We've all seen different reports referring to the wages Rodriguez is on at Everton. It's now reported on today's Everton rumours now site that Brands offer was £250,000 per week.
Would like to know which is the true figure to stop all these reports coming out.

{Ed025's Note - its a huge amount brian whatever the figure, for me he is a luxury player who at this moment in time is not what we need, yes he has flashes of brilliance but does not work hard enough for me and is more suited to the european leagues where the pace is slower and you have more time on the ball, just my opinion of course mate..

If he was on £215k at Real Madrid I can’t see him wanting to go anywhere else for less, particularly to a team not competing in Europe. So would not be surprised if he was offered £250k to come to us.

According to SSN, James is on 220k per week, nice if you can get it, eh?
Ed025, do you think that he would be better utilised in the No 10 role rather than as a winger? I've never seen him as a RW even before he came to us and, as you point out, I'd expect the physicality of the league is more intense than he is used to. Getting back and helping defend isn't, and has never been, one of his strong points. So, considering we are shelling out over 200k per week for him, isn't it worth giving him a more attacking role? Obviously, that's if he trains well and commits himself to the cause. I hate waste and I'd rather not see that amount get thrown at him every week without some kind of pay back!

{Ed025's Note - i think the No 10 role is perfect for him BP, but even there he still has to put himself about and chase back when needed, he needs to win rafa over though and he does not suffer fools gladly mate, and im with rafa here if players are not willing to give their all for the shirt then out the door they go..

Ed025, totally agree mate, he has to show he wants to play for the badge by training well first and foremost. If he is ever going to put our shirt on again then he needs to stay away from the wing!
Every player has to buckle down and toe the line if they want Rafa to play them. Rightly so, we haven't had that squad discipline since the Moyes era in my opinion.

{Ed025's Note - thats right BP, rafa,s philosophy is shape up or ship out and that works for me mate..
