Can't believe this report about Holgate, Newcastle are apparently after him but we have turned down an offer because we want to. Keep him, nooooooooo.

{Ed025's Note - it baffles me as well GB..

And with Allan apparently allowed to leave…if there is a single Evertonian that still believes that Benitez is the right man for the job then you better go find another team…we have become an absolute laughing stock from board down to the manger and even now down to our better players giving interviews and wanting to leave…I just don’t know how much more I can take!
Get him gone and get him gone NOW.

Keeping Holgate this window makes sense unless its a sale.

Agree SA90 - very little point in loaning him out, can’t believe he’s on massive wages so may as well keep him at club and use if injuries force it.

If an offer of a purchase came in I’m sure that club would cash in on it.

Letting Alan leave, is crazy, not selling Holgate when there are offers, is sheer insanity.
Anything over 10m, I would bit there hands off, he gives second rate liability a bad name.

{Ed0666's Note - second rate liability? Clearly you’ve been in a car when she’s been driving?

GB Just out of interest you would rather see Holgate go before Rondon Delph Kenny and Iwobi? We could if the club wanted loan out all our crap players at with no fee and pay their wages and I'm sure there would be plenty of clubs in the lower divisions that would take them. However, that would be just stupid. Holgate may not be the best but why loan a squad player that can fill in multiple positions and provides reasonable cover especially with our injury record over the last two seasons. If we could sell him then yes but loan without an obligation to but which in effect is a delayed sale then that's not for me.

Rondon first mate followed by Iwobi and Holgate, Kenny then Delph in an ideal world all to be sold but never will happen, just want what Rafa is doing giving us upgrades on what we have, Gray and Townsend speak volumes for me what he is trying to do, we all agree we have so many donkeys at the mo, and that’s not being fair to donkeys lol.

{Ed025's Note - and he still wont play dobbin.. :)

Sa90 honestly I think some Everton peeps have such ingrained opinions about players that nothing will change. Holgate couple of seasins ago was the bees knees, Godfrey the same. Confidence, trust, support, coaching, fitness (body and mind) , all are important. All should be taken in the round.
