I see Jags is going captain England's next game. Good luck to him. I met him after the west brom away game a couple of years ago. I waited by the players exit so my mates lad could get autographs, and jags was the only one who came out to meet the fans, signing program's and having photos took. A proper captain for "the people's club"

There's a good article on the BBC sport/football page at the moment on the lost team in Liverpool. There's a team called Liverpool Caledonians that played in the Victorian era that local historians are trying to trace. I think yakubu played for them! And yes, I know it's not Everton, but thought some of you might be interested in the local history. If your not too drunk before the game.
1.) Ha ha the yak played for them, that made me laugh Lee. Seriously though I did read the article about the lost team, was interesting. Saying that, the way this derby was built up through the week you would of been forgiven if you thought Everton was the lost team in Liverpool.

I've got a scrapbook somewhete ( probably the old girls loft) from around 83 to 85 that contains every newspaper article about Everton and Wales that I could find, and one of the articles is Harry redknapp saying Everton are the best team in Europe, etc, just before the ban. Happy days!

If we end up like Chelsea, then I would rather support a real team. You can then belittle every team in the prem, not just the bottom three. Didn't think that was the Everton way.

The man is just being respectful. If you like your managers to be that arrogant, then I suggest you support chelski. There's enough talk on here about us being the peoples club, but you want our manager to belittle another prem club?

Totally agree with stewillow. Can't honestly see us being relegated, so therefore RM will still be our manager next season. Bill won't sack him, probably hoping for better things next season. Remember moyes second season? He didn't press the panic button then, so what makes people think he'll do it now? I've read on here some people wanting de mateo? Do these people watch football? Laudrup? One good season at Swansea, then fall apart the next. Sound familiar? I predict a convincing win tomorrow. I've seen it in the tea leaves.
