Difficult to put a positive spin on the lack of signings today. Regardless of the good results and performances up to now, our squad is short by some margin and injuries/ suspensions will impact us hugely.
We've got rid of plenty of players and reduced the wage bill significantly, but not replaced them. If we were going for players we couldn't afford, then other players should have been targeted. Really poor from all at the club.

Totally agree JBT. If we haven't got the money we needed to get a loan deal for a RB. We also needed more numbers, but not tried hard enough to replace!

It feels like the club is starting to be run correctly again. You guys may be kicking and screaming at the lack of signings but we've made 5. Yes we need an RB but we have cover pretty much everywhere, got rid of a lot of deadwood which in long run will serve this club well.

Our wage bill was/ is horrendous for a club with our income and we csnt keep ignoring that fact. Finally we are addressing it.

Disagree JB. We have shifted a few out and brought 5 in for less than 2 million. As some have said before, maybe the performances of the likes of Iwobi, now playing under a manager who gets a tune out of him, made the need for other reinforcements less important. At the end of the day none of us fans have a clue what goes on behind the scenes at the club but there must have been a need for the window to be how it’s been.

I think our squad is a strong one when all are fit but agree we could be short if some injuries hit us. Maybe, just maybe, we now have a proper manager who is going to stick around for a while and is actually going to get these clearly talented playing to their potential. I for one am happy with things at the club.
