My shortlist

Potter - before people start saying that Brighton aren't much better than Everton position wise we have to remember Potter hasn't had the millions we've wasted over the last 5 years. With very little money he has built a team that is defensively sound and plays good football. He's not expressed much interest in Everton but maybe that's because we always seem to have him in the frame but never the front runner

Kovac/ Galtier Both successful in Europe and I think could do well in the Premiership. Lack of Premiership experience is a gamble

Dyche - like Potter done a good job with no money although struggling this year but still 10 years in the Premiership so knows what it takes. He could keep us up but would he move us forward? Personally I think though he is closest to the Everton ethos - the Fans Club

Rooney - doing a great job at Derby but it would be a big gamble for both us and him at this stage of his career

Martinez - I'm not sure why he is the favorite in the betting. Reasonable first season for us last time but then fell away. Has a great Belgium side on paper now but not won anything. I don't think he is the one to unite the club and its fanbase

Duncan - great player for the club and had a good THREE games as interim manager. Surprisingly I don't feel at 50 years old he has displayed the courage to be manager by his reluctance to leave Everton and prove himself elsewhere.
