So it seems like it's a question if Frank Lampard or Vitor. I would choose Lampard but surely there is a third choice?! It's the third choice that I would personally choose and that is the big fella. Give him until the end of the season and reassess. What are the other two going to do with no time afforded to for the players to adjust to their tactics and no support like how Ferguson gets. They don't know the players, they don't have the same understanding or professional relationship that Dunc has. They don't have the passion for the club that Dunc has. We have been crying out for a manager who will play the young lads, big Dunc will. What if the new manager comes in and can't get started right away? Things will sour even more. It seems a huge gamble to me to go for either of those two, a gamble for the future and a gamble this season. More dangerously a gamble we would have no time to reverse or limit the damage if it didn't pay off. Put a hault to this clown like managerial pursuit. Fergsuon until the end of the season is a no brainer to me.

There is no guarantee he will play the kids, especially the position we are in. He went for Townsend over Gordon who has been playing better than most of late.

Been involved in too much failure for me and keeps his job while everyone else loses theirs. Won't take manager job because if he gets sacked he will have to leave the gravy train and stand on his own 2 feet.

I was in the big Dunc camp - however his team selection and line up against Aston Villa raised concerns for me.

Dropping Gordon who had been our best player recently was crazy.

Starting Kenny and holgate also questionable.

Not sure his passion for the club is enough, also he's been he under every failed manager - why hasn't he gone and got managerial experience like Gerard, lampard and Rooney have?

The more I look at the options the more I think Lampard is the most sensible option.

Experience of the league as both player and manager, whilst sacked at Chelsea he developed a lot of those players - mount as a stand out. He's gone to one of the toughest leagues with a team in trouble and did ok. He's young enough that he's not already set in his ways.

Sadly think if Duncan isn't going to be manager he has been involved with all other fails. I think he needs to go be a manager elsewhere then be a serious contender when we come calling. New manager deserves his own backroom staff.

If it"s Lampard then he already has a number two, and by all accounts a very good one.

He made a mistake with Gordon yes. He was going with runners, experience and also Townsend protects the right back much better than Gordon. However we don't have enough creativity in the sqaud to leave Gordon out for tactical reasons. His subs were good though and he gave Gordon and Onayango enough time to have an impact. He hasn't got a left left back, Coleman's been terrible and Keane even worse. I don't think Kenny and Holgate selections are a cause for concern. He did make a mistake with the Gordon selection. It's important to consider that Townsend, before his absence, was one of our best players also and he realised what he did didn't work and changed it which demonstrates that he will most probably learn from that whilst most of our managers that we have had would be too stubborn. He gave Onayango plenty of time which suggests he will give the young lads a shot. I don't understand what he was meant to do? How can big Dunc do anything when the managers have been shocking and almost every decision the board has made has been unbelievably and disgracefully poor. What was he supposed to do. He's an assistant manager not Harry Potter, can't work magic.

Hasn’t got a left back? Could have swore we bought one just recently?

Indeed Woburn, not only did we buy a left back we also bought a rightback who not only cost us a fair whack for his age is also a Scottish international.

Yet we played Godfrey at leftback and Kenny at right back which meant holgate played centre back.

He should have played Patterson, Mina, Godfrey and myolenko as his back 4.

Would that have guaranteed a better result?
Everyone was slagging Mykalenko off the week before.
