Textor now back in the frame apparently. Wouldn't mind this as Palace appear to be run very well.
1.) 09 Aug 2024 16:49:57
Well he has to sell his shares in Palace, which he has not been able to do so far.
2.) 11 Aug 2024 12:49:04
It’s about the price BM. Already turned down 3 bids apparently so would expect him to shift it pretty easy if he’s genuinely wanting to take on Everton.

Alan Myers claims Friedkin has pulled out of buying us? Any ed's got news of this?
{Ed002's Note - From a takeover standpoint another option will need to be considered as Friedkin has finally stepped back. The issue surrounds two lots of debt - the debt to 777 partners which is being chased down by A Cap who leant them the money, and the debt owed to the Moshiri for loans.}
1.) 19 Jul 2024 12:36:10
I’m assuming the money owed to 777 will be the biggest problem as it can’t just be paid back to them with all the legal issues currently around them.
Would imagine we need the legal issues with 777 sorted prior to any prospective owner coming on board - however from the little I’ve seen of the 777 issue don’t think this will be resolved any time soon.
There has been mention there is enough money for the club to operate in the short term, however not sure how long a period that will be?
Ed with your knowledge what do you think will happen now? Is a fire sale on the cards to generate revenue to keep club afloat? Is administration on the cards? Or is the club stable enough to ride this mess out? Sorry for the numerous questions.
{Ed002's Note - There are legal issues, but not just related to the 777 Partners financing which is now being chased down by A Cap. The total size of the debt is huge and it somehow needs to be restructured - it is certainly larger than the value of the club.
I think the option involving MSP, Andy Bell and George Downing was the best as I said before. Friedkin cleared the MSP debt and they are now looking at investment in another club. At this point in time Rights and Media Funding need to be spoken to as their debt is secured against assets including Goodison. One option could be to look for a buyer for the new stadium who have the funding to complete it and allowing Everton to lease it back. Administration remains a huge risk still.}
2.) 19 Jul 2024 12:50:09
Thanks for the reply Ed.
Bill Kenwright and Moshiri have a lot to answer for with this complete mess that’s been created under their stewardship.
Oh for just one normal month as an Everton fan.
3.) 19 Jul 2024 13:35:48
So where do we go from here?
Can anyone save us from administration?
{Ed002's Note - It is rather back to square one again.}
4.) 19 Jul 2024 14:23:08
It's like Groundhog day being a blue. no chance they will comeback in I gather then?
{Ed002's Note - I would doubt it. The problem will be finding someone willing to take on the huge debt.}
5.) 19 Jul 2024 14:35:07
Is the going-concern value of Everton as a company higher than the liquidation value? If so surely we won’t go into administration? Surely the intangible assets and customer loyalty as well as any potential for future returns (stadium) must ensure this? Or am I well wide of the mark? Sorry Eds, I’m just very worried and very frustrated and a primary school teacher so I don’t know how the real world actually works!
{Ed002's Note - Entering Administration would give the owners time to restructure the debts whilst the club continues to operate. Everton will want to avoid it as it comes with a nine point deduction.}
6.) 19 Jul 2024 14:47:21
Apparently according to the echo two English billionaires from the are now in the frame ?♂️.
7.) 19 Jul 2024 15:01:48
Mosh really knows how to pick em ay?
What an absolute shower they all are.
8.) 19 Jul 2024 18:37:35
Complete shambles.
9.) 19 Jul 2024 19:31:20
Shame the MSP group have moved on. I’d take anyone who can sort us out at the moment. Would even contemplate Saudi Owners though I feel awful saying it. After everything we have endured under Moshiri, I just want him gone and the club back to competing in the Prem, not holding on each season.
10.) 20 Jul 2024 09:31:16
I doubt administration will happen as there are too many people with money involved in the club. A cap, r&m, Moshiri and now Friedkin, none of these are going to want to lose their money.
Moshiri will no doubt get a buyer just not the deal at what he wants.
On Friedkin, I've heard he done the same thing at Roma, brought in other investors and then bought the club. This could happen with us and reduce his risk as well.
11.) 20 Jul 2024 12:47:05
Let's hope Bell and Downing can swoop in and save the day.
{Ed025's Note - lets hope so Charlie, but im not ruling out Friedkin yet because its all a game when it comes to this sort of business mate..
12.) 20 Jul 2024 13:56:01
Yeah, I heard he dud the same at Roma Ed. Either way wish they'd bloody hurry up ?.
13.) 20 Jul 2024 22:00:44
Ed02, you may know this. If we have a preferred bidder but he wants to allow someone else to join the bid would the exclusivity agreement have end to allow the new party to join the bid and look over the goods?
{Ed002's Note - No. That would be welcome to the seller.}
14.) 21 Jul 2024 11:54:07
Thanks Ed.
09 Jun 2024 17:19:41
Broja from Chelsea. Like the look of this lad. Looks like we must already be selling a few.
1.) 09 Jun 2024 18:01:01
I hope and suspect its a load of nonsense. 30m for what?
2.) 09 Jun 2024 18:27:09
Not for me. he had 1 good season then done nothing. £30 million what a joke.
3.) 09 Jun 2024 18:28:04
Yep vastly overpriced Scottish for me too. Much prefer a loan with option to buy.
4.) 09 Jun 2024 18:45:58
The echo is reporting it’s not true at this time no bids submitted until the ownership is sorted.
5.) 09 Jun 2024 18:59:19
I really hope the days of spending that sort of money on overpriced crap are over.
Btw, does anyone think after a pre season with us, Beto will turn a corner?
{Ed025's Note - i cant see it myself ST, i just hope when he does turn a corner its on European soil mate and he is playing elsewhere..
6.) 09 Jun 2024 20:33:55
Broja is a much better player than Beto. Lad was just getting into the Chelsea team when injury set him back. Is he worth 30m probably not. But would imagine whatever we pay would be in staged payments anyway.
Lads only 22. What happened to you lot wanting young hungry players then?
7.) 10 Jun 2024 01:08:36
He couldn't even get into Fulham's 11, nvm Chelsea's.
8.) 10 Jun 2024 10:39:37
Not been remotely impressed by anything I've seen of him. Absolutely the level of player we get linked with and spot on price but hopefully we'll be forced to let this rip off go as we definitely can't afford it.
9.) 10 Jun 2024 12:01:30
30 million I'd be shocked if we spend b4 we sell, but he's not worth it! I'd be worried at 20 million tbh!
10.) 10 Jun 2024 12:33:34
I might of been abit harsh given that all forwards need the service and the time on the pitch. But not at £30 million though.
11.) 10 Jun 2024 14:14:56
Broja didn't have 1 good season, he had 2 good months at Southampton. 30m would be ridiculous but it'd be just like us. tbh he does seem better than Beto but we can't afford to waste any money. Would rather give Chermiti more game time.
12.) 12 Jun 2024 00:50:33
No thanks to broja on a perm. Loan then fine.
23 Jan 2023 12:42:17
So now it's come out that Frank had a falling out with a few of the players after the Southampton game. This resulted in Dacoure being dropped and left out of the squad.
If this is true then there is no hope for Frank. Sadly player power always wins these days,
1.) 23 Jan 2023 13:20:40
Totally agree, as much as I don't like frank he is the boss and is in charge and players should show a bit of respect and do as they are told. Player have to much power and that is a massive problem with today's game.
2.) 23 Jan 2023 13:32:34
How dare Dacoure show some passion and fight for the team!
3.) 23 Jan 2023 14:28:23
Show it on the pitch and he may have a point. Not put in a decent performance in months. More like him and Keane have spat the dummies out for not playing but don’t perform when they get a chance. Lamps had every right to push them aside.
4.) 23 Jan 2023 14:41:02
All depends on what doucore has said - if it’s to tell Frank some home truths about how bad the team and tactics are then I’d make doucore captain not bin him to the reserves!
5.) 23 Jan 2023 14:42:24
It’s a pity he never did it in the pitch.
6.) 23 Jan 2023 14:46:18
He argued over tactics and it seems he wasn't the only one as did the fans we could all see his tactics were poor or are us fans meant to show respect and say nothing and watch us slip into oblivion.
7.) 23 Jan 2023 20:52:31
Original AJ - well that would be a first. Have watched him amble round the pitch not giving a toss for years now so forgive me for not wanting to slap him on the back for "showing passion" by arguing with his manager in front of teammates because he's not getting a game anymore.
26 Dec 2020 19:26:22
Anyone know why we have two keepers on the subs bench?
{Ed025's Note - i dont mate..

Dyche said he could smell the change in the air when they scored. Well I can smell the bull crap you spout after every game mate. Sick of listening to all this garbage coming from this clown. Just get rid of this waste of space please.
1.) 31 Aug 2024 20:50:40
If he could sense it, why didn’t he do something about it?
2.) 31 Aug 2024 20:53:46
Pity he only smelt it not saw it!
He who dealt it smelt it!
So SD is to blame!
He spouts poo poo every time we lose and pretends to be a Jedi master when a lucky goal from a corner etc not good football flukes a win!
3.) 31 Aug 2024 20:54:43
Mr Soundbite. Just go away you deluded little man.
31 Aug 2024 09:57:51
We must have an excellent medical team, what with all these other clubs sending us their injured players.
1.) 31 Aug 2024 11:11:55
Looks like we have Broja without cost until he’s ready for selection. That’s shrewd to be fair.
I have to say he’s very different to what we currently have and if we’re looking at him as a Maupé replacement then I think it’s fair to say we have an upgrade there. He has pace, he’s direct and confident to shoot from distance.
Good and sensible signing for me.
27 Aug 2024 12:21:22
Latchford, Sharp, Gray. With Dyche's system none of them would score goals.
1.) 27 Aug 2024 15:18:10
He would have put Dixie Dean at right back lol.
26 Aug 2024 20:17:11
Surely all this talk of us signing Trippier is just that talk.
The guy is 33 going on 34, and is on 120k a week. Thought we were moving away from these stupid signings.
1.) 26 Aug 2024 22:18:30
Not sure there was ever any substance to the reports.
Without JB our defence looks all over the place though so something needs to happen.
2.) 27 Aug 2024 07:44:54
Don’t think we were ever interested mate.
19 Aug 2024 09:29:53
Sell DCL, sell Beto and buy a striker who knows how to score goals .
{Ed025's Note - absolutely Brass, but that striker will need service as well mate, we dont create enough for me...and it needs to be of better quality..
1.) 19 Aug 2024 09:59:20
Unfortunately Ed we've signed a couple of decent creative players that are better than anything else in our squad, but this clown doesn't deem them ready for the Premier League.
I really do despair. Sooner he's gone the better.
{Ed025's Note - he prefers grafters and the old guard instead of young creative flair SB, if he cant improve us with the better quality that has been bought then he will have to go mate...simple as that..
2.) 19 Aug 2024 10:04:13
Agree Ed, but that won't happen with the negative formation Dyche uses. Can understand using it away, but at home we should be a lot more positive.
In McNeil, Harrison and Dacoure we have some of the slowest forwards in the league. Brighton hit us with pace on the wings and we couldn't handle it. Imagine if they had our two out wide, would have been nil nil. And yet we had two quick players sitting on the bench?
{Ed025's Note - i know mate its so frustrating..
3.) 19 Aug 2024 10:12:09
We can't keep blaming the strikers as ed says they need the service, I blame negative nelly and his persistent rinse and repeat tactics.
I think our players are good enough, but I don't believe dyche is the right choice to unleash them.
{Ed025's Note - you are spot on for me Wolf, these players are not as bad as they look but it seems that way because of how they are set up and instructed to play with caution, i cant bear to watch us and my swear box must have close to £3m in it by now.. :)
4.) 19 Aug 2024 10:13:07
Ndiaye and Lindstrom might create more Ed25 - they just need to be given a chance.
{Ed025's Note - they surely would BR but they cant effect the game from the bench mate, it must be maddening for them as well..
5.) 19 Aug 2024 11:43:16
I disagree tbh. I think some of the players are nowhere near good enough. You can see it with some of the decision making during games alone. One that stuck out on Saturday being .
DCL wins a flick on and sends the ball to the right corner flag in the park end. Doucoure is already sprinting full speed ahead of DCL, comes to collect the ball and doesn't even look up. He then puts a shoddy "cross" into the box, straight to the keepers hands. If that was one of the lads for the top teams, they would have won a corner or simply recycled possession and come back for support and/ or retain possession.
Even if, by some miracle, DCL was in the box, it wouldn't have gone to him anyway but surely any player with a modicum of football intelligence and awareness would know that there is no chance that DCL could have been up with the play, making a cross absolutely pointless.
It really is school boy stuff.
Our players are extremely limited and it is clear for everyone to see, including the opposition players and backroom staff. We must be thee easiest team to plan for in training.
- Sit back and force the long diagonal ball from their keeper or cb's.
- Win the ball in the air because they have McNeil or Harrison lol.
- If Dom wins it, let him do his thing as he will not be anywhere near the danger area and that means no danger as none of their other players get into the box.
- Hit them on the flanks because their fullbacks are atrocious.
- Fizz balls along the 6/ 12 yard line as their defenders are absolute air heads and ball watch, rather than spotting where our danger men will be.
Most people slagged Onana off saying that he is overrated and hasn't shown anything for us. I beg to differ. I think he showed plenty of decent performances for us. His debut against Villa, albeit a short one. The Arsenal game. The Spurs game away. The United game at OT, just a few that spring to mind. These were all early in his Everton career for sure but the problem was that the stuffing got knocked out of him very quickly when he realised that no matter how well he did his job, it would have no bearing on the game. I can remember countless times where the lad won the ball back and got to his feet, urgently looking for a pass, only to see mannequins in front of him all over the pitch.
It was unadulterated dejavu on Saturday with young Timothy. The amount of times he won the ball back and had nothing in terms of movement ahead of him. By the 70th minute, the lad was exhausted, not just physically but mentally too. It won't be long until this insipid bunch of pretenders sap the life and enthusiasm out of him too and we have another Onana on our hands.
I am not making excuses for Gana as he should know better than anyone now how average this group is but he actually showed a decent bit of play before he gave it away in the middle of the park for the Welbeck goal. The issue was the same, he showed some intelligence and got some space but then there was absolutely nobody showing for the ball and he ended up playing a silly and risky pass as a result.
We are so bad and have been for so long that it doesn't even anger me anymore. Its like the emotion has been taken out of it and it is just expected and as if you deserve it, a bit like an abusive relationship, you accept it and stick around.
6.) 19 Aug 2024 11:45:14
No one ever mentions Doucoure, the fella is just a passenger most games and seems to add very little to any game.
7.) 19 Aug 2024 12:36:11
Top post BlueNose ?.
8.) 19 Aug 2024 14:30:17
Top post bluenose. I completely agree the overhaul of atrocious players is far from complete and we still have a lot of lemons.
This is why i would be cautious re just sacking dyche and i think we have to swallow the negative tactics and poor football until we simply have a decent squad. Having said all that dyche isn't void if critisism when you look at his team selection. I do agree with the vast majority that the weekends defeat is on dyche but too early to just sack him. Previouly we have been relegation fodder, now we are just frustrating!
9.) 19 Aug 2024 15:37:32
Spot on, BN, don't think many could argue with any of your points there mate.
10.) 19 Aug 2024 11:07:42
How do you think we will fair against Spurs away? Surely he can't start Holgate at RB.
{Ed025's Note - it certainly would not surprise me Scottish..
11.) 19 Aug 2024 17:16:47
Bit of a chicken and egg situation. A new manager could get a tune out of the squad, especially if they chucked the new boys and Dixon in. Can’t know can we?
12.) 19 Aug 2024 17:17:08
We are all frustrated lads but at least we are all frustrated together hey.
I just can't accept the "they aren't ready" bollocks he keeps sounding off about. Even some of the lads 50% will have more technical ability and guile than what was out there on Saturday.
There are lads there that have looked very decent in pre-season. If they can't last the 90 minutes, then take them off but at least start them and put the onus on the opposition when we are at home.
I know the PL is arguably the best and toughest league in the world but Dyche makes out as if it is a completely different sport. It isn't like it was back in the day. He needs to have a word with himself.
{Ed025's Note - the only positive i can take from Saturday is that surely Dyche knows he messed up BN and he now has the chance to change things, if it doesn,t happen then he has to go mate..
13.) 19 Aug 2024 18:04:13
If we are setup anything like the same Scottish I think it could be even worse. Spurs flanks are more dangerous and pacy than Brightons imo. Son and Johnson will have an absolute field day.
You are right Ed. I remember having a chat with JB at Ibrox last season. We had a dreadful start and Keane had played every game. I asked JB “How on earth can you not be starting ahead of Keane because he is absolutely s****”. The young man laughed and replied “Don’t worry mate, that will all change come Saturday. Low an behold, he never looked back that season.
I hope you are right and we see a completely different approach next weekend. I wouldn’t bank on it though. It is Dyche after all.
14.) 19 Aug 2024 19:32:06
Good stuff BN. Thing I don’t get is regardless of whether they’re ready or not we won’t really know until they get the opportunity. But we do know that Keane and Holgate are not good enough, which means they’ll never be ready. So what’s the thinking behind that Dyche? He then starts talking about XG and hopes we didn’t notice his clever little deflection there ?. The guy winds me up.
15.) 19 Aug 2024 20:21:10
100% Toffee ace. It is something I find impossible to wrap my head around too mate.
They have proven that they aren't good enough time and time again. At least give the untested lads chance to prove they are s**** too hey"

From what I have read he is taking action against Moshiri not Everton. Therefore it really has nothing to do with the sale of the club.
31 Aug 2024 10:11:27
Well the lad made a right mess of that didn't he. Think Dyche's "Gaffers Day" is scaring them all off.
31 Aug 2024 10:09:45
Hit the nail on the head JB. Now have four strikers, bench is going to be packed because he will probably only play one.
30 Aug 2024 23:18:39
We got 10m for him. Think we did ok.
30 Aug 2024 23:18:03
Going to West Brom.

12 Sep 2024 16:36:28
All I know is Belgium were already losing 2-0 when he came on, and it stayed 2-0. Lad in my local is a Forest fan, and he said he works hard but is a better defensive midfielder than an offensive one.
Which makes me think he would be ideal for Dyche.
12 Sep 2024 10:19:17
One of our biggest moans was that Moshiri never let the fans know what was going on. We now could have a potential new owner who appears more than happy to share what is happening. I find this quite refreshing, and wish the guy well if and when he buys us. And let's face it most Americans like the sound of their own voice, so nothing new their.
11 Sep 2024 16:30:47
Well if we floated ours they would probably sink.
11 Sep 2024 13:30:28
If and it's a big if, he doe's take us over then I don't see him keeping Dyche.
11 Sep 2024 13:23:31
He can agree with Moshiri to buy the club, but until he sells his shares in Palace the Prem won't sanction it.
