We all know how light we are in midfield. If allan went and doucoure got injured as we'd be proper ****ed. We can't afford to lose anyone from our starting 11 with a replacement of equal quality.

Again with the not 1 player would get into the top sides business.

I think we have a couple they just happen to be injured. Do me a favour and go and have a look at the teams above us in the league who aren't in the big 4 (cos that's what iit is again now) and tell me which of their players would get into those clubs. I can think of at most 1 or 2 per team, and I'm including West Ham who are 3rd in that crop. My list below.

West Ham - 1, maybe 2
Arsenal - 0
Brighton - 1
Wolves - 0
Spurs - 2
Palace - 0.

Hi Ed, do you know if we're going to pick up Enner Valencias option? Not the greatest of players but did well whenever he was called upon and worked hard, would like to see him remain as a back-up/ sub player.

Reflecting on last week, I think he was the only player who really put in an effort last week. He was run over many times, picked himself up, and got back into the play.

He would be a great squad player, and I like his attitude, but 12 million is a bit much. Perhaps we can buy him for 1/ 2 that to bolster the squad (no Niasse jokes today) .

I really thinking he worked hard to impress RK. I hope Valencia finds a place in the PL and has great success against the Reds.

Lest be honest. Valencia is a trier. But he is not the caliber that will move us on. If we want to make the top 4 we need better. I'm not having a go at the lad but he is not that level. So if we want top four, we need players that are out of West Ham's reach not out of their starting 11.

I think when RK said he wanted productivity in the final third he meant goals and assists. Although I thought Valencia was good at pressing, this was because he was introduced as sub and had the energy. Need more than that. Need craft and skill to break down these teams when we go behind, which was a main factor in our poor away form.

That Football Whispers site sees us linked with Juan Mata, and make us 5/ 2 favourites to sign him surely not. Would love him as think he's a quality player is there any substance to this Ed.

Don’t see what anyone sees in Onana, passing is shocking, lucky escape with the disallowed goal but he stopped in the middle of the pitch too busy looking at the referee instead of playing to the whistle.

Last time I checked Lukaku's twitter he had Belgian international of Everton and Chelsea as his info, now he just has Belgian international of Everton Football Club with no mention of Chelsea, could this mean anything ed?
