I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion with some of you, but I strongly disagree. Benitez should go, and he should go now. Team selection (Rondon) and tactics (442) was wrong last night - we lost the game in the first 5 minutes; completely overrun and psychologically beaten. Having your biggest rivals' fans signing your manager's name as they dismantle you on the field is not OK.

For me, the timing is perfect. Duncan in for the next few games to try and build some confidence back. New manager in around Christmas, who can then be backed in January.

I've supported the manager since he took over, but this is our worst run in over 20 years. It is unacceptable.

Yes the manager puts the team out but it's not his team it's a team that's been there stuck in a rut for a couple of years and he inherited it.

Every new manager can use the excuse that the squad is not his. Doesn’t make every manager tactically inept.
This appointment was doomed to fail from day one. This backlash was inevitable at some point.
The most worrying thing for me is the apparent lack of harmony amongst the players. Tactical genius or not, he does not appear to be able to motivate the players. I for one can’t see how he turns this round.

Rafa needs time to make this his own squad. Sack him and we will end up being relegated, we simply can't afford to bring someone else in and confuse these so called players even more!
GB, it is good to hear something from the club but a text message to Jim White 8s not the way to go about ot. FM is making a rod for his own back with the way he's made his statement.
