Surely we need to stop being insane. the definition of which is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

We cannot be sacking a manager every time they lose a few games.

We need to take it on the chin and give time to revamp the squad, build the project and move us forward.

We have so many players taking huge wages for being awful, we have ffp issues so we need a manager with experience of coaching a team rather than buying one.

Rafa has that experience and signs with gray and townsend that he can spot a player.

We need to return to the days of funding young hungry players from lesser clubs or leagues and mixing them with a few big names (once ffp goes away) to build a winning team.

This will take years. If we give rafa another 2 or 3 windows then we will be in a better place to challenge rather than bringing another new manager in who can do no better with the players we have.

Spot on geoffjono, Rafa or anyone else can only do so much with players who can't pass a ball 10 yards and panic at every set piece. Until we can ship out a few players we won't make much progress no matter who the manager is. Unfortunately some are on such good wages they won't move until they have less than a year left on their contracts and even then would expect us to pay up to the end for their supposed loyalty.
