I don't see the hype around Big Dunc been appointed has interm, he is coach that is not tactically gifted, he lacks tactically awareness, yes he will get they players raved up but how long, if the chips are down will he be able to change the game, he coaches on hype.

Not saying you are wrong, but what evidence are you basing all those statements on?

I think the “hype” is because we have had every type of manager imaginable. We know we aren’t doing anything anytime soon. So why not enjoy ourselves and feel connected to the club again, Ferguson and Baines do that.

DF's form as caretaker boss is unquestionable and given our current circumstances SB23, I for one would be more than comfortable he took that job.

On the tactical awareness front If supporters can see what's going wrong on the pitch and work out how to change tactics to affect the game then surely a coach with the amount of experience of DF should be able to as well? Or are we talking about pre match analysis of opponents and assessing how to negate their tactics without affecting how you want to play the game including unforeseen variables which would be more technical. Again if a manager has the right technical team around him this shouldn't be to much of an issue. For me its not the tactical ability of the managers that hinder performance but their inability to be pragmatic with their methodology and be humble enough to adapt if things aren't going well. I don't know, but I would hope that this is all looked at during the attainment of qualifications which I believe DF has completed to the highest level.

Good post SA, one word that stands out for me is ''pragmatic''.
