I have nothing but the greatest respect for Coleman, great players, great Evertonion, but, a bit like the great boxer who has one fight to many, and leaves battered and with his reputation in shreds, it's time for him to hang up his gloves before he to ruins his legacy's. its right for him, and it's right for the club.

I don’t mind him staying around in the event of injuries etc. Having him around for a season to get these young lads into gear and show them what it means to play for this great club can only benefit us.

You are right though, he shouldn’t be playing.

Would be nice for him to lead us out for the first game at BMD and then retire off his own accord. But I guess that’s just me being a sentimental fool.

Tend to agree with you Blue, though it pains me to say so.

I am going to reserve judgement until we are actually playing competitive footie lads n lassies.

They are just friendlies, everyone already knows Keane and Holgate are because they still have a year left on generous contracts.

We have very good cbs when fit, nothing to worry about their.

He will still be a solid option at rb this season, but he never gets past the winger, which Coventry did all night. With young on the other side we are left woefully short of any overlaps. Dixon is rapid and could break through this season.

That should be the case JB but Dyche doesn’t seem to favour fullbacks that bomb on and attack. Would be lovely to have some pace on the flanks for once.
