All depends on what the 'meeting certain criteria' are. If he doesn't meet them, he will be available on a free once his loan finishes.

Efcone how would he be available on a free? Surely as he signed a 5yr contract with us and if he doesn’t meet the criteria in the loan he’d be back to us as would still have 1yr left on the 5yr contract he signed with us?

Yeah, kind of realised that after I posted. Call it early morning brain.
I guess even if it doesn't go well in Turin, we should at least get a few mill for him if we can sell him. That plus the loan fees will wipe off most of the outlay on him. So apologies Big C, you may be right, not a great deal but a decent one under the circumstances.

All complicated these loans with criteria’s involved.
Hopefully the criteria is met and we don’t see him again until we’re playing juventus in the champions league next season - 😂
Shame it never worked out with us, but as Ed002 said it was only as a stepping stone.
Looks like the deal is not as bad as we all first thought.
Also gets a wage off the books as well as a player out of the club who doesn’t want to be with us.
