Fulham interested in Harrison.
Interesting.
29 Jan 2025 22:37:27
Mykolenko has made 95 PL appearances for us, across 3/ 3.5 seasons. In that time he has averaged 28 passes per match. Has attempted an astounding 4 through balls. He has made a total of 0 assists.
Frightening.
1.) 29 Jan 2025 22:58:27
Definitely a position where we can improve moving forward. Must be getting some assists from our full backs. Would really like to see Leif Davis come in the summer.
2.) 29 Jan 2025 23:26:16
Better than one clean sheet in 4 when he plays - he is 7th best for clean sheets in league this season.
If he’s told to defend by Dyche a long with everyone else then I wouldn’t expect many assists.
I don’t think he’s a great player but any attacking play was beaten out of him by Dyche and his stats show his defending is reasonable.
3.) 29 Jan 2025 23:30:12
Absolutely JB. 0 since he has been with us is pathetic.
Not seen enough of him to comment mate but I believe he is quite the opposite to Myko.
4.) 30 Jan 2025 06:51:37
0 assists in 95 from left back is not acceptable. Regardless of tactics, his crossing is poor.
5.) 30 Jan 2025 08:21:12
Does an assist count as someone scoring on the end of it, could it be the strikers don't finish of his passes?
6.) 30 Jan 2025 08:25:32
Again, spot on JB. Dyche didn't beat any attacking play out of him as he never had any in the first place. Ashley Young has 3 assists this season alone and he isn't exactly attacking.
His defending isn't even that good. Whilst he may be reasonable in 1v1 situations, it is his consistent lack of positional awareness that is insufferable, getting caught out of position at the back post and losing track of his man.
His shocking is absolutely woeful. Most of the time he hits it past everybody and out for a corner or throw. The occasional time he doesn't do that, it never beats the 1st man.
Nothing against the lad as he seems to apply himself and care but as a footballer he is absolutely shocking.
7.) 30 Jan 2025 09:21:48
Think we have far more urgent priorities than left back.
8.) 30 Jan 2025 10:16:12
Depends how you look at it, one off the best defences for clean sheets in Europe, like some one said if you don't have a striker putting the ball in the net that won't help his assist, he's a defender not a winger that's for sure.
9.) 30 Jan 2025 10:51:30
I like his commitment, he works his socks off. Maybe some one to one time with Baines could help him improve that side of his game.
10.) 30 Jan 2025 11:07:09
Might not be our number one priority, but it's not far off for me.
11.) 30 Jan 2025 11:15:32
I haven't said that this needs addressing in this window and should be prioritised over other positions, I was merely pointing out what an abysmal record he has.
I don't agree pasty. There are many more players that come into the equation with regards to our defensive record, most notably Mr Pickford. However, recording assists. especially as a modern day fullback is essential. You are right, there is an element of having a decent finisher on the end of the ammunition but across 3 seasons to have not even recorded a single assist is shocking. Like I said, Young has the same strikers to aim for and he has managed 3 this season alone. It is inexcusable.
For some reference, Nathan Collins is a CB and he has 5 to his name. West Ham are hardly blessed with strikers and AWB has 2.
12.) 30 Jan 2025 13:45:01
JB having a blinder today.
I agree that it isn’t far off. It would be even higher if we had avoided recent injuries. Both of our defensive flanks need upgrading. This is now one of the most integral positions on the pitch in the modern game and ours are absolutely shocking.
Bobby, whilst I think there are some outliers in the history of the game, if you are 25 and a professional footballer, you don’t suddenly learn how to cross or attack. Just my opinion.
You are right on his attitude though which is why I can never call the lad out on a personal level but as a player, I think he is way short of what we need mate.
13.) 30 Jan 2025 14:03:21
Suprise surprise BN.
14.) 30 Jan 2025 15:16:39
I would never knock his attitude, but to improve, we need to look at where we're weakest first. If every player was fit and well, I'd say full backs is where we're weakest and have been for some time now.
Of course injuries play into this. I'm still feeling fairly positive that we'll sign players - no reason to assume otherwise.
15.) 30 Jan 2025 16:32:29
Ok but the reality is we need a striker. That has to be the priority right now. The rest can be sorted in the summer.
Saying that though if we got the Chelsea lad to replace Dacoure I would be very happy.
16.) 30 Jan 2025 21:58:39
BN - I’m not expecting him to turn into Maldini but he can still improve in some areas, 25 is still young.
28 Jan 2025 09:49:42
"Everton offered Besiktas winger Semih Kilicsoy"
I hope this fella replicates one of our winter window Turkey transfers more than the another.
R. I. P Super Kev!
27 Jan 2025 20:50:06
Ed's do you know if the Preciado talk is concrete. Have seen more and more articles about it. Would love to get this one over the line.
{Ed001's Note - I am sorry I don't know.}
1.) 28 Jan 2025 09:24:28
No problem, thank you regardless.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate, sorry I can't be more help.}
2.) 28 Jan 2025 12:30:38
Can't have you fingers in all the pies hey Ed. Cheers again mate.
{Ed001's Note - with me dad doing the cooking here today, there is probably a few of his fingers in the pie. He is so old and clumsy now. He went absolutely flying over the end of one of those travelator things yesterday because he was not looking.}
26 Jan 2025 11:23:41
No clue who this Danilo Barbosa is but apparently he is available for 2m. Just had quick look at the lad and he looks mustard hahah. Niasse all over again.
1.) 26 Jan 2025 11:37:32
See we are linked with Ángelo Preciado again. Would love us to get this lad. South American steel and flair. Sh** off a shovel, great feet, great passing and can strike a ball.
As well as O'Brien has done for us at RB of late, this lad would be a huge upgrade.
2.) 26 Jan 2025 11:47:47
Yeah was reading that it looked like we have put a bid in for him, be a good signing for us mate.
3.) 26 Jan 2025 12:14:51
He has already played against the Reds, City and Galatasaray etc GB so at least we know he is cut out for it.
4.) 26 Jan 2025 15:24:24
He’s had a good amount of caps for Ecuador so hopefully wouldn’t be any issues with a work permit ??.
5.) 26 Jan 2025 15:43:16
Spot on ST. Good thing that he can play anywhere up the right side. Has the speed and feet to play both comfortably. Would be a really smart piece of business if we are truly interested.
6.) 26 Jan 2025 17:42:49
Isn’t he out with a knee injury?
7.) 26 Jan 2025 18:14:09
He has been out since November but is due back any day now. Meniscus I believe, so nothing to worrying.
Out of contract in summer so would be available at a good price and at the age of 26 would be a shrewd piece of business.
8.) 26 Jan 2025 18:35:51
Hopefully we get a couple in over the next week, the squad was already in dire need of strengthening without the injuries yesterday.
BN, we've already got the new Niasse, albeit one that's probably worse, in you know who! ?.
9.) 26 Jan 2025 19:52:00
Don't know who you are talking about BP mate hahah.
10.) 26 Jan 2025 20:37:39
BN, ?? love it mate ??.
11.) 26 Jan 2025 22:40:44
Don’t think Capt Jack would be keen on Barbosa.

Next job is to get as many points on the table as we can, to make us as attractive a club as we can be for potential new signings.
No good saying we will recruit quality in the summer as no player of real quality will want to join a club that has finished 11th or lower in the league. Just a dose of reality.
1.) 04 Feb 2025 15:21:42
Players will go anywhere if you pay them enough. It's all about the money. We need to focus on getting younger players in, Fellows would have been a good example if we had got him, or if we were even in for him.
03 Feb 2025 21:56:51
Whilst I am not particularly downbeat about not getting anyone in, I do think that whole over-priced in January shout is a cop out.
There are still plenty of reasonable deals to be had - KWP, Preciado, loan deals.
Disappointing to only get one but I think we have more than enough to get through to the end of the season.
As long as the "summer rebuild" actually happens and we get some astute business done, it is what it is.
1.) 03 Feb 2025 22:42:38
Got to say I'm really disappointed with this window. Moyes stated he wanted a few players in.
Though we needed 2 to 3 players in. Gutted.
2.) 03 Feb 2025 23:26:49
Deal sheet in for Alcaraz. Must admit even though Thelwell did sort out our psr issues, he does seem to make a dogs dinner out of transfers.
3.) 04 Feb 2025 01:55:42
Moyes and The Freidkin Group know what they're doing. Even with Beto being the only fit senior striker I think that we'll keep climbing.
Different prospect in the summer and expect some big signings as we prepare for a new era.
IMWT NSNO UTFT.
4.) 04 Feb 2025 07:34:45
Exactly WT.
Wasn't expecting too much to happen, would been nice for fans get couple in, the wins have helped and given us a chance not to panic buy, we ain't going down and couple wins should guarantee it.
Summer was always the turning point for our club, could see a couple of marquee signings, wouldn't that be great ???.
03 Feb 2025 19:05:26
Was hoping that we would try a move for Gomes at Lille as he is available on a free in the summer.
Some player he is. I imagine a CL team will snap him up for no fee in the summer.
02 Feb 2025 15:08:28
TFG should use their American connections and look to make a move for Gabriel Pec to strengthen the right flank for us.
23 yr old winger who can provide and score goals. Don't imagine he would cost an arm and a leg.
1.) 02 Feb 2025 17:55:23
If he does cost an arm and a leg maybe we can do a deal for both Harrisons legs as they do bugger all.
2.) 02 Feb 2025 18:24:19
??? smit.
3.) 02 Feb 2025 21:07:26
Hahah love it Smit.
02 Feb 2025 12:52:56
Adrien Truffert isn't too dissimilar to Myko in his defensive work. Shepherds well and does well in his exchanges. He is however much better in the air and more aggressive in winning the ball back.
Going forward he would offer much more though. He is more comfortable in possession, looks to play forward more and his delivery is night and day.
Loan with obligation being explored. Do your thing Davey.
1.) 02 Feb 2025 22:13:37
Never heard of him. But that might be a good thing.
04 Feb 2025 12:01:46
Aye. Shame really mate, I think he could do a job for us to see the season out.
04 Feb 2025 11:08:25
He is going back to Fulham mate.
03 Feb 2025 13:33:56
Hahah love it Mocker.
03 Feb 2025 13:33:20
Getting Nuamah instead of Cherki would be like getting Nyarko instead of Arteta.
03 Feb 2025 09:29:26
Is that your opinion Elivs or are you quoting some previous journo articles?
The lad is nothing like Bellingham imo. Bellingham is silky and this lad is anything but.
He has his strengths of course but he plays nothing like Bellingham.
06 Feb 2025 13:03:14
Whilst I understand what every single person has said on this thread, I think the lad starts or challenges for any team in the PL. That may be down to that position not exactly being blessed with a wealth of top class players currently but ability wise he is as good as Trossard/ Martinelli, Gakpo/ Diaz, Doku/ Grealish, Sancho/ Neto for me.
I don't get carried away by players but the most impressive thing about Ndiaye for me is his composure with the ball. Obviously there will be occasions where the wrong decision is made, as is the case with anybody playing in the attacking positions but when he is in the middle third or close to, his ability to retain possession and pick out the right pass, little subtle manipulations of the ball or his body shape is top quality.
I think Ed is absolutely spot on with regards to his end product. Although we have seen some moments of brilliance e. g. Ipswich, City and Spurs, there are occasions where he is wasteful. I imagine this is something that he can improve as he is only 24 and at least he has the technical ability to execute different types of finishes, it is just a case of being more consistent and making it the norm.
I don't agree with the call on his defending though. His defensive numbers are through the roof for a wide player and his energy and commitment to work back for the team is refreshing and infectious.
This lad is only going to get better with age and also when the players around him increase in quality. This is his 1st season in top flight football and he is more than comfortable.
As someone rightly said, he managed to shine playing for one of the most negative managers that has ever lived and a poor Everton side. We have already seen him take another step up under Moyes. I think if you put him in the likes of City, Liverpool or Arsenal you'd see 5x the player.
Looking forward to seeing Trent try to deal with him soon.
04 Feb 2025 15:00:39
He did Tommo and Carlisle.
04 Feb 2025 15:00:04
Personally think he will be used in the attacking role Dms. He is a great ball carrier but I feel that Gana may be left a bit exposed if he goes wandering. He is an aggressive presser and can hit the occasional ping. Best suited to further forward for me mate. The lad has played everywhere though, even in defensive positions. Who knows what Moyes has up his sleeve.
04 Feb 2025 08:38:04
Isn't that because we don't really have any though hahah.
JB not been anywhere near as good this year, I think mainly due to gravel mouth. JP is always top level but clubs don't seem to go after him. Gana is nearly retiring. Jimmy has been out all season and that leaves Ndiaye, who has only been showing it in the PL for a short while, if he carries on in the same form until the end of the season, I imagine big clubs will come sniffing for him.
02 Feb 2025 23:32:48
Obligations to buy do not count as loans.
