Just seen Atalanta have apparently enquired about Iwobi - not sure how true this is.

Any of the Ed’s know about it?

They are a sensible well run club in the past. Reckon click bait as also names one player from lots of other clubs. But you never know!

I can’t understand why they’d want him, but let’s hope it’s true! I’d accept 10 million just to get rid and start again!

Let him go for 10p and that would be a rip off 😂😂.

I'll be honest, after Saturdays reality check, I've been rather down when it comes to anything Everton related.

But boy, did the article stating that Atalanta might be interested in Iwobi perk me up.

If it is you got to think why.
A - they've lost there minds

B - they see a technically proficent player who may be being used in the wrong place, they think they can improve him and will bring something to there team. Cases papu gomez or mario pascilic

Dont get me wrong i'm no iwobi fan. but Atalanta are no mugs and don't do stuff on the spare of the moment.

There’s a reason why we paid over 30 million for the lad. But it hasn’t worked out, so, they’re welcome to try and get a tune out of him.

Looked like clickbait to me. Headline citing interest in multiple prem players to get clicks from fans of different clubs.
Hope it's true of course, another in the long list of bad signings. If this summer ended up being the clear out we so desperately need and not much coming in I could live with that - as long as we don't go down, would give us a chance for a proper look at whether youngsters are good enough and put us in a better position to have a positive window next summer.

Atalanta are the smartest team in Europe when it comes to transfers. There’s a player in Iwobi, under the proper set-up, but we refuse to play half-decent football which doesn't suit his play. If it happens, they’ll be getting a good player.

I am yet to see this player you speak of.

He is quite literally garbage. What is he good at? I can't name one strength of his. He is an awkward mover, has a brain the level of Barkley's and has no end product.

He is one of the worst signings we have made in the premier league. Around £35 million and he has scored 2 goals. The mind boggles how anyone tries/ wants to defend him.

I would imagine he will be to expensive for them, i'm sure we would want to get a fair amount back.

I remember when Dunc took over for a few games and we beat Chelsea at Goodison with ball boys taking turns to hug the big lad. I gave Iwobi man of the match. He was everywhere and never stopped running and had a massive grin on his face at the end having given everything.
So maybe it's about how he's used and whether the style of play suits him and Carlo just had other ideas. He's quick and strong and can actually beat defenders (although his final ball could be better) and he'll run all day. He probably needs to improve his positional play but that's something a good manager can sort. So I think there's a good player in there.

Think it's the usual case of them asking around for loan players and us saying we'd rather sell.
