Hearing on Merseyside a deal has been reached for Ces Tosun for £25 Million and will be announced when the window opens, don't shoot the messenger.

For what it's worth, I think we need to hold back rushing in for a manager for the short term, let Unsworth have a go, only then will we know if he can step in and get the team believing and winning again, nothing lost and if it doesn't work out, we can then bring a manager in around December if needed.

Step up or not, we now have an Evertonian in who knows what it means to the fans and has a winning mentality who will not set up a team to get a draw, exciting times ahead.

1.) 24 Oct 2017 10:51:23
According to sky sports Bill and the players want Rhino as gaffer.

2.) 24 Oct 2017 12:38:53
Theoretical question? If he did appoint him and he went horribly wrong where would that leave Unsworth?

3.) 24 Oct 2017 12:40:26
Yeah but does he want it long term?

29 Jul 2017 12:05:07
news here on Merseyside, Siggerson spotted in Liverpool today big rumour doing the rounds, also left of of Swanseas friendly today, do not shoot the messenger.

Bazwil212

{Ed025's Note - i heard the same early this morning baz..

1.) 29 Jul 2017 15:14:40
Well he didn't go to the Midlands . and by all accounts he requested at least 'informally' to speak with us.

Any way fingers crossed .

14 Jul 2017 11:44:52
Swansea now saying they are looking into Siggerson being tapped up by Everton, strange saying they have turned a bid of £40 Million down by Leiceste, as far as I can see Everton submitted a couple of bids that Swansea came out in the press saying bid rejected, not sure what part of tapping up they mean, any idea Eds.

Bazwil212

{Ed025's Note - not a clue mate..

1.) 14 Jul 2017 12:07:48
it appears that swans are over exaggerating the situation to me gylfi wants move efc want move and swans are being ridiculous claiming we have tapped him up this is so they can save face like i said earlier this club cares not for the player or any other aspect of what's going on just they're own retarded valuation which has risen twice in this window this is a player who's value is around 25 mill mark when the player wants the move and a team is waiting to buy you do your self no favours with this kind of stuff other swans players are probs watching this situation thinking this could be me next year. one thing is for sure they are making sure gylfi is going to have a bad start for us the price and the weight of expectation on him to perform at efc will be growing by the day and no one can live under those conditions. as i understand it they told him last year they would not stand in his way if they recieve a good offer for him well they have had several good offers for him his head must be in bits as he realises the club have always intended to to play with his career to there own ends there has to be a cut of point to this pursuit he just isn't worth the money. he will never have played under this kind of weight before and it could find him out.

2.) 14 Jul 2017 14:07:31
You would make a good sensationalist Journo Bazwil212. All they did was warn Everton they would have to pay the full 50 million and they would not stand to Gylf being tapped up. Just a negotiating stance. Personally as I have said before looking at the prices going around, Sigurson is worth every penny of 50 Mill in comparison.

3.) 14 Jul 2017 17:30:47
To be honest I have only seen one official bid and that was us £40m I think Leicester was paper talk.
It's just a matter of time now to deal is done, especially after he was omitted from pre season tour. He is our next signing. Over weekend or early next week.
It's going to perfect all these player in already with plenty of chance to work as a squad.

Definitely best summer as a Everton fan who would of thought we would be where we are now a season and half ago.
The structure of club is great now new money stadium on the way just need to get rid of kit bag deal.

I'm from Bristol
Season ticket holder so only cause I'm up there a lot I can visit store otherwise I'd have to buy online.
My family don't even know how I become a fan but as I keep saying EVERTONIANS ARE BORN NOT MANUFACTURED.

4.) 14 Jul 2017 21:15:37
It has also sparked a response from Kaplan and Levien, who have released a joint statement on the matter where they have warned the ruthless Toffees about tapping up the player.

“At this time we have not received an offer from any club which represents a fair valuation of Gylfi given his importance to our club, ” said the Swansea owners, as quoted by WalesOnline.

“As we have stated, we will not be bullied or forced into a decision until a club meets our valuation of the player, no matter whether they believe they have an agreement with the player. Any such agreement would obviously be in contravention of Premier League legislation.

In my book that's as good as accusing Everton of trying to tap Siggy up.

We want £50 Million for Barkley, not for one minute would Everton accuse Spurs of tapping Barkley up if they offered £30 Million, it is called negotiating.

5.) 15 Jul 2017 06:24:34
you are deluded mate first off barkley will not be sold for 50 mill cause spurs won't pay it saying we want 50 mill is neg. what spurs will pay is neg. saying we want 100 mill for rom is neg. taking 75 is neg. over inflating the value is not neg it is greed pure and simple they could sell gylfi for 100 million but that money will go to america not to south wales. we are trying to buy a player from sports owners that usually deal with franchises if you read between the lines this is what is going on gylfi has been paying attention to the inns at efc and thought i want some of that he has handed in a transfer request cause he was given assurances when he signed extension that they would listen to serious offers for him. well its not serious offers they want it is the most money they can get despite whatever promises made to the player. the players agent has approached the club to say its a bit much all this and then the club accuse efc of tapping him up and refuse to talk to gylfi's agent and so the player stops traing and statement to the press is made saying gylfi isn't in the right frame of mind at this point these american owners no they have to sell they have broken the bond between the club and player but yet they continue with a very unrealistic valuation that is pulled out of thin air and when we met their first number they changed it and subsquently will not neg. until they're valuation is met this is not a neg. stance it is a ransom demand for a player who is not that good in the world game yeh he suits the prem his energy is always good but at this point there is better players and value out there and gylfi knows it that's why he is not in the right frame of mind, gylfi is paying the price of showing loyalty to a club owned by people who have no idea what's going on in s/ wales and don't understand or care the promises made between a manager and player in fact they probs don't care about swans football is a business after all . keep americans out of football, real football imo . ask the fans across the park see what they think.

6.) 15 Jul 2017 08:53:16
Good post floats. The American investors see the PL as a cash cow just like their own baseball and football franchises! Greed is the best word to describe them. We now know GS wants a piece of the blue revolution so we should wait until deadline day and offer even less than 40 mil (just like Spurs will offer 25M for RB) . Those greedy Yanks will rather pocket 35M for GS on deadline day than get nothing and end up with a player who thinks he's been badly treated by Swansea. Failing that we will get him for a more realist price in Jan window.

7.) 15 Jul 2017 10:06:00
He is, with out doubt, a good player, but his club are now well and truly taking the piss. Even in todays market, 30-35mill is all the money.
Now with this nonsense about tapping up, the time has come to tell them to do one, report it if you have proof, except there is none.
Keep the player, then, when you have been relegated, we might, if your lucky, come back and give you 20m, and you will be glad to take it.

8.) 15 Jul 2017 10:36:41
The only American owner I am happy to continue at his club is Kronkiar. The longer he stays at arsenal the more likely Usmanov jumps ship and joins up with his mate Moshiri.

COYB.

9.) 15 Jul 2017 16:18:48
Toffeeace: A few months I was listening to Talk sport and they were chatting about the Kroenkes. His personal wealth is in excess of $11 Billion and they then said his wife's personal wealth is estimated to be at least double that. Basically the point they were making is that its not about money, its a status toy and why would he ever give that up. they never need to sell. Usmanov is clearly a Arsenal fanatic and if he ever got hold of the club, he would fund them all the way. I think he will be a couple more years yet before he gives up. Hopefully throwing his hat into the EFC ring.

10.) 15 Jul 2017 21:06:27
Thanks Blue, good info mate.

05 Jul 2017 19:26:21
West Ham are fuming we are after their striker options, desperation will set in soon when they bid for our very own Niasse.

Bazwil212

1.) 05 Jul 2017 21:00:32
Well they got sam byram and ogbonna so pot kettle black arm chair fans anyway.

2.) 05 Jul 2017 22:06:58
Who's the striker?

{Ed025's Note - they are after giroud kingo..

3.) 05 Jul 2017 22:20:47
I thought they were after any striker whose scored a goal!

4.) 05 Jul 2017 23:06:27
You would have thought West ham signed Messi when they beat us to Payet, and like they say, the rest is history.

I as at Goodison last night and will add a few observations that I picked up that just does not show up in the hilights later and probs why some have difference of opinions on here.

Firstly Coleman, the guy never stopped running and made some great overlapping runs along with defending well, my joint man of the match along with Walcott, even without Walcott goals, he made some great runs and brought people into play, great signing.

Davies has all the talent in the world, Sadly again last night, he seems to be missing something and nowhere near the player he was last season, maybe it's time to give Beningame a run out there.

Once Everton scored, the confidence and touch play and movement was great, once Leicester scored, you could see sheer panic set in, mishit clearances, not looking to play a simple pass, absolute no composure.

Now I am not a great fan of Schnids or Williams, however once they both came on we seemed to have steadied the ship and not as much panic.

Finally I have touched on this a few times, Niasse is not as effective when he starts a game, never stopped harrying their defence but squandered two great chances, I would use Niasse from the bench.

Once Tuson gets going along with Walcott and Coleman will be great, need to balance this with Bolasie on the left and I Think we will be fine for the remainder of the season.

Bazwil212

1.) 01 Feb 2018 16:38:13
Really good read Baz.

The only thing I'd say about Davies is he is the squad for one game then out. You need a run of games plus he's still really, really, really, really young.

He made some great runs in forward positions and supported Coleman and Walcott well.

He's very much a number 8 but it'll take a few years to learn his trade in that position.

Baningami is a different type of midfielder. More a Snids/ Gana. Going forward they don't do the same as Tom and instead hold position and Cover the back four.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 16:38:14
I agree with all of that post Baz mate especially on Davis he needs a spell back with the under 23s to learn his trade, good post.

3.) 01 Feb 2018 16:48:24
Davies has a great engine and legs. He was closing down and harrying all the time. Same as Niasse. But Davies is like mentioned above. very very very young. Yes he does go missing a bit. but he is being given some game time and will only get better. Baningeme is also a great prospect. I would imagine both will develop into fine first team players.

4.) 01 Feb 2018 18:07:19
Have to agree with blue John regards Davies. He needs a run of games, we have chopped too many times.
Why change a winning team?
Plus although he wasn't brilliant, he was miles better than Schneiderlin has been.

5.) 01 Feb 2018 18:19:26
I agree with the harrying of players degsy. It was refreshing to see us defending from the front. I bet we had more tackles and won possession in their half last night than any other game this season. It makes a massive difference.

I can remember a Walcott chance and the one on one from Niasse in the first half to begin with.

More of the same for me!

6.) 01 Feb 2018 18:07:40
Hadn't Davies been injured recently?

I wasn't at the game but watched it. And like the last 10 home games, when something goes wrong the stadium freaks out and you can feel that sat at home. Must be very noticeable live.

I'm not sure if it's a chicken and egg situation but the atmosphere of most games has been bad. Won't be players make the atmosphere or the fans over reactions put the fear in the players?

Great result and certainly a much better performance than I was expecting. Think the Gooners are there for the taking Saturday.

29 Jan 2018 19:59:28
Ok I am climbing on my soapbox and putting my penny's worth in.

Take the £20 Million for Schnids, we either invest and bring someone in, or play Beningame, Davies or Rooney there.

If we are not going to draft a left back in, give Garbutt a run out there, I know Martina is playing out of position, other teams know this and bomb our left hand side.

I am not a big fan of Williams, however either him or Keane could be interesting if we play Garbutt as a recognised left back, and Coleman playing on the right, if those two full backs do their job then our Centre half's can focus on playing as a centre half, instead of covering both flanks as well as backup

I will leave judgement on Williams and Keane for now, but we need to ship out Martina and Schnids, we cannot carry on with those two in the team.

Bazwil212

1.) 29 Jan 2018 20:38:32
Good shout Baz mate.

2.) 29 Jan 2018 22:42:24
Sounds good to me Baz. We have to give Garbutt his chance. Not for one game though. He needs a run in the side to get used to level he's playing at and to his team mates.

This one chance and you're out is stupid. Plus how many have Snids and Martina had?! Totally contradictory.

21 Jan 2018 18:54:50
Newcastle looking to loan Sandro til the end of the season with Everton receiving a £2 Million loan fee, think that's great business, will give him game time in the premiership and a win win for Everton.

Bazwil212

1.) 21 Jan 2018 18:57:41
better than selling him mate.

2.) 21 Jan 2018 20:03:20
Agree give him time to settle, and we get to see just how good he is.

3.) 21 Jan 2018 20:14:25
Would they take Schneiderlin? I live close so could drive him.

4.) 21 Jan 2018 20:30:27
Smit I live in the south of France and I would fly over and take him mate😁.

5.) 21 Jan 2018 20:49:19
Do they want Martina and williams as well for free, Please.

20 Jan 2018 14:36:46
Sam has took a lot of flack, but he has gone with a decent attacking lineup today, dropped Rooney, has picked Vlasic and the two new guys, he has almost picked the team that fellow fans have been asking for, today will show if the fans were right, if not it will be Sam that gets the flack, you can be certain of that, regardless of how the players play.

Bazwil212

1.) 20 Jan 2018 14:49:20
Since when have fans wanted a Schneid, McCArthy defensive midfield? Schneid been awful every game n McCarthy nowhere near fit. Walcott and Vlasic play same side, so he expects one of them to go out of position to cover Martina? Sorry mate where uve got your the team the fans want is beyond me!

2.) 20 Jan 2018 14:51:01
Very true mate but hey Sams 1000th game today let's hope we get a good result.

3.) 20 Jan 2018 14:57:06
It is not a bad lineup and great to see Vlasic get a start and Sigurdsson in the middle although I am baffled at how Schneiderlein keeps getting a game.

Lets not get too excited about how attacking it is though. Only a few months ago many fans were complaining that playing 2 defensive midfielders at home against the average sides was too defensive.

It feels attacking compared to the ultra defensive lineups we have seen recently but I wouldn't stretch so far to say it is an attacking lineup. I guess how attacking it will be will depend on how forward thinking and effective with the ball McCarthy and Scneiderlein are.

Really hope we can get a good performance and 3 points today to get some positive feeling back about Allardyce and the way we are progressing. Fingers crossed.

4.) 20 Jan 2018 15:19:54
Could it be that Schneiderlin keeps getting picked as some sort of weird attempt to put him in the shop window in the desperate hope some club will take him this window? If that's the case, its the equivalent of a dead mouse that was in the window for about 15 years in a grotty old DIY shop I used to pass on my way to work.

5.) 20 Jan 2018 16:04:49
Howie, people were calling for Vlasic, were slating Rooney, he’s dropped Rooney. Put Sigs in the middle, has no choice but to play Martina for now, McCarthy needs game time, Vlasic can play on the left, the only guy in there is Schnids, other than that he has picked a team most of us would have gone along with.

10 Jan 2018 14:59:58
Oh the life of being an Evertonian, they say Everton is like a drug, never dabbled with it but who needs to when nothing on earth can put you on a high then low like Everton, even Saint Peter would be hard pushed to keep his patience with our club at times.

Feel for the younger generation, I've had my mix of highs, but the poor younger lot have had to put up with the Wimbledon and Coventry great escape, the Walker, Smith, Martinez, Koeman brigade, watched as we bought player after player last Summer, at last a new beginning, a venture through Europe, but as night always follows Day, we have the rug pulled from underneath us.

Fear not though, our time will come once again, when it does, the younger fan base we have, will not know what has hit them.

It may not come in my lifetime, but I've had my fix, we owe it to those poor buggers who have only seen the darker Days, stay patient fellow Blues, every dog has its Day.

Bazwil212

1.) 10 Jan 2018 15:45:23
I'd equate this season to a dark smack habit.

2.) 10 Jan 2018 15:52:31
Amazing take on being a blue Bazwil don't know where I sit in that I'm 41,but I know what you mean.

{Ed025's Note - i know exactly what he means lee..

3.) 10 Jan 2018 16:14:15
That’s a great post Baz. I’m pretty sure we will see success again mate although I’m not sure how young you are. But I saw the eighties

In fact I’ve got an eighties fancy dress party soon so I’m wearing my Hafnia 84 FA cup final replica shirt. But if it’s a bit tight it’ll be under my Adam Ant costume.

{Ed025's Note - just be sure not to wear your gary glitter one ace.. :)

4.) 10 Jan 2018 16:43:50
Oh Ed. You just made me sick in my mouth.

5.) 10 Jan 2018 18:38:57
I went my first game in I think the 74-75 season when we drew 0-0 to the eventual champions Derby County, was a fan before then from my earliest recollection 69, Gordon Lee got a lot of stick but we played some decent football, just lacked a quality goalkeeper, although trophyless in the seventies had some decent players, Latchford, King, Dobson, McKenzie and one of the finest wingers in Dave Thomas along with others, here’s a freebie thrown in, the 77 second replay league cup final at Old Trafford, two Everton players came out with the same number on their back, think it was number 2 with Neil Robinson and Darrocott wearing the number 2.

Again mixed bag in the eighties I was lucky my parents helped out with contributing towards some of the home and away games due to unbelievable unemployment in the region.

Saw the glory Days, the cup finals so I have been very lucky along with others, even saw 2 Derby wins in a row away to our neighbours, both times stood on the kop with a few thousand other Evertonians, Turned up at West Brom with a carful and few feet of snow, only to be told the match has been called of late seventies/ early eighties, was half way up a tree in Stanly Park for the Wimbledon final game due to no ticket, I have had many a great time, that’s why I really hope our next generation of fans get to see Everton succeed.

6.) 10 Jan 2018 18:50:31
Not sure how many have read the book scally, Sums up how it was back then, we were just normal football fans 6 of us hardly missing a match, who went for the love of Everton, unlike some of our fans who went for other reasons.

We went Villa Park in the car, last away game in 82, we had to make our way back to the car with no escort, soon got spotted and chased, we managed to get to a petrol station and hold them off til the police arrived, the last lad got hit in the jaw with a brick, it mentions a bit about a casualty in the booki, itwas his first and last game he travelled with us so unsure if he was part of the mentioned mob, thankfully we went many other games as fans and never got bothered again, thankfully now on top of crowd safety.

7.) 10 Jan 2018 18:16:52
Hahaha ed025. The dry humour over the past few days has been very good. Much better than moaning.

{Ed025's Note - its been really good joe..

8.) 10 Jan 2018 19:40:56
Not sure if it was Ed25 who was next to me and fell off the branch and in a heap on the grass in Stanley Park for the Wimbledon game, hence to say no pity from the fans below who raced for the vacant branch view, like a rat up a drain pipe.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think it was baz but i cant remember much that day mate as i was drinking the city dry..

9.) 10 Jan 2018 19:54:18
Gotta love Ed25 one of us and gives a good honest response, knows how we feel with sometimes letting our feelings and anguish getting the better of us.

Ed02 gives some straight talking feedback, I tend to call them good cop bad cop, all in jest of course.

10.) 10 Jan 2018 21:15:47
Love it Ed25, my mate lheaded back to the train station at 2 nil so missed the comeback.

From what I can try to even fathom out, he’s sacrificing this game to go all out with his strongest 11 next week to get a win against Palace, do-not agree with it with so many games to go, maybe if only 4 games left and we were playing a six pointer could then think ok fair enough.

If this was the case yesterday, then why not have given Garbutt a run out for game time.

It’s the time of year where Ed’s have to put on their tin hats and await the incoming barrage from us supporters, I can picture the Ed’s on the 2nd of Feb, glass of wine, smoking jacket, complete with a cigar or cig in a long cig holder pen, with a Wry smile on their faces, as the window closes for another term.

Job well done Ed’s.

P. s, be prepared to answer repeated questions over and over as sheer panic sets in from supporters.

Was just going to add a post on here about Cahill, we never really gave him a send off and I agree with the World Cup coming up, I would have loved his finale until the end of the season in an Everton shirt.

One of my all time fav players and wish him all the best at Millwall.
