Hey Ed 025 who would be your pick as our next manager mate, I have no idea now after giving Bobby, Carlo and Rafa my full backing what do I know, maybe someone younger like Frank but who ever it is he will not be welcome by all, just hope this time around it is the right manager for Everton and we get out of this nightmare.

{Ed025's Note - at this stage i would have to say kovac mate, but it looks like either lampard or rooney..

Not sure about Rooney mate but time will tell eh.

That's what I said mate but you replied "FFS". Not sure either is ready, why not try Duncan before either of these two, at lest we know he will not jump ship at the first offer from a bigger club and he has passion for our club.? What do you think?

{Ed025's Note - out of them 3 dunc would be my choice mike, this cannot afford to be an experiment to see how good a young manager will do mate..

Why would anyone want lampard.

{Ed025's Note - young, brings youth through, media friendly?...its a no from me as well mate..

I agree Ed. It's Dunc for me until the end of the season and then reassess the situation. He knows the players and what they are capable of doing and his enthusiasm should rub off on the squad. Any new manager, espacially Rooney or Lampard will take time to bed in and make his own impact and we may end up too close to the relegation zone.

If it's Rooney or lampard it will be the end of everton in the prem for years. If they get the job I'm done this chairman.

Tell you what I have been looking at Fulhams stats and just listened to Silva's comments. 'We look to see how we can cause problems for our opponents'. Makes a lot of sense to me and also seems he has learned at this level. For me right now he is a better option than Shrek and Lampard.

{Ed025's Note - dont tell me you want him back DFS?, hes a championship manager plying his trade in the championship, where he belongs mate..

Who knows? You get someone in with Prem experience and middle aged as opposed to "young" a serial "winner" Big game know how and able to build a team fast like Southampton and he flops and goes insane with some DOF who clearly spent Sunday nights stuck to a Meth pipe before the working week.
You go for a young gun who everyone is jealous of when appointed even though some of his club choices previously were suspect, he's lauded as the new Jose. He flops.
You get a boring park the bus ex England boss who seems respected if not liked and well. All the teams around him blow up and he somehow flukes an 8th that no one seemed to want that year, and he gets sacked because a rich club can't have that type of uglyness.
You get one of the top 3 bosses of all time and to be fair everything went wrong from a world C.V. to a club that had to put the cheque book away and ultimately never made a connection as he barely had any fans to watch his time in charge. Out of the blue, the world's biggest club come calling and he decides (rightly) to fly immediately out of the never to be seen again. (with a double or treble likely) (who was calling him a has been? )
Then we go left field and get him. A manager so loathed that he would have still been on a hiding to nothing if he'd won every game. A monster of an ego maniac who we all knew what he'd do. He'd play the fans against the bigwigs against the staff and basically destroy whatever system was in place. A CL winner a LA liiga winner twice? Spanish cups etc etc.
I say if it's a toss up between Lamps and Wazza, go Wazz. Atleast he knows the club, knows the pressure knows the pride. because as CVs go, there really isn't any separation. Why get a londoner who will spend half the week down souf and will take the 1st Southern job that comes if he's successful? Literally no guarantees of who or what a new manager can do. We could get a 45 year old Sir Alec and he'd get sacked from us too. Rafa had to go but the next guy really needs to spell out the plan and we as fans need to support that. The joke has gone on long enough. I say welcome Wayne at the end of the season. Who knows what's going to fix it. Time probably.

{Ed025's Note - i say appoint someone with more moral fibre BS..

What I am saying Ed is we look at maybe's wuthout seemingly any diligence used. As I said earlier, we look at Rooney who even with penalty removed would only have Derby 11th. Lampard went to Derby 7th, called in all his markers and had Derby 7th. Went to Chelsea did well with all that talent then fell apart. We look at 'names' but not the reason for their availability.

{Ed025's Note - thats a fair point DFS..

Yep spit on Ed.

{Ed025's Note - dont say that to carragher mate...or he just might.. :)

A Derby who'd be 11th with some old journeymen cobbled together with some kids who ordinarily wouldn't be in the 1stbteam if they had kept a squad. In arguably the toughest league in the world. And still a lot of games to play, so who knows where (if you'd give the 21 points back, they'll end up? ) it will be the greatest escape of all time but hey, he likes Grannies and England team mates cousins when he was younger so let's black mark him. Oh he also left us for a trophy laden career, how ruddy dare he!

{Ed025's Note - its all about opinions mate, some may be happy to have a manager with the morals of a sewer rat, its just that im not..

Sorry Ed, spot on!

{Ed025's Note - no probs mate..

True that 25,true that. Can't doubt his fledgling manager career though can you?

{Ed025's Note - he has done well BS and in adversity, who knows in 3 or 4 years he may well be ready for a club of our magnitude mate..

13.) 19 Jan 2022
19 Jan 2022 20:43:11
Ed, get you are coming from with the morals issue 100%. Can I ask your thoughts on having a manager with 3 convictions for common assault and one of those was against a serving police officer? .

Just to point out Ed you have no issue with either personally especially when they serve there time / punishment etc. both crimes and morals etc.

{Ed025's Note - i can forgive errors of judgement Blu, we all make mistakes at times but its how you effect the lives of others that matters mate, does that make me a hypocrite?...probably..

Not at all Ed, just wondered that’s all. Let’s face it… I think the whole football community knew that the lad didn’t deserve a prison sentence and the way he conducted himself since and as he got older seems to be spot on.
Would be interesting to see some of the thoughts of the fans who sit by me and who just could not get over Rafa’s ‘small club jibe’ yet won’t bat an eyelid at Rooney who was one of our own he was kissing the badge of Man Utd in front of us yet all is forgiven!

{Ed025's Note - yeah Blu, its funny how we all have our own threshold when it comes to managers coming in, it really used to effect me and my mood but now im at the stage where i just let them get on with it mate, i think i have been beaten senseless by this club for over 60 years and i have had enough..

Pages like this are if you forgive me, are just sound offs, sometimes serious, sometimes humerous and actually more times than not good source (between the lines) of accurate info. A brief spell away (break from) the serious issues of life. Us old buggars enjoy the banter and when I's. ?.

{Ed025's Note - i do enjoy it DFS but in the end its just a game, and one supporters have very little say in mate..
