Ok so here's my take on the Carlo saga.
I think seriously that he has had a good look now at what he has at the club and decided that the job of rebuilding a team was not really for him.
The Real Madrid job coming along when it did was just coincidence, and he knows there the competition isn't as fierce, and he only has to tinker a little with the team.
But in truth I think if any of the top two or three clubs in Spain or Italy had come up then the outcome would have been the same.
The guy just didn't have the stomach for the battle ahead. Which is a pity because then we all might have seen just how good a manager he really is.

The door will give his a**e a whack for leaving like this, and rightly so, he said way too much BS too recently to boot.
Personally I think he has put question marks on his cv re integrity which were not there before.
The talk about his not being able to feel the warm affection of Evertonians because of the C.V. restrictions and so on and also the unprecedented conditions in stadiums being a big handicap, may or not be a factor in him leaving, though the fact is he made sure he left didn't he as neither the fans or the board did !?
