The League will probably dock Everton 30 points for Tark’s tackle before they announce any deductions for Man City.

Blues770

1.) 04 Apr 2025 22:17:49
And 10 more for pointing out that their goal shouldn’t have been allowed.

Ed,

In regards to transfers and finances, that is well out our control and true understanding. It is not close by a country mile to a fantasy league .

My question can only be: is Everton progressing properly towards financial and regulatory stability and sustainability, or are they still lagging behind?

If Everton cannot maintain sustainability, the table at the end of May is kind of irrelevant.

Blues770

{Ed002's Note - All assistance on the Everton page has been ended.}

1.) 27 Jul 2023 19:42:19
Sorry to hear that Ed.

Things will play out as they play out.

Just enjoy what the season brings.

2.) 27 Jul 2023 19:46:37
Has Ed02 bumped off Ed25?

{Ed025's Note - ED002 gets a lot of abuse on the sites BR and sometimes he has just had enough, this is one of those instances mate..

3.) 27 Jul 2023 19:58:26
It works both ways I think. A lot of posters also are on the receiving end of patronising and offensive comments from some Editors.

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't matter does it - the brain dead rubbish wins out and the page is finished.}

4.) 27 Jul 2023 20:01:33
Not sure what abuse ed002 has received on here today. Know we have had a bit of dialogue in terms of our transfer targets and potential spend but at no stage was anything abusive certainly not on my part if that's what your relating to. Hope your referring to other sites.

{Ed002's Note - Not you Mocker - don't worry.}

5.) 27 Jul 2023 20:06:31
Ah ok ed002. Genuinely thought I'd upset u bud with our early to and fro.

As much as may have differing opinions on stuff Ed's, you all do a fantastic job. Hope all gets resolved.

{Ed002's Note - No problem, sleep well.}

6.) 27 Jul 2023 20:24:30
Hope all is well ed 002 it could be worse mate you could be an evertonian like us ??.

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

31 May 2023 20:26:31
Are we picking up the option on Coady?

Blues770

{Ed002's Note - Conor Coady (CB) Everton did not support Frank Lampard when he wanted to take up the option on the player early in the season. Now the player may not be keen on a move even if Everton try and take up their option and will look at other opportunities available. One of which will be Sheffield United who will look to add him and a player on loan from Chelsea to bolster their defence and midfield.}

1.) 31 May 2023 22:12:33
Thanks Ed.

2.) 01 Jun 2023 10:09:28
Confirmed Coady isn’t staying, real shame that.

3.) 01 Jun 2023 10:25:55
Yep decent squad player, leader and versatile. Would have liked see him utilise as cover for DM role as his younger days.

The reported 4.5million was a no drainer.

4.) 01 Jun 2023 11:37:43
Yeah weird one, you don’t get even get unproven championship players for 4.5m these days. Perhaps his wages were high. I can only speculate though.

5.) 01 Jun 2023 12:38:14
I thought he would sign, Keane will most likely be staying then.

6.) 01 Jun 2023 13:52:40
Or there is no money to sign anyone.

7.) 01 Jun 2023 15:49:19
No money to sign and no money for wages.

I think Moshiri has nothing more to offer us. Think a takeover might give us a bit of cash but we still have FFFP issues that need sorting.

8.) 01 Jun 2023 17:39:52
Hopefully pick some good loan signings up.

9.) 01 Jun 2023 19:04:38
Get some celebrity players in ?.

Are there any leads at all other than Barry, or are we simply going to fill our roster with loans, cheap free agents, and some overpriced over the hill veterans?

Is Tete a long gone option?

Are we as toxic as Sheffield Wednesday?

Blues770

{Ed025's Note - talk about all quiet on the western front, i must admit im getting a bit worried now 770, there is nothing concrete at all on the transfer rumours front mate and even though its still early i was hoping we would have a couple in the bag by now, i have just been watching a film called "The Sum Of All Fears" well this transfer window is just that for me..up to now anyway.. :)

1.) 29 Jun 2025 20:14:43
You need to chill Ed, different Everton from now on mate, TFG will deliver, trust an oldie mate it will happen big time.

{Ed025's Note - i wish i had as much faith as you GB, talk about night sweats and sweaty palms mate....im like a jelly here ffs.. :)

2.) 29 Jun 2025 20:48:40
We have just brought in a load of back room staff so it will take a few weeks to get into gear and for things to gel. It would be nice to get something sorted but if PSR is still hanging over our heads, I’m expecting nothing until Tuesday at the earliest.
If we haven’t signed anyone by the 12th, I’ll start to worry.

3.) 29 Jun 2025 22:07:09
It’s fine, 1 July tomorrow, we will wake up to find we’ve signed…. no one….

4.) 30 Jun 2025 10:50:57
Look we may not have signed anyone yet, but we are in for loads of players apparently?‍♂️.

10 May 2025 16:44:08
Sign Alcarez.
Resign Keane as a striker.

Blues770

1.) 10 May 2025 16:56:20
I'm not saying sign him but Harrison did quite well today. Couple loose passes but generally tidy. Alcaraz played well too as did Keane tbf.

2.) 10 May 2025 17:33:32
I’d like to see if Keane could play defensive mid like Gueye.

3.) 10 May 2025 17:46:50
He's got a decent pass on him tbf and we all know he can strike a ball. Not a bad shout tbf BR.

4.) 10 May 2025 18:50:01
I'd rather just get a new and decent quality defensive mid than put our hopes in Michael Keane, who has struggled in his own position, let alone one he's unaccustomed to. Not to sound ungrateful, as he does chip in with the occasional goal. But he always does this. Out for ages because he's bobbins. Then played in an emergency. Then he scores a beaut and we all go "Why aren't we playing Keane more? ". Then he gets a run of games, spanners the basics of defending and eventually hoofs it into his own net. Then we all go "oh. That's why. " Rinse, repeat.

5.) 10 May 2025 19:13:35
Keane has had us a few vital goals. But he’s cost us way more with defensive errors. That doesn’t balance for me. To be a successful team we need better quality than him. It’s good that he goes, but I wish him well.

6.) 10 May 2025 19:18:58
Ffs players have one decent game and you all want to sign them. Keane, Harrison and Dacoure are NOT good enough, time to let them go.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Woburn..

7.) 10 May 2025 19:44:27
Just a shame we couldn’t get some money for them.

8.) 10 May 2025 19:56:20
Dacoure is certainly good enough, it is his agents apparent value on his wages that make his signing a problem. Keane and Harrison assessment I certainly I agree with.

9.) 10 May 2025 21:17:19
Dacoure is awful. Alcaraz showed what a proper footballer can do in that position.

{Ed025's Note - Doucs only bring one thing to the table for me BMD...energy, he will run all day for the team...but hes just no a very good footballer mate..

10.) 11 May 2025 00:33:32
Some absolutely mind blowing shouts.

Harrison was awful as always. Loses the ball every time he has it. Got little-boyed by a little boy. Offers absolutely nothing. Runs around aimlessly. So out of his depth it is unreal.

Doucoure is a terrible football player with a decent engine. Cannot control a football, has zero IQ and cannot make simple passes. He no way starts in the 10 for any decent PL side. It is actually embarrassing.

Pickford
O'Brien
JB
Tark
Gueye
Garner
Ndiaye

Anyone else is either a good squad player option or not good enough to stay at the club.

11.) 10 May 2025 23:53:18
I agree about doucoure ed25. Got the 1st touch of a pinball table bumper.

{Ed025's Note - if we want to progress Dentie we have to get rid of some of these constant under-performers mate, the likes of Harrison, Doucs, Keane, Patterson and even Beto and DCL, Moyes has done very well since he returned but the big test is what happens this summer, not only who he brings in but who gets shipped out and even though i am not expecting miracles we should get an understanding of where the club is going, i dont want to see a team full of players who are there for graft alone...that should be a given, i want to be entertained by players with skill and guile as well as energy, after all this is EVERTON, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum..

12.) 11 May 2025 08:31:37
Well said Ed, hopefully the club feel the same way.

{Ed025's Note - i hope they do Woburn, im not saying we should hope for Europe or anything next season mate just that we can be competitive and play with a bit of style..

13.) 11 May 2025 12:47:37
Been saying that since TFG arrived on the scene, can’t wait for the summer window.

14.) 11 May 2025 17:45:58
I can't wait until the end of it GB, all the nonsense news stories and time it takes to get transfers done. I hate the window. But you're right in the fact that it is so important and is the biggest challenge that Davey has faced yet.

09 May 2025 22:37:25
A snap poll, as I have no idea…

Which of the undeserving snooty teams do we want to lose the EL (final) and sneak an undeserved CL slot?

Spurs or the Mancs?

No they both cannot lose….

Talk amongst ourselves….

Blues770

1.) 09 May 2025 23:33:05
Not fussed 770. It’s not Everton related.

2.) 10 May 2025 07:26:45
It could be though whoever wins qualifies for the cl giving them money which manu haven't got aren't they after Jared. up the spuds I say.

3.) 10 May 2025 09:50:53
I'd like spurs to win but they are dire this season but as BR2425 says, I'm not really fussed about both teams. Man Utd are in decline and I'm loving seeing it. So it's spurs for me. Richy to score winner so spurs fans can get off his back for once.

02 May 2025 23:24:27
Random thoughts.

Tark's injury should make it less like JB gets sold, unless there is silly money offered.

Give Keane the start with Southampton, then sub him off. He has worked hard and had some big goals, so he needs a good Goodison send off.

Start Coleman as well, and sub him off as well with Keane to get a good send off.

DCL may make a good 2nd striker, impact player, based in his recovery and the right salary (well under 100K) . No acquisition fee.

Chermiti needs start the next four games, bringing on Beto when needed. Next year, depending on our acquisitions, he either plays every game (starting and sub) or he gets loaned out to the Championship.

Armstrong stays if he lights the summer on fire, or he gets another Championship loan out.

If Mangala is recovered, I would like him back in the midfield.

Doucoure, at the right salary, would be depth.

Gana, at the right salary, would be depth and a starter potentially.

Get Ricky (at a low non-Levy price if possible) .

It will be interesting to see if Patterson turns into a RB, or if he plays more of a RW or CB. Or if DM moves on.

Alcaraz looks like potential, for 15 mil maybe not too risky a flyer.

I want to like Linstrom, but likely not.

Harrison's big problem is he can't shoot. Good work rate and he can put in a cross at times. If cheap would not be bad. I know he is as popular here as hemorrhoids, but I don't mind him.

2-0 tomorrow. Mcneil and Beto.

Let's go 12 points in May. Must finish above West Ham, Manchester, and the Spurs.

Blues770

1.) 03 May 2025 09:13:06
I hope our summer plans are a bit more ambitious.
Expecting to Seamus either today or on the 18th for sure.

2.) 03 May 2025 09:48:13
Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. Yes. No. No. Yes. Yes. No. Yes. No. No. Yes. Hopefully.

27 Mar 2025 16:17:12
We are running out of days in March to hear about Man City’s “innocence”. Any thoughts when the PL let's the “Citizens” off with a slap on the wrist and a 2 pence penalty?

Blues770

1.) 27 Mar 2025 16:55:55
Be interesting to see this mate when it comes out me personally they have broken the rules 115 by precise but i just can't see the premier league docking them points as you say mate be slap on the wrist would like more knowledge if any of the eds have time what there foughts are on the situation and what punishment would they get if found to be in breach of any rules that have been broken.

2.) 27 Mar 2025 17:35:43
Chucked in Klink and the key thrown away mate.

3.) 27 Mar 2025 19:35:06
Weren’t Chelsea also being looked into for financial irregularities under Abramovic?

I doubt either will get much more that a ticking off. If that’s the case, it’s wrong. Very, very wrong.

4.) 27 Mar 2025 21:45:10
Perhaps the league is waiting for the final standings to see how many points to dock MC to either:

1. Keep them in European football by a goal differential,

2. Keep them in 17th place,

Bonus 3. See how many points to dock Everton for simply being Everton to allow City to stay up.

5.) 27 Mar 2025 22:41:38
The PL are absolutely bricking it. They’re in this way above their head and must be fully regretting docking us points. They’re know there’s no way at all they will satisfy the government who want them regulated and the 19 clubs who are eager to see how this will be concluded.

Personally I couldn’t care about the PL. they are toothless and to coin a phrase close to our hearts. They certainly went to this gunfight with a flick knife.

6.) 28 Mar 2025 18:19:53
There is going to be absolutely nothing done to city except a fine.

The way the EPL have treated us compared to them is amazing. We got 2 point deductions in 1 season for something that happened within the last 4 years. They've not even finished the hearing for City for things that have happened in the last 17 years! How can that happen.

There needs to be a proper governing body to the EPL. They are held accountable to nobody and its clubs like ours that gets punished while the City's and Chelsea's get away with everything.

The games gone.

Solid backup, low cost with PL experience. I can’t imagine being a keeper, knowing I’m likely second fiddle. Any peripheral outfield player will get a sniff at the pitch.

Welcome aboard the S. S. Bradley-Moore….

I think I'd prefer the Spurs to with the EL. I do not see how they could possibly with their roster manage CL and PL matches. Would love ManU to get a bigger dose of humility (being a small club) and spend a year without European football.

Actually, can they both lose the EL?
