Hi Ed just heard bid imminent for Viktor Gyökeres, and chance of Lucas Digne on loan for next season.

Blueboy2410

{Ed002's Note - Sadly VG will have a much better option, we’ll see. I don’t see Allan option for Digne.}

1.) 19 Jun 2023 21:45:06
Is he off to Portugal Ed or West Ham maybe?

2.) 19 Jun 2023 21:45:06
Is he off to Portugal Ed or West Ham maybe?

{Ed002's Note - He has a good offer on the table from Sporting and there is a lot of other interest.}

3.) 20 Jun 2023 15:08:31
Cheers Ed. Real shame if he goes elsewhere as he’s a good prospect I think. Good luck to the lad though.

{Ed002's Note - If Everton were to put in a better offer we will see what happens.}

4.) 20 Jun 2023 19:46:00
All down to money, as you say Ed. Fingers for crossed something can be done.

In Daily Mail Schneiderlin might be going to Roma, any other sources.

Wouldn't mind Rafa as can set up team properly when has proper finance. Also has vast experience of Europe and top players.

Second to that watched Shakhtar v Roma some top players Fred in midfield to play with Gana Under on right wing and also more fluid formation able to attack channels and high pressing line which is better defence than allowing opposition whole half of pitch to play in. Good moral and character to come back against top side.

I'm sure we'll get associated with lots of potential new managers between now and the end of the season, some possible and some just downright fanciful, but Sam is here until at least then so let's wait and see what happens.

2.) 23 Feb 2018 16:50:17
great shout i would take rafa all day would work wonders at a club willing to back him.

I'm not expecting any return of points and expecting fa further 10 point deduction for the 2nd charge simply because the Premier League can't sell Everton FC. We're no good to them not one of the Sky 6, nor a plucky underdog punching above their weight. Apart from us Evertonians no one wants to watch us. So it's simply a matter of sales, City/ Chelsea sell we don't so get rid and bring up a new whipping boy happy to be in the big league for a season or two.

They don't want any change to the status quo, and PSR proves that as does UEFA's FFP. The "Top Teams", whether PL or UEFA, don't want to lose their positions at the top. There will never be a City again where a club is bought out and financed to win anything again, Mark my words Newcastle will be next to feel their wrath. This is because they don't want them to set up Euro League.

Everton will just have to take what's coming to them, and reset and start again from scratch, in whatever League we end up in. As I'm sure EFL will have there rules to apply too.

Well Aston Villa are currently top four at the moment, so are you expecting them to get punished at some point?
The Premier League are not biased they’re just inept, and poorly run. Just like our football club.

Watching England U21's vs Serbia, playing really well dominated 1st half scored 3 could of been 6. Pressing defence as soon as the player receives the ball, fast incisive passing always to man in space, direct running with ball, instinctive shooting.

Really entertaining to watch would actually pay to watch them, usually asleep by halfway watching Internationals. Proper impressed by Lee Carsley's tactics and philosophy. Reading article how he explains his philosophy of players playing the space whether with or without the ball, and how has players play a role rather than a position for the team. Hence how he had Garner playing Right-back but actually playing as a midfielder.

As I'm typing this it's now 4-1. Really need to look at Carsley as SD's successor.

Blueboy2410

1.) 13 Oct 2023 06:03:29
Do remember that he has different / more resources (mainly players) available to him and he’s playing teams that are nowhere near the finished article.

Throw him in with our lot and it would not be long until the vultures started circling.

Maybe if he got some championship experience under his belt next.

2.) 13 Oct 2023 08:03:06
I have said it for months BB ??????.

3.) 13 Oct 2023 12:01:30
As well as Carsley is doing, it is a totally different set of circumstances and surroundings, no day to day running or financial restrictions with very little to no pressure on him, his style and philosophy is to be admired but this is also drilled into them at younger age groups within the national set-up.

He has the cream of the youth players to pick, all backed by the FA through the ages and fantastic facilities at St George's with a clear structure in place making it as easy as possible to transition from each age group

For him to turn up in premiership with no day to day management, transfer dealing experience and with the circus we are at the moment is a big big ask.

Imo he as said would be better off cutting his cloth lower league or he will get swallowed up like Frank and the rest of the young inexperienced managers who just straight in.

4.) 13 Oct 2023 13:53:41
Tell you what though Mocker mate he played with his heart on his sleeve eh, True Blue.

5.) 13 Oct 2023 14:25:06
Interesting points of view on Carsley. I like him a lot as a manager. Maybe one day? . I'm quite happy with dyche at the moment.
Carsley as a player use to frustrate me at times. That being said I appreciate him far more now as he always gave 200 percent, far more than some of our players have given over the last few seasons! Have to say for now at least I can see some fruits of recovery. Feel we have better options now and the playing squad is slowly going in the right direction. Very happy with branthwaite garner and Harrison. Then we have the usual performers in dacoure tarks pickford mcneil etc. Dcl seems to be (fingers crossed) finding his form. Beto and danjuma I think there will be more to come. I'm quite optimistic for the rest of the season. I think we will frustrate at times (see Luton home! ) but I think it will be a much better season.
On another positive note I am thankful that we have got rid of the likes of Davies, iwobi etc etc.

6.) 13 Oct 2023 16:02:15
Not that SD is going anywhere but who would you want as the next everton boss ? ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️ carsley for me all the way. that's if we had to get someone. Get well bill and retire.

7.) 13 Oct 2023 17:50:06
For me Ron it all depends where we are as a club,

Carsley a good call but for me if we are on a reset as a club and been relegated, as is Schumacher at Plymouth.

Think Dyche here for at least 18months yet as don't see much changing anytime soon and then could see us going down the Rooney road if he does ok at Birmingham, not that I am championing it but seems a natural route.

8.) 13 Oct 2023 20:10:43
Lee Carsley have a word. May as well have brown paper bag head the job.

9.) 13 Oct 2023 21:16:20
Who is your choice then DFS ?.

10.) 14 Oct 2023 09:06:18
Conjecture but why not Baines once his stripes are earned. Besides Dyche is our Manager.

11.) 15 Oct 2023 08:11:16
Schumacher is exceptional watched at close hand and is more than capable.

19 Sep 2023 22:55:55
Unfortunately another manager struggling with our squad of players. The performances this season are just so poor every supporter can see where the problems are and who needs to play, and who shouldn't. Where is the problem? The players? The manager? The board? The coaching setup? Myself I think it's all of the them we have became a club of also rans.

As a club we need to change the philosophy of the club the 1st thing I'd do was change is.

Blueboy2410

1.) 20 Sep 2023 22:18:03
Read an excerpt of an interview with Ian Wright. Basically, he says selling Iwobi to Fulham shows how far we have fallen, we used to sell our 'better' players to the likes of United, Arsenal etc and it's hard to disagree with that. He also has a few choice words leveled at Moshiri.
Keeping us hanging there, BB, did you press send too soon mate?

New image uploaded to the
Everton Player Sightings page entitled, Premier League Referees Test. Question 1, Spot the Red Card offence?

Click picture for larger image

Blueboy2410

1.) 01 Nov 2022 22:10:53
A still photo doesn’t always show if the player was in control or not. Allan got his red as it was a wild lunge. I’m not suggesting the rest weren’t reds, just want context for Allen’s one.

What is annoying is when you hear commentators or pundits say, “I’ve seen them given…” The point some refs would give and others wouldn’t shows the inconsistencies of refs.

2.) 02 Nov 2022 11:10:13
Alan's was not a wild lunge in the slightest.

3.) 02 Nov 2022 15:00:31
Allan deserved that red, ran after him for ten yards and definitely lunged at the other player.

4.) 02 Nov 2022 16:36:37
i don't think you two have ever played football in your life that's never a red card.

5.) 02 Nov 2022 22:39:30
I don’t think he was in full control of the challenge lamps as he was completely off the floor when making the tackle. He was very late, nowhere near the ball and studs were showing. I don’t think there was any intent to win the ball and he was aiming for the player so I’d argue it was red. Reckless challenge.

Take a photo of that challenge earlier in the contact and it looks worse than the one posted. Just think a full context would allow fairer comparison. They were all probably worth red but frustrating refs are consistent.

6.) 03 Nov 2022 00:17:10
Behave lamps! Allan ran after him and had to lunge at him as the player was leaving him for dust. Yes, I've played football and that particular tackle would have caused a free for all in Sunday league mate!

7.) 03 Nov 2022 19:18:44
Reckless is a yellow card. Dangerous is red.

I don't think Allan was dangerous, he was looking to trip him not hurt him. At least with St max being in the air his body could still move so wouldn't get hurt.

Vvd and mitrovic could have caused serious injury as onana foot was planted or flat in gana case.

The ayew challenge last season was wild and was scissor movement which often results in at East a yellow and don't think he got anything.

We can argue red or yellow til we are blue in the face. The main bug about VAR and referees is the consistency of decisions. What is red one week isn't the next depending which team are playing.

Not saying they are biased against us but last red card against us was gibby for West brom abar 2 years ago

.

8.) 04 Nov 2022 11:28:59
GJ, there may be some truth to us not getting decisions for incidents like these but, for me, the Allan tackle was a bad example. I thought it was a silly tackle to make at the time and I haven't changed my mind since. It's all down to personal opinion I suppose, we all see things slightly differently.

What's everyone think team for Saturday

Pickford
Paterson Coady Tarkowski Mykolenko
Onana Gueye Iwobi
Gray Maupay Gordon

Subs
Bergovic
Coleman Holgate Vinagre
Davies Allan Warrington
Mills Rondon Mcneil

Depending on end of transfer window.

Blueboy2410

1.) 01 Sep 2022 18:40:12
All of a sudden that 1st team looks pretty decent.

2.) 01 Sep 2022 18:53:56
Throw diaz in there ?.

3.) 01 Sep 2022 19:18:26
Think Holgates still injured.

4.) 01 Sep 2022 19:23:53
But who’s pulling the strings in the middle? That’s my worry!

5.) 01 Sep 2022 19:53:05
Think I would like Vinagre in there in place of Mikky.

6.) 01 Sep 2022 19:58:52
Iwobi, Bobby.

7.) 01 Sep 2022 20:36:46
Sorry smit, he’s improved remarkably but ain’t no midfield maestro.

8.) 01 Sep 2022 21:08:56
I don't think we need midfield maestro against sh! te until 2nd half when their old men start tiring, need keep pace up and run them ragged then unleash Mcneil, Davies, and Rondon on to that donkey VVD.

9.) 01 Sep 2022 22:08:09
No, we need someone to hold and spray otherwise it’s going to be defend defend defend and then go. The guys up top aren’t good enough. Will just come back like at Leeds.

{Ed002's Note - Some sort of gardener perhaps.}

Besides Premier League need to remember Chelse and City next in the dock after us for similar offences.

City's amount to 115 charges over 9 year. Whilst I'm not too sure about Chelsea's charges. Compared to ours of 1 charge in a year we were having our accounts supervised by the Premier League to ensure compliance.

Let's hope for consistency in their judgements and transparency of their decision making, and fairness in the penaltys handed out. (PGMOL)

As usual, doom doom doom, we're all doomed! It couldn't be simpler just waiting for the right winger to come in, move Garner into the centre, drop Gana as he doesn't offer anything, so play Onana there as he's done all his career to date. Danjuma on the left, to play as Richarlison did, then just a number 9 to finish (DCL was unlucky to take a knock). Besides we're just giving everyone a start before we get going.

The reason Rice and Mount are valued more than Onana, they are both older, England Internationals, and played in the Premier League all there careers. Given Onana progress same as the last 2 years for the next 2, he too would be valued equivalently. Also Onana played his 1st season in Premier League in a very poor team. We should keep him and sell when worth more next year if we need to.

US Govt website says $165m (£130m) raised by MSP EFC Investors. Hopefully that means the beginning of the end for Moshiri era at EFC. Obviously Bill is staying until new board is in position, as someone needs to be in charge of club day to day running.

It'll be same as rugby if forward is sin-binned, option to replace back for forward during sin-bin, play back in that position (as England RU do) , or carry on minus the forward (as All Black's do) . As you can guess what football equivalent would be.

How about playing him as a link (10) between Beto/ Chermiti/ Dobbin whoever we can get to score. Will then take pressure off and he might even score.

Totally agree we've been collared putting loan interest for business loans as interest on capital loans for the new stadium, although they came from the same bank account and we've renegotiated terms with lenders to cover all operating funds.

Also for not pursuing a private claim for breach of contract for player X after we sacked him when arrested, for player's mental wellbeing at the time.

For giving player Y an new contract to increase his market value even though we were actively seeking to move him on.

For not selling the targeted amount of players post C.V., to meet PSR, when Premier League witness said the only League not affected by post-C.V. reduction in transfer prices was the Premier League, therefore, doesn't that mean that target clubs were significantly lower, as would be any fees.

The worst we did was claim transfer levy payments not used for player's pension fund, transfered to youth trading as requested by EPL.

Culpability vs Mitigation
Who's to blame EPL or EFC, of course its Everton, but who could forecast a world-wide C.V. The invasion of Ukraine?

Not just operating cost soared but transfer values plummeted. Also management and operating costs soared for all sectors and industries servicing club too.

The main sponsor Russian national, board member Russian national, main supplier of steel for new groud Russian Company. Cheapest market for steel Russia. Who'd think it would be mitigating. Apparently not to Premier League.

Everton's flawed business plan to do the same as every other club trying to break in to the top of league has done in the past is to invest in superior players to improve performance in the league, therefore generating additional revenue. Our problem was we invested in the wrong sort of players, and didn't follow the guidance set by the people employed to do that job, by the majority shareholders.

Naughty, naughty, Everton what a huge sporting advantage you have over the rest of the Premier League. Profit and Sustainability, ok poor management and bad decision making can't be sporting advantage.

Points I find most unfair are;

why rules made in 2023 apply to 2019-2022.
Also how cost incurred prior to planning permission can't be used after planning permission is granted.
There are no penalty tariffs set by the EPL, unlike the EFL. Its dealt with case by case, subject to Mitigation and Culpability (European Super League? ) .

Blueboy2410

This could work in our favour what a incentive and motivational tool that could be used by the club. Make it in to a them against us scenario. Unify fans, club, and players to fight and battle to stick it to Premier League and the rest of the powers that be. Doesn't matter if we did anything wrong or not f@#k ' em, let's stay up just to wind 'em up.
