Ipswich Town have now agreed a deal to sign Jaden Philogene from Aston Villa for £21M. This might come as a surprise to many on here as it seemed we were in for him. But just wanted to clarify what happened, we wanted to sign him as he was a player highly favoured by Potter trying to entice him to take the managerial job, but as soon as he decided to go to West Ham we pulled out of the deal. Not been a great few days for us blues admittedly losing out on our no.1 managerial target and now a decent young talented player, but hey we are Everton.

I'm not overly bothered we missed out on the villa guy, but. It's the fact he chose Ipswich (if rumours are true) then that is a true reflection how unattractive we are as a club! Very poor!
