I can't believe what am hearing fans saying they don't want carlo Ancelotti. The man is a serious winner he has a football brain he can attract top players also he wins trophy's This man is the type of manager we should be looking for. Hope we get him COYB pull this one off ✌️✌️✌️.

Evo do a bit more research about him, his CV is great but there are aspects that do flag warnings especially regarding suitability of managing a club that may well be in relegation battle when he arrives.

He was an exceptional manager, are youjust basing our next manager on what he has won? if so should we get pellegrini in when west ham sack him? he's won things? its about if its a good fit, carlo's clubs have had the best players in the world in wherever he's been, is he the right man to one to oen coach our players to become better, as that's our new model? or will he want to just buy buy buy? its about the fit, he's 60 years old now, will he have the bit between his teeth to come here and achieve something? he wasnt like that at napoli with great players, so why would he be here?

Look into his work properly i can't believe am listening to this. Yes be has been sacked quiet a big yes he has ups an downs with the owners of the clubs he manages but what your forgetting is he has managed top teams pressure is huge expectations are high he is going to clash with owners managers want time but at massive clubs you don't get time what this man has done is unreal i couldn't care less if he has been sacked and he clashes . He noes what he wants he will attract top players and its a breath off fresh air he will be offered a project which we all no will take 3/ 5 years realistically get us back un europe before we move into the new ground an build a squad

Sorry for my spellings i am terrible at it 🙈.

he has managed top teams, this isn't a top team? what this man has done with brilliant sides is unreal. this isn't a brilliant side. honestly best example is pellegrini, west ham all thought the same about him. i'm not saying ancelotti shouldn't be in, i'm just questioning the fit, i'd rather have a younger manager who coaches players to become better and has the enthusiasm to prove himself, carlo ancelotti has nothing to prove at this stage in his career.

I don't know what exactly happened at Napoli wblue2 but what little I've heard is that there is a lot of friction between the players and the board but where Carlos fits into that I'm not sure

Even with, or despite the above, he had a 52% win ration and has qualified them into last 16 of Champions League.

I can only say "I wish"

Apart from you saying you'd prefer Ferguson over Moyes if we had to appoint an interim manager which I happen to agree with I couldn't see who you wanted as manager long term. Have you anyone in mind?

Whoever we get will be a gamble and there will be a lot of people unhappy - it's the Everton way unfortunately.

We have had younger managers martinez koeman silva it did not work. Time for change and some one with a lot off experience in management.

Ranieri was 64 and had won nothing when he took over at Leicester

Ancelotti is 60 and has won everything

Might be worth a punt

Or do we say Ranieri is more like Moyes as he has won nothing?

@evocallum mate I totally agree, to me he is the best out there, he was unfairly treated at Chelsea after winning the double in first year and has had major success with most clubs (albeit better teams than us at present) . I just find it hard to believe he is interested, I hope I am wrong. only concern is has he ever worked with a squad as poor as ours is currently.

listen as i've previously stated, i'm not trying (althought looking back looks like i have! ) to completely bash the man as our potential manager, i'm just trying to look at it from a step back. yes we do need someone who is going to whip their a** in shape, carlo could do that and who knows maybe he has got a point to prove here after being sacked by chelsea for doing not a lot wrong! i'm just thinking a lot of people complain about managers not getting this club, will carlo do that? with napoli yes there is unrest but he has still arguably not done great there with the squad (if the friction is between the managers and the board why would he be sacked for this btw? ) its an interesting one, if he did get appointed don't get ahead of ourselves.

in reply to bw2412 i'm not sure what point you're trying to make involving ranieri in this?

11.) 12 Dec 2019
12 Dec 2019 14:47:10
in the question of who i had in mind, that's the question, apart from the obvious options of poch marcelino, i did quite like the thought of gallardo (has since ruled out moving from river) apart from that i am stumped unless the coaches are obviously not going to come (your likes of nagelsmann, ten hag, allegri) its a difficult appointment mate.

12.) 12 Dec 2019
12 Dec 2019 14:48:13
Now i'm not saying i do or don't want him but i remember watching Liverpool v Napoli and Liverpool were killing Napoli despite Napoli being 1 up, Ancelloti made a slight change in the formation and it nullified what could have been a Liverpool whitewash.

I remember thinking then he seems tactically quite clever.

13.) 12 Dec 2019
12 Dec 2019 14:59:32
smit of course he is, he's great defensively, this is the question of fit again, where as he had koulibaly manolas and allan sat infront (one of the best defensive trio in world football) it would be very different story here, that's my only thing with him for the state we are in at the minute is this man the right fit to pick this group of players up and do something with them, you see klopp when he came in coached players he ahd and made them usable that's what everton needs same with pep (and yes i know these are the best two managers in the world right now) but there are other managers out there similar to this, marcel brands job to find the fit.

12 Dec 2019 15:08:12
Maybe I didn't make the point well wblue2.

You'd made the point that we shouldn't look at what he has won or else we'd consider Pellegrini. I was saying that Ranieri had won nothing before Leicester. What does that mean? We should go for someone who has won nothing like Moyes?

I agree - records are not the be all and end all and logic plays no part sometimes in football - it all depends on the footballing gods - but personally I'd rather put my money on a thorough bred like Ancelotti than a beach donkey like David Moyes

I probably still haven't explained it well but that was the point I was trying to make

By the way you still haven't said who you want as manager. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it.

bw2412, interesting article, read up yesterday he leaves napoli still close friends with the chairman, in regards to the anceolotti v moyes question its a clear winner in carlo, but i'd like to thinkt the club have a list that consists of just him and moyes, in regards to who i want i replied above mate, but here it is again; "in the question of who i had in mind, that's the question, apart from the obvious options of poch marcelino, i did quite like the thought of gallardo (has since ruled out moving from river) apart from that i am stumped unless the coaches are obviously not going to come (your likes of nagelsmann, ten hag, allegri) its a difficult appointment mate"

All good choices but the list is getting smaller all the time. If we waited until summer would we get Nagelsman, ten Haag or Allegri or will they stay were they are or have better projects elsewhere. Are Pochetino or Arteta really interested in us?

We have a chance (how big is debateable) at getting a top top manager in Ancelotti. I honestly think he is worth the risk. Everyone is a bloody risk. Van Gaal and Mourinho failed at Man U. There are no guarantees in football but I'd take a punt on Carlos.

i said mate nagelsmann ten haag and allegri would never come, i also said i have no idea who i would want in apart from poch or gallardo, thankfully its not my job.

Not in 1 or 2 weeks time but in 12 mths, 24 mths 36 mths time. We need the right decision for the future of Everton, not knee jerk reactions from the real decision makers.
