BBC Sport suggesting we are looking at Tyrese Campbell from Stoke. 23 years old with potential, so i'm guessing we won't even entertain the idea.

BlueOnion

1.) 29 Apr 2023 14:48:36
Did we not have him on trial as a kid?

2.) 29 Apr 2023 15:18:49
Not sure but i think he had a spell at man city.

3.) 30 Apr 2023 12:24:28
6 goals and 6 assists this season. Wouldn't it be better to go for Coventry City striker? We always spend big on players who don't get double figures in any season of their career. If we stay up it'll just be same old crap. No goal threat and a season of disappointment. We will bring in Campbell, rely fully on DCL, throw Maupay on when we need a goal, and say how well Simms and Cannon are doing out on loan ?.

4.) 30 Apr 2023 18:35:03
Campbell has done worse than cannon who has played half a season less! Typical Everton to sign a forward with a poor output. Simms and cannon both better and have better goal records. Whoever is in charge of our scouting department needs his p45 asap!

5.) 30 Apr 2023 20:44:01
This is a rumour on the bbc gossip page, highly unlikely it’s true.

Does anyone honestly believe we’re looking at players for next season when we don’t know which league we’ll be in? I don’t.

6.) 01 May 2023 09:45:34
Absolutely correct. We won't be doing a thing until we know the league points deduction, transfer ban length and possible new owner and board and then it's likely also the new owners will want their own management team. Everything is up in the air like never before.

I see Branthwaite is linked to the other lot. Is this rubbish or could it happen.

BlueOnion

{Ed002's Note - Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) Loan going well at PSV who will look to making the move permanent. Roma provide an option whilst Mr Mourinho is there, but that will likely leave if he does. Manchester United have sent scouts. I am not certain of any Liverpool interest but when asked, the player said he would consider it.}

1.) 09 Feb 2023 15:20:34
Think Dyche will bring him back in the summer and would hope he will be given a chance, should get more game time once mina, holgate, keane and possibly coady leave. Think he got 2 1/ 2 years left on contract.

2.) 09 Feb 2023 19:29:22
Would try and keep Coady but ship the rest out. Tarks, Coady, Godfrey and Branthwaite as the CB’s.

3.) 09 Feb 2023 19:48:24
His natural progression would be to come back and play for his parent club for a year or two.
Thats if he wants a solid career in the prem.
Pointless joining Liverpool when they are a club on their way down.
We should wait for tod Boely to bid 230million for him, then sell.

4.) 10 Feb 2023 13:09:38
I expect the clear out to continue in July, but I hope, and think, that Branthwaite will stay. Even if Coady and Tarkowski remain as first choice pair, we still want two quality back ups. Mina and Keane should go a free up big wages.

5.) 14 Feb 2023 19:55:25
If he gets offers to start elsewhere I doubt he'll want to come and sit in our reserves/ bench and play a handful of games. If he wants to go we can sell for a profit. I know it's not great to sell the youngsters, but, if he is surplus to requirements, it's the model we need to follow to become a profitable club and reinvest.

31 Jan 2023 20:45:37
Nicolo Zaniolo is a new name mentioned. Anyone know about him?

BlueOnion

1.) 31 Jan 2023 21:28:00
Turned us down as well apparently, along with Elantra by the looks of it. If Dyche can keep us up with this shower of a squad we can start getting excited about the Dyche Dock Stadium.

30 Jan 2023 07:10:39
Is it true someone from Everton went to watch Viktor Gyokeres this weekend?
Apparently a 15m bid is being tabled. I like the sound of this one.

BlueOnion

1.) 30 Jan 2023 07:32:22
Apparently so, he set up both goals so likely impressed.

2.) 30 Jan 2023 08:42:51
They want upwards of £20 mill. Not saying we offer £20 mill up straight off. What I am daying us BK, stay the fook out of it.

3.) 30 Jan 2023 10:27:59
Hopefully we get him or someone, Diaz, at Blackburn if stories were true in the last window, we offered 15 million, they wanted 20 and we bought Maupey, IF its true, hopefully lessons were learned!

4.) 30 Jan 2023 11:01:53
Diaz has signed a pre contract with Villareal from what I understand.

5.) 30 Jan 2023 11:19:55
Gyokeres is a fantastic striker from what I've seen of him. Him over Diaz any day of the week. Can he make that step up? Remains to be seen. But at Coventry he is full of work. Running with ball, taking players on, getting into goalscoring positions, and a big strong ubit. Not sure on his heading ability but the lad can score. Go in with a bid +player exchange.

6.) 30 Jan 2023 11:48:18
Yeh he did, but last window we apparently tried to get him, but fell short, if reports were true!

7.) 30 Jan 2023 12:40:05
Reported that Moshri wants a loan deal this window, using the Gordon cash on stadium financing.

8.) 30 Jan 2023 12:42:04
Just get him in. Play him and Dom up top, and then at least we would have someone to occupy the other teams defence. As it is opposing teams could play two at the back for what threat we offer right now.

28 Jan 2023 10:08:49
Ziyech's name has been doing the rounds for a few weeks now. Could this be our January signing?
Personally I think he has a lot to offer and improves our team/ squad a fair bit, especially with AG gone.
Reckon this happens before d-day Eds?

BlueOnion

{Ed025's Note - i dont know if we are an attractive proposition for him BO, but he would certainly improve us mate..

1.) 28 Jan 2023 11:33:45
Im not sure he'd come either but that rumour doesn't seem to be going away. Maybe his place in the team isn't as secure with Chelseas new signings?
Got my fingers crossed anyway. I think the fans would love watching him for us.

2.) 28 Jan 2023 11:58:44
Bringing back Rondon would improve us right now ?.

3.) 28 Jan 2023 16:02:45
I looked at his goals scored for Chelsea and Gordon has more in less games which was surprising.

I can't see Forest, Leeds or Leicester winning any of their remaining games.

BlueOnion

1.) 02 May 2023 11:07:48
I got Forrest beating Southampton at home and I believe Leicester could get something away to Fulham next Monday. These two teams are the teams showing fight. Leeds may get some sort of manager bounce.
We are in deep deep trouble. SD literally bottled it last night, towards the end of the match I think we can all agree that it was crying out for some extra pace. I was shocked he didn’t try and win the game. Gutted.

2.) 02 May 2023 12:06:19
Burnley fans did say this is what he does, he doesn’t like making subs or changing anything mid game no matter how it’s going.

3.) 02 May 2023 13:40:08
It looked like he didn't want to risk going for the win in case we conceded. I think they were there for the taking last night. Onana and Gray on in the last 25 and we have a great chance to snatch it. Ill take a point but if he had been a bit braver we'd be breathing a little easier this morning.

4.) 02 May 2023 14:13:52
Gray deserves much more playing time in my opinion. Fireman Sam to be announced as new Leeds manager!

5.) 02 May 2023 16:51:53
Sam to keep Everton up!

02 May 2023 08:33:59
Draw was a fair result. They could've won, we could've won. Both keepers played a big part. Two struggling teams.
I think the majority are a bit baffled as to why we didn't bring on fresh legs towards the end. But the determination shown by the team is a good sign. If we keep that up in the remaining games then we stand a chance. We just lack quality at times.
DCL looks sharp and its a pity he'come back so late in the season because i think he'll be at his best in a few more games. I love 7pts out if the 4 games but i think we'll get 5pts.
Im hating the situation but the team showed fight lastnight and that gives me hope. COYB.

BlueOnion

1.) 02 May 2023 09:43:53
Totally agree about DCL. Always takes a few games for a player to get their sharpness back in games. If SD was brought in before the World Cup I think we would be safe. Be relegated by now if FL was still here. The few players back is a big help. Hope Patt steps up to the plate now.

5 or even less just may be enough BlueOnion. I kinda give up recently as points are obviously hard to come by. Then someone pointed out Leeds remaining fixtures. Can't see them picking many points either, if any at all! For me can't see Southampton or Leeds getting out of it. Kinda looks like between us and Forrest.

West Ham may even be dragged back into it yet. They have a safety cushion at the moment but if Forrest or Everton pick up the same points that West Ham have they could be deep in trouble. Can't see them picking up too many points if any from their remaining fixtures.

We have games where we can pick up points. A lot of things are working in our favour. Totally our own fault if we get relegated and fully deserve to.

2.) 02 May 2023 11:03:31
Indeed. We have the more favourable run in. If we show the fight we did last night, but also play with a bit more concentration, then we should pick up points Vs wolves and b'mouth. I just don't see leeds, leicester or forest winning another game this season. I feel West Ham will be stay up, though they'll have to work hard to do so. Give Forest credit, they've shown that they can fight and score goals but they just can't stop conceding.
Its both exciting and terrifying. But one thing is for sure, stay up or go down, we need much better recruitment at the club or this will just happen agskn next year.

3.) 02 May 2023 12:05:26
I agree with NBTB and reiterate the key points, also Sean Dyche was brought in when perhaps the critical damage had been done to the all important team spirit which had been battered by then, due to not only losing matches but losing them without looking competitive.
Dyche is still picking up the pieces here and to pile all the blame on him right now is crazy IMO.

4.) 02 May 2023 14:12:08
Absolutely Glory Days. FL was beginning to depress me and I never even met him. SD always had a mammoth task on his hands.

Im confident we beat Leicester. Newcastle are too good for most teams in that league. We gave it a go from the first whistle. We do that against leicester and grab an early goal, we can keep them out .
The Forest game today has given us a bit of a lifeline and possibly/ hopefully a bit of a boost.

BlueOnion

1.) 30 Apr 2023 08:33:02
God I hope so, can’t say I’m that confident.

2.) 30 Apr 2023 09:48:19
I don’t have the same confidence that we can get a win here. DCL will have a couple of games under his belt now so we need to see some service to him, he does look our only likely scorer. Our midfield just aren’t on it as far as service and I can see Madison killing us. We may be surprised where our points come from, wolves, Brighton and Bournemouth look more likely to me, but how many points will it be, 3, 6, 7, or 9. I believe 7 is needed as 6 will see us down on good and that would really be rubbing salt into the wound.

3.) 30 Apr 2023 12:37:21
I hope and pray that I’m wrong, but I just don’t see us getting anything from our last 5 games.

I have no confidence in Sean Dyche’s team selection and think we’re a defensive car crash waiting to happen with Michael Keane in the side. He will select him and Godfrey time and time again and we’ll suffer defensively every single game.

4.) 30 Apr 2023 15:07:34
Leicester are pretty much a one man team. Keep Maddison quiet and we up our chances. Looks like b'mouth are safe so playing them might not be the fight we thought it would be. I expected more from Wolves yesterday and hope that's the start of a bad run for them.
We aren't done yet.

28 Apr 2023 09:11:43
Just to pour fuel on the fire, is anyone else getting tired of Pickford constantly giving possession away? Once the ball is in his hands, and he's had his customary whinge, he then proceeds to kick it as hard as he can only for the other keeper to just catch it after a bounce or two. I lost count how many times he done it last night.
I know we don't play out from the back well, but giving the ball to the opposition that often is surely a worse choice?

BlueOnion

1.) 28 Apr 2023 09:41:30
Now Pickford is getting blame, fantastic, yet no one ever wants to criticise Onana, who has been awful all season except for that one game against Arsenal.

Our outfield players are all terrible, I don’t trust any of them in possession. Pickford has done more than enough over the past 2 and a half seasons for me to not care what he does with the ball so long as he stops it going in our net, something he’s done constantly but is let down by our lamppost defenders who couldn’t tackle their way out of a paper bag.

2.) 28 Apr 2023 09:55:00
My biggest bugbear with him is his constantly wanting to punch the ball away - just try and catch it!

The amount of times he punches it when it looks a simple catch are ridiculous, also no control over where the ball goes when he punches it as shown with the first goal last night!

He makes some world class saves and has probably kept us in the relegation fight - however until he stops the punching will not be a world class keeper.

3.) 28 Apr 2023 13:01:19
Swan i'm not having a go at his saving skills. Onana was poor at times too. Bit pickfords constant hoofing is not helping anyone.

4.) 28 Apr 2023 14:02:55
Pickford isn't the problem if anything he keeps us in games.

5.) 28 Apr 2023 14:32:55
Pickford is a top class keeper, but I must say his distribution now is awful compared to his first couple of seasons. Those days he could clear it onto the proverbial sixpence. That said, we would have gone down last season and already gone this without him.

6.) 28 Apr 2023 16:18:49
He's doing a great job saving, no doubt there. But if you can, just look how many times he just launches it hopefully. Not saying he's the problem at all but with those kicks he's not helping.
Iwobis final passes/ crosses.
Myko out of position.
Godfrey just watching people pass him.
And so on. They all could do better.

7.) 28 Apr 2023 17:09:52
pickford was crap when we bought him and i have not seen anything since to change my opinion can't even get his angles right let alone catch a ball.

8.) 28 Apr 2023 21:00:48
Hes one of the best shot stoppers around. And he may have been instructed to fire the ball up everytime, but its not working.

Agreed. He ticks all the boxes, but will he come here? Surely other clubs have an interest and Everton look a mess at the moment. Both on and off the pitch.
Fingers crossed though, I could see him doing very well in an Everton shirt.
