Hiya Ed002. Obviously everyone is talking about Newcastle at the moment and how they're going to buy everyone under the sun. Read that they can only spend 200mill over the next three years without breaching FFP/ prem rules. Obviously outgoings would change that figure

Does that sound about right or is there more to it?

{Ed002's Note - No. Newcastle can spend their rolling profit plus up to the full FFP losses limit this season. Anything beyond that needs to be offset against additional income from match day, commersial (e.g. sponsorship) or broadcasting. They can request to be allowed to add to that as new owners - but that seems unlikely. The three years is a rolling window so next year and the year after will be determined by the inclome the generate including player sales.}
