Looked solid at the back while Mina was on, and looked better in midfield when Gomes came on and we went 4-3-3.
Thought Richardson tonight was immense, not only for his goals but in the effort he put in to win the ball back. Highlighted perfectly when in the last minutes ha was at right back winning the ball.
Had a little bit of luck when they hit the post, but hey it's about time we had some luck.
Still need a r/ b in the window, and probably a l/ b to now.
Oh and a c/ h / captain who can get this out of the players every game. Mina just to injury prone sadly.

Don't know where that Richarlison has been, maybe he thought he was playing for Brazil but I hope we can keep that guy interested.

Sure we need a RB and Striker, and CB but now a LB too. What do others think is priority for Jan? one thing I'm sure we don't need another aging overpaid player like Ramsey.

Over the moon fir Gomes too. His close control to set up Gray was brilliant. Vintage Gomes when he came on. Hopefully his injury is well behind him and his mind is back in the game. He will be a major asset in a midfield 3 with Allan and Doucoure.

'That' Richarlison is one of the hardest working players we have add to that his obvious skill and ability, best position for me is coming in from the left. Still needed that bit of luck last night but it gave the Club a lift. All we can ask (all I and the old school old (er) buggars have wanted) is the fight and effort for the Club and badge the players showed last night. Make no mistake we are going to lose more games but what supporters want is to see our team trying and putting in a 100 percent.

Who we can sign will be dictated by FFP.
We can’t afford to lump 30 mill on a 21 year old prospect. I don’t mind the club signing 30+ year olds as an interim, on short term deals, as long as they are an improvement on what we have. If we can sign/ loan a versatile full back, a striker, and a right midfielder, I’d be happy. If we can offload Iwobi and Tosun (maybe Digne now too) it would strengthen our position to sign 3 or 4. Going to be an interesting window.

The FFP issue is a conundrum we can amortise fees but not wages. So a free 30yr old on a high fee is as unhelpful as a costly young player on a lower wage. The ideal would for me be two short term loans of quality players whos wages are subsidised. A couple of free transfers on affordable wages to see us through to the end of the season. Then if we can reduce our financial commitments during the off season we can the look to add more quality and maybe tie up a few of the players that are out of contract.

We will need a left back if rumours are true about him and Digne mate.

It was buying "free" thirty year old's on high wages that put us in this mess. Remember Bernard, James?
We can purchase players but they have to be on sensible contracts, not fantasy money.

Nope Digne will be 'other'.

Initially Kenwright and Moshri's apparent know nothings were like kids in a sweetshop. Along came Brands not allowed to do his job (advisors! ) so he thought stuff it, became a yes man. Comes Rafa, not having this and pushes back. Brands got his 3 year, so legs it with a full year pay off. I have had a pop at Kenright without knowing the story.

I truly hope that the advisors have gone now and the ground up long term project is genuine. No doubt the 27 minute lot will seek their 15 minutes again so for Gods sake don't puncture their mini buses tyres so they can leg it and congratulate one another on how grown up they are, while drinking their yoghurt shakes.
