Fantastic build up play for the Palace goal. I remember when we could play like that. These days we have difficulty putting two passes together. Can someone remind me when was the last time that we scored a goal like that?

Well a win is a win but we had 37% possession and 200 accurate passes verses Burnley's 403.
Now I know Ed025 we have had this discussion before but at home verses a team that are next to bottom and have only won four games all season!
If anything these statistics just about sums up our tactics under this Manager. We may have to put up with him because of our financial situation, but longer term, get rid ASAP.

{Ed025's Note - you are preaching to the converted Mike mate..

Being retired and there being a fair amount of games on TV this week I have watched a lot of football. What is obvious to me is that players (even on teams lower down the table) seem to have a lot more energy than most of the Everton team. Now I can understand players having more talent and players having more speed but why do Everton players seem more lethargic than most? Do we have fitness coaches? Maybe it's because they are brain-dead or just disinterested in putting in the effort required.

I think they have been ran into the floor in training. It's not like they've had chance to sit a game or 2 out as we have no squad.

2.) 05 Apr 2024 08:58:34
Haven’t they just had a three week break?

3.) 05 Apr 2024 17:44:46
3 weeks of getting ran into the floor in Portugal probably.

4.) 05 Apr 2024 18:11:02
I am 3 weeks recover after major surgery (8 hrs I am told) discharged after 5 days with less inside than I started with LOL. Today my Grandaughter took me for a 3 mile walk. The point I make is these lads are professional athletes, they have nutritional experts, monitors and scientific approached training programs. I am a 74 year old man, my motivation is family. This lot lack motivation, you don't get that by slapping a lad round the back of the head or 'not interested in the journey' 'we need to change the story'. The bloke is a waffler.

DFS
Spot on! They r mediocre players at a mediocre club ran less than mediocre so r just taking their millions and going through motions!
We all give a Sh1T if we go down as we r loyal for life! These guys kiss shirt one minute then move on when better offer comes along ( ie Onana will ) but does a loss spoil their week like it does ours I doubt it!
Apart from Seamus (maybe Beto who I feel cares but knows he’s giving his all but isn’t quite good enough for PL and us) can u name another player blues who really goes care?

No wonder we are in such a financial mess. According to reports we are paying 92% of revenue on wages and as an example we paid DBB 2.5 million pounds in compensation. No good going on about who is to blame, just a total shambles and we will be lucky to avoid administration and relegation. At least we are rid of most of those who have taken us into this mess apart from Moshiri and the sooner he goes the better although 777 does not look like an improvement. If one of the stands in the new stadium is named after "Mr Boys Pen" I will throw up.

BlueMike

{Ed025's Note - its beyond belief Mike, i have given up with trying to make sense of it all now mate, whatever happens happens and they dont give a toss about us so why should we even care...but we do unfortunately..

1.) 01 Apr 2024 23:08:34
I paid to have a stone laid outside the new stadium. Wonder if I can get the inscription changed to EFC RIP.

2.) 02 Apr 2024 07:34:18
Blue Mike one of the Eds warned us for months if not years about this and even what is now coming. All got a bit heated but calmed down now. Huge mistake bringing Moshri in, we now know. At the time though all or most of us had the yellow brick road on SatNav. Everton I hope have convinced the commission that they are genuine in trying to grasp the wages nettle. Other than that we have to accept whatever comes our way. A reset is what's needed. COYB.

3.) 02 Apr 2024 09:01:22
The worry I have DFS is how low do we have to go to reset? We could end up in the ether for over a decade if it all goes Pete Tong and we. Devine another Portsmouth or Sunderland.

Football - the only job we’re your rewarded for failure.

I played golf this morning so haven't watched the game and to be perfectly honest after seeing the comments I don't want to watch the replay. Those calling for Dyche to go can forget it, we can't afford to pay him off and then pay another manager. Additionally who would want to manage this lot? Even if we wanted to fire him who is going to make the decision. Moshiri has washed his hands of the responsibility and 777 doesn't own the club yet, if ever. We are stuck with SD I am afraid.
The only way we will stay up is for three other teams to have a lower points tally at the end of the season and that will also depend on any further points deduction. Forget about this team or manager having any effect on the outcome.

Ditto Mike. I can’t watch this crap anymore, nothing changes. Just saw the goals, you can see Tarks telling Godfrey to tuck in and pick Solanke up. Godfrey doesn’t move, though Tarks was marking nobody so could easily have stayed with Solanke. Meanwhile Godfrey Pickford is super glued to his goal line?
Second goal was ridiculous. They didn’t have a player anywhere near it, and we still managed to balls it up.
We are playing like a Championship team because we have a Championship manager. Down we go.

You guys were probably not alive the last time we were relegated, I was. I was eleven and it was devastating. I do care Ed025 and put the blame for our demise fully on Blue Bill. He brought in Moshiri and he stood back and allowed him to ruin this club. I never bought on to the "Boys Pen" rubbish, I went in the boys pen once and it was like being in a cage, anyone in their right mind would go in only once. Kenwright sold out to Moshiri because he allowed Bill to remain as Chairman. He must have known that Moshiri was a figurehead for Usmanov. Now we can look forward to the 777 lot, probably being a tenant at our new stadium and owing a fortune at high interest. How can anyone with any business acumen allow us to get to this position?

Another premier club? We better start winning more points than the ones taken from us. I hope that it is true. If we can survive until the new stadium is built then the commercial revenue should be increased substantially, not only by the increased attendance but also by the other activities.

Sorry Ed025 but we have to face the facts, we are in deep doo-doo! I wish that I could see the bright side like GB but at the moment the light at the end of the tunnel has gone out.

BlueMike

{Ed025's Note - sorry Mike i was being pedantic there mate, i think you are right, no i know you are right, im so disappointed with this club and what it has become that i sometimes mask that with an attempted bit of humour....it seems that im not very good at it.. :)

This is a huge problem that will not go away. We will be forced to sell our best players at discounted prices since all other teams know that we have to sell. If we don't get our finances in order next year will see further points deducted.

BlueMike

{Ed025's Note - well thats really cheered me up Mike...cheers mate.. :)

Well we could have been in the Kings Dock years ago while not owning it outright but evidently Kenwright said no.

Well point away at Newcastle is a good one. Still losing the ball too often and very little movement in mid-field. Gomes is our only talented player and should be in the starting eleven.

I hope you are correct GB. Just remind me when was the last time we scored twice and didn't let one in. Also the last time we won two on the row and for that matter the last time we actually won one? Unfortunately at my age the memory starts to go!

It's a bit like one of our politicians over here Ed001. He has a house which would sell for about 25M dollars but is valued at 200M in his reported net worth. Everton are in a financial mess and Moshiri neither has the resources nor the inclination if he did to bail us out, he wants to sell and get as far away from the mess as he can.

BlueMike

{Ed001's Note - let's just hope that someone does bail Everton out soon.}
