Honestly the other night has multiple view points. The first 50-60 mins where really poor. Rafa brought on Gomes and changed the formation and changed the game completely. Top tactician!

He did mate, but to be fair I think everyone watching realised that the formation wasn’t working. Still the guy changed it and we looked like a different team because of it.
Think the best thing to happen to this club recently was Ancelotti going. I mean could you imagine him going for Townsend and Gray?
Rafa has made a good start, get decent results in the next two games and people will forget his past, and start looking to the future.

I agree - maybe could have done it a bit earlier as it was obviously not working from the start but I think he wants this system to work for some games so will need more practice at it - maybe might see it again vs QPR/ Norwhich

I’m guessing he would like to rely on it vs City / Utd / Chelsea etc.

I thought Digne was very quiet first half and Keane had a shaky game - hopefully his goal gives him a bit of confidence but he’s been poor this season so far - I do think he’s a good player though and will come good

Top and bottom though - I’d have snapped your hand off for this start - aim for 4 points from Villa / Norwich and beat QPR in cup - 6 points and I’d say we would be flying

Iwobi, Townsend Gray Decore Pickford DCL Coleman alan all been quality so far

Hopefully Richarlison gets a couple in next 2-3 games.
