Billy Gilmore is available for £15m, Napoli are favourites but would be a good signing for us if we're interested and able.
{Ed002's Note - Everrton has no interest.}
1.) 30 Aug 2024 12:21:12
O'Reilly got a bad injury midweek so unlikely he will move now.
02 Jan 2024 12:05:39
Talk of Jesse Lingard coming in as freebie.
{Ed002's Note - Jesse Lingard (CM/AM) Free Agent and of little interest to Premier League sides. Options potentially in the Middle East and the player wants the MLS. Offered to Lille and Marseille - but a move to France is fraught with non-European issues.}
1.) 02 Jan 2024 13:14:21
Did well at Wham and made me slightly gutted we didn't win that race. No show at Forest. Was it an attitude problem or was he not deemed good enough? Seemed a big drop off either way from the season before being one of Whams best players. Can't be any worse than Danhoofer or can he? These seem to be the type of deals we are shopping at these days. Creative punts with minimal outlay and short contracts.
2.) 02 Jan 2024 13:40:42
Didn't know that FBS. I know they won the xmas chart race.
3.) 02 Jan 2024 16:50:13
Back up for Doucoure by the looks.
4.) 02 Jan 2024 18:24:57
Could have done with him Last Christmas ?.
{Ed025's Note - love it Woburn..
5.) 03 Jan 2024 13:51:28
Any thing lingard did was 3 years ago, since then he has done nothing, 31 and hasn't played regularly for how long now, another deli, plus I've also read we are not intrested, we have an intrest in bownhil but that's also as a loan, but would see Burnley slowing it unless we would pay a sell on fee after his contract runs out this season.
6.) 04 Jan 2024 12:46:16
Its just "careless whispers" from "bad boys", just "wake me up before they go go"
7.) 04 Jan 2024 14:19:59
Ignoring the terrible jokes above, we aren't going to sign someone with ridiculous wage demands who wouldn't be match fit til April.
8.) 05 Jan 2024 08:39:05
Actually Yorkshire Toffee that sounds exactly like something Everton would do lol.
9.) 08 Jan 2024 16:26:15
Rather have Jessie from toy story.
21 Aug 2023 10:34:56
SKY reporting Gray deal agreed with a Saudi club, but can only leave once we have a replacement in.
1.) 21 Aug 2023 10:56:59
Should be gone by January then.
2.) 21 Aug 2023 12:04:57
Is that Jan 24 or 25 JB?
3.) 21 Aug 2023 12:26:21
That’s good news Bunkbeds Sean will either get Gnonto or similar with the cash, at last new faces.
4.) 21 Aug 2023 12:29:01
Can't go until a replacement is found! That will be difficult finding someone else who can't hit the back of the net. Get rid now, save the salary, and give a youngster the chance.
5.) 21 Aug 2023 13:48:34
Read he's not up for a Saudi as his young family won't go there. He wants a English club?
6.) 21 Aug 2023 18:11:46
Won't get Gnonto. I read the same as FBS.
7.) 21 Aug 2023 22:02:53
So sell Gray bring in Hudson Odoi? Both the same type of player. So where’s the improvement?
8.) 21 Aug 2023 22:38:41
Mate of mine is a Leeds fan and apparently Gnonto has no release clause went from pushing for the move to saying he didn’t want it today. Apparently he reckons another PL side is interested. Don’t really blame him as he probably doesn’t want two relegations in two seasons on his CV.
22 Jul 2023 17:46:36
Cannon having pictures taken with PNE fans at Deepdale, really hope it's only for a loan.
1.) 22 Jul 2023 17:55:03
And Maupay was crap against Wigan. I just do not know what Managers see in him.
{Ed025's Note - nor me mate..
2.) 22 Jul 2023 19:25:48
Ashley Young man of the match according to the Liverpool echo.
3.) 22 Jul 2023 20:46:53
They see that he’s our only fit striker?
Unless you count Cannon. Frustrating.
4.) 22 Jul 2023 21:48:17
Very frustrating mate we need a forward we’ve not replaced Lukaku and I know some on this site don’t agree.
{Ed025's Note - i think we all agree we need a forward penysarn, in fact we are desperate for one, will we get one?...who knows with this lot in charge, Danjuma may come in but we need someone who knows where the back of the net is and is not injured all the time, but knowing us we will stick with Maupay mate..
5.) 22 Jul 2023 22:35:50
I’m fearful that you are right Ed25. It’s hard to believe we have still not learnt any lessons. I can only hope we buy someone outright and get in another on loan.
{Ed025's Note - spend what we can on a forward and i will be happy BR, the rest we can make up as we go along, pay someone to take Maupay and throw in Godfrey for free and the future will look rosy mate..
6.) 22 Jul 2023 22:38:42
Even if DCL had been for the last few years, we’d still have been short, and we’ve signed dozens of players in that time. I’m not a manager or a DOF, but I’d have sorted that problem out a long time ago. I know a good number 9 is hard to find, but we’ve not even taken a punt on one.
7.) 23 Jul 2023 13:10:13
Let’s see how we look when everyone is back like Garner and Branthwaite and Gray .
We know DCL and Delle are on the mend from physical injuries
Gomez not sure why he didn’t feature but if he has an injury then fair enough but if he wants to go it makes sense for him to be left out.
I think Cannon must be going even though he has an injury you’d think he’d have been at Finch farm or watching us from the dug out. SD said he wants four in well that’s two done two to go and still early days.
Stay positive blues
UTFT COYB.
8.) 23 Jul 2023 13:41:00
Maupay has got to be the worst striker I have ever seen in an Everton shirt and that really takes some doing that does. I’ve seen some terrible strikers pull our jersey on but he really takes home donkey of the day award.
Just watched highlights and he’s 6 yards out, puts a volley 15 yards over the bar.
He’s 6 yards out and puts a free header 6 yrds wide.
Free shot on goal after good play, penalty spot. Straight at the keeper!
He’s so terrible at football! I can honestly say that my 5 year old son would have done better with all three of those chances!
20 Jul 2023 09:49:26
Danjuma on season long loan apparently.

A truly frightening bad starting 11. Obvs hope we can pull off a miracle.
28 Sep 2024 21:58:59
Drop McNeil
McNeil is awful
Sorry but he prove time and again.
1.) 28 Sep 2024 22:58:22
He’s not the issue in my eyes; it’s Keane, Young, Harrison and Doucs. Two past it and two not good enough. You can’t work out which.
2.) 28 Sep 2024 23:30:32
What?
3.) 29 Sep 2024 12:19:44
I thought Harrison was close to MOTM. He changed the game in the second half.
Football is a funny game. A player can look great one week bad the next. Confidence is hugely important and hopefully. Now we start to move forward.
Let's see where we are COME January. We're 3 points off 10th today. We know Dyce isn't the answer but nothing is changing until at least Jan so we need to keep a cap on our frustration and get us as high up that table by then.
4.) 30 Sep 2024 06:33:08
I accept Harrison played well BlueJohn but he is found wanting in most games and runs round like a headless chicken. Use him as an impact sub maybe the best role for him but he constantly disappoints, gives the ball away, is often out of position (partly covering Young) , runs into areas that are easily defendable… I’m just not a fan.
Maybe if he was played in his natural position on the left he might change my mind but he’s often deployed on the right or centrally when I’ve watched him.
01 Sep 2024 09:03:30
Think we've covered most things about the game, however, Pickford as definitely at fault for the last goal, caught in no man's land. Defence certainly didn't help him either.
1.) 01 Sep 2024 09:19:24
For balance you’d have to say he also kept out a couple of certain goals prior to that Bunks.
2.) 01 Sep 2024 09:28:39
No he wasn't. The defence were all over the place, and the lad had already made three good saves. That loss has nothing to do with the keeper.
3.) 01 Sep 2024 09:54:28
Very harsh on Pickford! He had no cover last 5 mins and made 3 great saves at 2-2. Comes down to defenders and Dyche not bringing on fresh legs. O’Brien is 6’5” so would’ve been perfect time to put him in but SD knew best (again! )
4.) 01 Sep 2024 10:20:11
It also made me realise how much of a passenger Doucoure is when he plays. I could not fault McNeil for wanting the ball, covering the yards and making things happen when he got it.
5.) 01 Sep 2024 10:46:18
That's very harsh. He makes 2 magnificent saves in that collapse. I've just watched it again for my sins and the error is unforgivable. It's naive tactics. Either the players ignored the manager and went nuts or they didn't get instructions. We were gung-ho pushing for a 3rd goal.
We are a fan base that remembers D M and Carlo and Rafa. Love loath or indifferent, they all had one thing in common. If we were winning even by a single goal at 70th minute. They shut up shop. 11 behind the ball low block tight lines and striker no further than halfway line. Substitutions were always defensive players replacing midfield players and usually we'd end up with 5 at the back and in effect 5 in midfield. Yesterday We had Myko on the edge of their box with 2 players ahead of him on 2 of their 3 goals playing open football with minutes to go. Why is he up there? We didn't shut up shop or even try. Pathetic this is all on SD. Villa next have a feeling this isn't going to get any better and we need a change and quick. This guys had it.
6.) 01 Sep 2024 11:12:29
Have to say, I agree. We had pace on the bench in Lindstom and Dixon that would have pushed Bournemouth back, and defensive options in O’Brien and even Young could have dropped in at right back a and pulled Seamus into a back three. So inept it’s untrue.
{Ed025's Note - listen guys i have not really commented on yesterday as i wanted to revisit the crime scene and watch the game again to avoid a knee jerk reaction, my take on things is that i am more confident of survival than i was before the game because we actually played like a team, first half was good but the second half was very good except for the debacle at 86 minutes and we could and maybe should have been out of sight by then, has this made me a fan of SD?...hell no, but what he has at his disposal now is players that can score and create goals which gives us a decent chance in games, now i know that does not excuse the defeat yesterday but it does give us a fighting chance i believe, yes its a shambolic start but its 3 games in and im stating now that we are going to be alright....and no im not turning into my old friend GB :) COYB..
7.) 01 Sep 2024 12:00:53
All very true Ed025 we did play well until the final minutes but we lost the game. Coleman was out injured just over a week ago and played on Tuesday and was spent by the end of the game. We have a healthy, young and fast kid in Dixon on the bench who should have been won at the 70th minute. O'Brien should have been on for Keane at the same time and our most creative player who they had three players around is taken off and the waste of time that is Doucoure is brought on to replace him. This defeat is solely at the hands of SD, mark my words regardless of the talent that you quite rightly say we have in our squad if they are not managed properly you have plenty of savvy managers that will exploit our weaknesses week in week out.
{Ed025's Note - all good points you make Mike and in no way am i giving Dyche a walkover mate, his use of subs had always been a problem but sometimes a manager can be in a no win situation, if he had brought on the likes of Obrien and Dixon and we had lost we would all have been asking why he changed things i suppose...damned if you do damned if you dont, im saying that was an anomaly yesterday and i seen a team that will do ok despite of the manager not because of him...my cup is still half full..
8.) 01 Sep 2024 12:14:38
Agree with Ed025 with the one caveat:
that Dyche learns from this.
Not for the first time all the fans saw what the manager couldn't which was they'd brought on fresh legs while we hadn't and it's what cost us the game.
Pickford not to blame for any of the goals, he was caught in no man's land but that was because of lack of defence at the far post. Protecting a lead was Dyche's thing, he needs to get that back.
{Ed025's Note - he has to learn Bunnyman or it will cost him his job mate..
9.) 01 Sep 2024 12:26:49
I didn't say he cost us the game and yes he did do his job with some good saves, but he was at fault, along with the defence for the 3rd goal.
10.) 01 Sep 2024 12:30:31
Ed025 are you morphing into a GB? All a matter of opinion mate and I hope you are correct and SD morphs into a good manager but IMHO we need a new and younger replacement who can manage games better, uses the best player available and not his favorites, and knows when to bring on substitutes!
{Ed025's Note - im not trying to make excuses for him Mike im just trying to be positive mate, i seen enough out there yesterday to believe we have a fighting chance if the game management is better, im sick of dreading watching us and before the capitulation was grinning like a Cheshire cat, but its last chance saloon now for Sean and i think he knows it..
11.) 01 Sep 2024 12:49:08
All fair points. As I said yesterday, we’d all have been waxing lyrical about the performance if it’d stayed at 2-0. Dyche is paid to make the big calls on subs etc, and they were wrong yesterday. Could it have been worse if he’d gone more positive/ more defensive? Well it couldn’t have been much worse could it? The pressure grows again and the club look foolish.
12.) 01 Sep 2024 13:17:52
Can’t see us losing that if we made subs mate. Was obvious to anyone watching that the midfield and fullbacks were done and it was the tiredness that killed us. Tim couldn’t run anymore and lost his marker as did mykolenko and Coleman.
13.) 01 Sep 2024 13:18:53
Ed while I agree we now have a better squad it is wasted on this clown. Yesterday was a prime example. Tim and Seamus were done and needed replacing and Keane once booked went into full panic mode. We had the players on the bench to sort this out, and yet he takes off our most creative player and throws on Dacoure whose legs are gone.
That is where we lost the game. I was sitting there and all around me were baffled by the decision. We could see we’re the changes needed to be made, why the feck couldn’t he.
{Ed025's Note - as i say Nfm Dyche has to take part of the blame for that result as i agree with you the substitutions were awful, the players have to also take the blame for their part in the fiasco as these are finely tuned athletes and it was down to loss of concentration as much as fitness imo mate..
14.) 01 Sep 2024 14:36:18
It was terrible game management Ed. Pure and simple. The defeat lands solely on SD and the manner of the defeat is inexcusable.
{Ed025's Note - his game management was awful Charlie...and not for the first time by the way, but also the players are culpable if you ask me, they bottled it when they got a goal back and have to be a lot better than that mate..
15.) 01 Sep 2024 15:29:19
Yes ed but Tim’s played less than 5 games in premier league, gana and Coleman are just back and Keane was on a yellow. Should have been them 3 off around 75 minutes didn’t even need to play dixon could have gone young garner obrien. Terrible decision.
{Ed025's Note - yeah Tranmere he could have, im not making any excuses for him mate but i think the players need to look at themselves as well..
16.) 02 Sep 2024 08:13:32
Totally agree Ed.
30 Aug 2024 19:25:21
Talksport saying we've signed Mangala. Maybe we need more but.
This allows us to have Tim and Mangala holding. Gana needs to be backup now. And Armstrong pushing
This then allows Garner and Ndiaye for 10, McNeil, Harrison Limdstrom wings
We have 3 v. good CB IN Tarks, JB and O'Neil, Keane backup
Hopefully Patterson can finally step up, I like his passion, pace and tenacity, as with Dixon
Lb - myko is solid but we are exposed there as a squad.
St - DCL can do it, and needs to. Beto meh, Chermiti promising
Douc, gana, Coleman, Keane, Armstrong, Beto and . young as backup.
1.) 30 Aug 2024 19:57:01
Patterson pace? You need hamstrings to have pace Bunks haha.
Mangala looks after the ball. Something we have been crying out for since Gaz Baz mate.
2.) 30 Aug 2024 20:51:43
Still think the missing piece is a striker’s striker.
28 Aug 2024 14:57:36
Change of subject. Armstrong became our 10th youngest prem debutant and hopefully he can crack on.
Of all the young hopefuls in that time who did you think would 'make it' (top div/ International) but for what ever reason it didn't happen.
Billy Kenny, James Vaughan and Tyias Browning.
1.) 28 Aug 2024 16:15:29
Billy Kenny was a superb player. Had everything. Just a shame his off field demons got the better of him.
{Ed025's Note - what a waste of talent Pierre, i played against his brothers many a time and they were talented players as well mate, but billy had everything...bar a brain and willpower..
2.) 28 Aug 2024 17:39:01
Kieran Dowell. Talented player but believed his own hype and started to come across a bit arrogant. Now he don't even start for Rangers.
3.) 28 Aug 2024 18:52:08
Surely Barkley is right up there. Had everything, should have 100 caps by now.
4.) 28 Aug 2024 20:02:52
Only had him on loan but Royston Drenthe looked world class for about 5 minutes before he went bonkers and kamikazied his own career.
5.) 28 Aug 2024 20:04:46
Rodwell too. We were hearing about his potential for about 10 years but he never really delivered. Astonished when city bought him.
6.) 28 Aug 2024 20:50:47
Billy Kenny, what a Shame
Jose Baxter was another for me thought he could have been class
Slightly different scenario but Joe Parkinson was robbed of a class career.
7.) 29 Aug 2024 09:33:57
I'd argue that whilst Barkley didn't become the next Rooney he still made it as a top level player. Rodwell plummeted didn't he.
Remember Cadermarteri, I saw him and Big Dunk score against Wimbledon at Selhurst Park.
05 Sep 2024 17:19:58
Expect at least top 6 finish? So finish with the likes of
Man City
Arsenal
Liverpool
Villa
Spurs
Newcastle
Man Itd
Chelsea
Brighton
We are miles and miles behind these teams/ squads.
The last game looked at bit better, against bottom half team in Bournemouth, then we capitulated,
05 Sep 2024 14:03:11
Whilst we'd all live a forward thinking successful manager playing winning dynamic football, I really don't get the complete anti Moyes. He produced vastly better teams that what have or for the past however many years. He has also recently won a euro competition with West Ham. Does he play expansive football, no but better than current? Yes.
27 Jul 2024 22:34:47
There is talk of Tarks broken foot.
{Ed025's Note - oh right, never heard that mate..
25 Jul 2024 15:19:40
Did we offer Branthwaite better pay than he was at Carlisle? Or Pickford mote than Sunderland? Or Beto, Chermiti? McNeil? Cahill, Cottee? Etc etc etc.
Tapping up is annoying I get it, bet we've done it as well.
Regardless of being hundreds or thousands we'd all want earn as much we could for our families, even if sometimes the amounts are pretty obscene compared to the rest of us earning a normal wage.
25 Jul 2024 13:33:10
If another company in same line as work offered you a higher salary, to do the same job, would you ask your current employer to match it? Or stay and say, don't worry boss I'll do the same for you but for a lot less.
06 Oct 2024 09:26:53
Good result and good performance aren't necessarily the same thing.
05 Oct 2024 17:32:11
That sounds horrendous ha ha. Luckily my missus is getting drunk away with her family this weekend. I'm home with the youngest, the dog and the radio.
24 Sep 2024 10:40:41
You might be right wblue2, 12 players is probably better.
23 Sep 2024 21:25:10
Southgate is clearly good at building a collective, has intellect about building. But as a day to day manager I'm not convinced.
23 Sep 2024 21:19:29
Yes. Pick a better team.
