Hi Ed, are you aware of any updates regarding the manager? I’ve heard that Lampard will be getting a second interview, Rooney to be interviewed and that the situation will be sorted by end of next week. Wondering if you’d heard anything on your end? Thanks in advance.

Sunday today, is Lampard the miracle worker those that do; pray for! Serious question though, are Lampard and Rooney the only ones' in the frame?

{Ed002's Note - There has been advice and phonecalls but others recommended are perhaps not available or not interested as it is not the most attractive solution. I have explained that Lampard is a good option as he will certainly look at the youngsters and give some a chance. I suggested to Ed025 that Rooney was only being considered to placate the fans and he is not so sure it would.}

You're getting better Ed! (Joking) , I agree with all of that. Don't know what you expect charlie571. Lampard would indeed look to bring through some of our young (er) players (good enough, old enough) ! Besides, how has playing so-called experience gone for us!

I think Lampard wouldn’t be a bad shout. I’d imagine Richarlison and DCL will both be off in the summer, along maybe Allan, Pickford and Mina and let’s not forget all those turds we’ve got stuck in the pipe who are out of contract or need to go. It could be a very young team next season and he could be the man to manage them.

{Ed077's Note - Lampard would surely need a DoF to overlook the club. He isn't ready to manage the whole club, not yet anyways

Why would all those players you mentioned be leaving at the end of the season? Have there contracts run out?
I have looked at those that do and non of them are on there. So why would we sell them?

Lampard has little experience. I have never called for Ferguson to get the job in previous years. Against the likes of Carlo he didn't stand a chance. Now we are looking at inexperienced candidates who would leave at the drop of a hat if a better option was offered. Duncan has shown his loyalty not going to Real Madrid. I don't know who would be the better option from Ferguson Lampard or Rooney but go for the Evertonian.

Woburn, apparently 7 are out of contract in summer and no noises about any extensions.
