And just a point on Gordon. My brother was in his year at Wade deacon. He'd been telling me how good he was from about 14-16 ( although he did megs him in PE lol)

The start of the season I was of the opinion that he wasn't quite good enough. How wrong was I. He seems to get better with each game. The last few games he looks 100% a premier league level of player. For me he's Everton's Mount under Lampard. The future is bright . UTFT!

Can’t argue with that Swan. Such a shame with regards to Barkley. All the raw talent in the world but as you say, no brain to utilise it. Off field antics don’t help as well. Honestly think he regrets leaving more than anything else.

Gordon on the other hand seems to be intelligent ( went to Wade deacon) top school so no surprise. He was a red when younger but we all acted stupid when we where younger so I’ll forgive him. He saw sense in the end lol.

Hopefully Dobbin is the next 1 to come through! . That Lewis Warrington looks a player that can benefit from Lampards coaching as well.

Barkley is a multi millionaire. He may not be as thick as you think. Getting paid more in a week than most people earn in a year. And doesn’t have to do anything for it.
His biggest crime is he wasted what talent he had, but then he wouldn’t be the first would he.

There’s a big difference between being paid silly money and being intelligent. Just like the difference between knowledge and wisdom.

Barkley had talent but lacked the wisdom to listen to those who advised him against the path he went down. He needed to leave the city because of more poor decisions.

He’s now a bit part player with an ever decreasing reputation in the game. Because of more poor decisions.

It’s hard to argue for the lad when people say he has no brains.

Honestly Ed, I’ve never been so disappointed in a player. He could’ve been a Goodson great, but started acting the big I am with very little credit in the bank. Oozing talent, gets into the England set up and then a soon as you know it he’s yesterdays news.

Not just that but almost a figure of hate amongst many of the fans and playing for Chelsea fans who couldn’t care if he went in the next window.

Absolute shocker.
