Having DCL back will be a big help, move Richie to the left, Gordon on the Right and Dele can definitely pick drop downs of DCL from deep, play through balls etc. Beek needs to start, only one with some composure on the ball.

Was a tough watch but we should have enough to scrape through til the summer then will need a massive rebuild.

Agreed Ed. No idea what’s happened to him in the last three years but he looks completely disinterested and lost on the pitch. Only positive is we only pay a fee if he plays games and on the evidence of last night that shouldn’t happen.

We all know Deli is a bit of a gamble.

A lot of us thought Gray was a gamble and look how he has turned out for us

If it works Dele will be worth every penny. If not he costs us some wages - not insignificant but worth the gamble in my view, but we need to give him a bit of time as confidence is everything and he seems short of it just now but that's not surprising after his last couple of years.

Frank is well capable of giving him that confidence.

I am not convinced that Alli's career is finished . If indeed he really wants to resurrect it as it were he is in the ideal spot, helping Everton out of a difficult situation would be a big feather in his cap, and would be a prime 'shop window' placing for him too.
Unless he is on the dumb side he will surely see this as a big opportunity.
