Who are our realistic Jan transfer targets?

Bunkbeds

1.) 14 Dec 2024 09:34:39
Who knows ??‍♂️.

2.) 14 Dec 2024 10:13:44
Ask our DOF BB. Hmm now who realistically will be our DOF by January? ?.

3.) 14 Dec 2024 19:30:50
We need all the parts of an attacking unit to start. Maybe keep Ndiaye.

4.) 14 Dec 2024 20:16:04
I am not sure of names like but ideally I'd want:
A striker
A RW
A LW
A CM
A RB
A LB

That should probably do us.

{Ed025's Note - best of luck with that Chris..

5.) 15 Dec 2024 10:34:19
Couple of those could be filled with the Shworth click bait articles referencing Ashworth would look to since Tariq Lamptey, Evan Ferguson and Julio Enciso.

6.) 16 Dec 2024 07:08:41
It's crazy to think how many aren't up to the job Ed. We've basically got a GK, 2 CBs and some 3 CMs and 1 forward player at start 11 quality. And I am sure some would argue that the CMs aren't starting 11 quality.

{Ed025's Note - im sure TFG will want to change quite a lot Chris but that will be over a number of windows mate, it will also be decided by hopefully the new manager and possibly new DOF, this is no quick fix though..

30 Aug 2024 11:57:30
Billy Gilmore is available for £15m, Napoli are favourites but would be a good signing for us if we're interested and able.

Bunkbeds

{Ed002's Note - Everrton has no interest.}

1.) 30 Aug 2024 12:21:12
O'Reilly got a bad injury midweek so unlikely he will move now.

02 Jan 2024 12:05:39
Talk of Jesse Lingard coming in as freebie.

Bunkbeds

{Ed002's Note - Jesse Lingard (CM/AM) Free Agent and of little interest to Premier League sides. Options potentially in the Middle East and the player wants the MLS. Offered to Lille and Marseille - but a move to France is fraught with non-European issues.}

1.) 02 Jan 2024 13:14:21
Did well at Wham and made me slightly gutted we didn't win that race. No show at Forest. Was it an attitude problem or was he not deemed good enough? Seemed a big drop off either way from the season before being one of Whams best players. Can't be any worse than Danhoofer or can he? These seem to be the type of deals we are shopping at these days. Creative punts with minimal outlay and short contracts.

2.) 02 Jan 2024 13:40:42
Didn't know that FBS. I know they won the xmas chart race.

3.) 02 Jan 2024 16:50:13
Back up for Doucoure by the looks.

4.) 02 Jan 2024 18:24:57
Could have done with him Last Christmas ?.

{Ed025's Note - love it Woburn..

5.) 03 Jan 2024 13:51:28
Any thing lingard did was 3 years ago, since then he has done nothing, 31 and hasn't played regularly for how long now, another deli, plus I've also read we are not intrested, we have an intrest in bownhil but that's also as a loan, but would see Burnley slowing it unless we would pay a sell on fee after his contract runs out this season.

6.) 04 Jan 2024 12:46:16
Its just "careless whispers" from "bad boys", just "wake me up before they go go"

7.) 04 Jan 2024 14:19:59
Ignoring the terrible jokes above, we aren't going to sign someone with ridiculous wage demands who wouldn't be match fit til April.

8.) 05 Jan 2024 08:39:05
Actually Yorkshire Toffee that sounds exactly like something Everton would do lol.

9.) 08 Jan 2024 16:26:15
Rather have Jessie from toy story.

21 Aug 2023 10:34:56
SKY reporting Gray deal agreed with a Saudi club, but can only leave once we have a replacement in.

Bunkbeds

1.) 21 Aug 2023 10:56:59
Should be gone by January then.

2.) 21 Aug 2023 12:04:57
Is that Jan 24 or 25 JB?

3.) 21 Aug 2023 12:26:21
That’s good news Bunkbeds Sean will either get Gnonto or similar with the cash, at last new faces.

4.) 21 Aug 2023 12:29:01
Can't go until a replacement is found! That will be difficult finding someone else who can't hit the back of the net. Get rid now, save the salary, and give a youngster the chance.

5.) 21 Aug 2023 13:48:34
Read he's not up for a Saudi as his young family won't go there. He wants a English club?

6.) 21 Aug 2023 18:11:46
Won't get Gnonto. I read the same as FBS.

7.) 21 Aug 2023 22:02:53
So sell Gray bring in Hudson Odoi? Both the same type of player. So where’s the improvement?

8.) 21 Aug 2023 22:38:41
Mate of mine is a Leeds fan and apparently Gnonto has no release clause went from pushing for the move to saying he didn’t want it today. Apparently he reckons another PL side is interested. Don’t really blame him as he probably doesn’t want two relegations in two seasons on his CV.

22 Jul 2023 17:46:36
Cannon having pictures taken with PNE fans at Deepdale, really hope it's only for a loan.

Bunkbeds

1.) 22 Jul 2023 17:55:03
And Maupay was crap against Wigan. I just do not know what Managers see in him.

{Ed025's Note - nor me mate..

2.) 22 Jul 2023 19:25:48
Ashley Young man of the match according to the Liverpool echo.

3.) 22 Jul 2023 20:46:53
They see that he’s our only fit striker?
Unless you count Cannon. Frustrating.

4.) 22 Jul 2023 21:48:17
Very frustrating mate we need a forward we’ve not replaced Lukaku and I know some on this site don’t agree.

{Ed025's Note - i think we all agree we need a forward penysarn, in fact we are desperate for one, will we get one?...who knows with this lot in charge, Danjuma may come in but we need someone who knows where the back of the net is and is not injured all the time, but knowing us we will stick with Maupay mate..

5.) 22 Jul 2023 22:35:50
I’m fearful that you are right Ed25. It’s hard to believe we have still not learnt any lessons. I can only hope we buy someone outright and get in another on loan.

{Ed025's Note - spend what we can on a forward and i will be happy BR, the rest we can make up as we go along, pay someone to take Maupay and throw in Godfrey for free and the future will look rosy mate..

6.) 22 Jul 2023 22:38:42
Even if DCL had been for the last few years, we’d still have been short, and we’ve signed dozens of players in that time. I’m not a manager or a DOF, but I’d have sorted that problem out a long time ago. I know a good number 9 is hard to find, but we’ve not even taken a punt on one.

7.) 23 Jul 2023 13:10:13
Let’s see how we look when everyone is back like Garner and Branthwaite and Gray .
We know DCL and Delle are on the mend from physical injuries
Gomez not sure why he didn’t feature but if he has an injury then fair enough but if he wants to go it makes sense for him to be left out.
I think Cannon must be going even though he has an injury you’d think he’d have been at Finch farm or watching us from the dug out. SD said he wants four in well that’s two done two to go and still early days.
Stay positive blues
UTFT COYB.

8.) 23 Jul 2023 13:41:00
Maupay has got to be the worst striker I have ever seen in an Everton shirt and that really takes some doing that does. I’ve seen some terrible strikers pull our jersey on but he really takes home donkey of the day award.

Just watched highlights and he’s 6 yards out, puts a volley 15 yards over the bar.

He’s 6 yards out and puts a free header 6 yrds wide.

Free shot on goal after good play, penalty spot. Straight at the keeper!

He’s so terrible at football! I can honestly say that my 5 year old son would have done better with all three of those chances!

Outs
all out of contract players.
Branthwaite (sadly, but good dosh)
13 players

Ins
GK
Alcaraz
Walker-Peters
1 x championship CB
Hayward-Belis
Soucek
Longstaff (loan)
Fellows
Evan Ferguson (Loan)
2 x overseas loans
11 players.

Bunkbeds

1.) 23 Apr 2025 17:58:21
Can’t see JB moving myself, we need to build the Team around him, also for the first time in yonks I don’t believe TFG will be after money more like spending it.

2.) 23 Apr 2025 18:33:25
Will still need to balance the books unfortunately, hopefully I'm wrong.

26 Mar 2025 10:23:17
The backbone of our squad (still under contract into 2026) is pretty solid.
Pickford
Patterson
OBrien
Tarks
Branthwaite
Myko

Tim
Garner
McNeil

Ndiaye
Chermiti
Beto

Add Alcaraz and Gueye
Armstrong maybe, but would prefer him to get a full championship season at a top half team

Ins I'd like to see players such as
Walker-Peters - Free
Coufal- Free
Longstaff
Fellows
Igamane
1-2 further decent young championship or unknown foreign players
Better loans

Not much then ha ha.

Bunkbeds

1.) 26 Mar 2025 14:14:10
Just out of interest sake why would you want to see Coufal join?

I get he’s got premier league experience and has worked under Moyes.

However, he’ll be 33 start of next season, he’ll want decent wages, he’ll be due a signing fee as a free agent and imagine would atleast want a 2yr contract - surely that’s not a deal we should be doing?

Signing players at the end of their careers and giving them one last pay cheque was one of the factors that got us in the mess we were in with our finances.

For me it would be a step in the wrong direction signing him, regardless of the experience he could bring.

2.) 26 Mar 2025 14:21:54
We are not to far from decent team - especially with Ndiaye and McNeil adding a bit of quality going forward.

Would think we need a Rt back Lt back and a striker minimum.

Think we could make use of loans better. Would be keen to get Mangala back if recovers from nasty injury - the rest I wouldn’t keep (other than signing Alcaraz permanently)

3.) 26 Mar 2025 19:48:18
I'd like to see Fellows join and the Georgian fella from Watford looks good. Go a out for Angel Gomes on a free from Lille . I can see a few shrewd signings of players we probably never heard of too, s bit like Fellaini. As per usual, if we signed everyone we linked with, we'd have a bigger squad than chelsea.

4.) 27 Mar 2025 14:13:53
Agree dan we need to try and move away from players over 30 am not saying experience is not needed but are transfer recruitment over last 4 years has been piss poor apart from Ndiaye pickford tarks onana who was here rest havnt stood up for me even are loan recruitment has been piss poor we have dcl who looks like he's leaving on a free shoudnt never happen this should of been addressed during start of season and if he didn't want to sign should of sold him i do think with moyes back and new board and new stadium on the horizon i think we will see a rainbow at the end but god that's years away ??.

5.) 27 Mar 2025 15:11:33
He is the only one I've suggested over 30, if all our players were young we'd struggle again. Experience here and there is needed.

{Ed025's Note - i agree BB..

6.) 27 Mar 2025 17:45:41
Over 30 is not old anymore, especially someone like him. He is fit as a butchers dog. Knows Moyes well.

Personally I would rather target other players but if he comes I wouldn’t be upset by it.

7.) 28 Mar 2025 09:41:14
BB wasn’t criticising your list, I was just asking why you’d want a 33yr old Coufal as a signing?

I’ve put up a reason why I wouldn’t want him, just interested to see what your reasoning for signing him would be?

8.) 28 Mar 2025 10:03:17
I read someone say that Grealish was too old at 29 as well yesterday lol. Not sure about this fascination with age but I’m definitely in agreement with Bunkbeds regards to needing a mix of both experience and youth. AY, IG and SC were also 33 years ago. IG arguably our best player under the new DM regime.

17 Feb 2025 20:03:00
If Man Utd put the same team out next week we have to fancy our chances.

Bunkbeds

1.) 17 Feb 2025 20:44:05
Definitely, think we can beat most teams right now with the form we’re in.

2.) 17 Feb 2025 21:00:36
Utd are dreadful, I cannot remember a time when I thought a loss to them at home would be an awful result - but it really would.

3.) 17 Feb 2025 22:03:08
We could be up to the dizzy heights of 12th place in the table with another win this weekend.

4.) 17 Feb 2025 23:53:35
Anything could happen in that game, we’re on a run, but they’re due for and desperate for a win.

5.) 18 Feb 2025 03:09:21
I've now got a stiff neck from looking up instead of down the table ?

As sad as it will be to leave the Grand Old Lady, what an exciting future is starting to unfold before us. Being a lifelong Evertonian though. I am waiting for something to go wrong ?

UTFT NSNO IMWT.

6.) 18 Feb 2025 12:45:51
It’s not often we’re above utd and there’s nothing stopping us from beating them.

13 Feb 2025 10:53:28
Liverpool hold many records and trophies over us. Last nights 98min scorcher was epic in it's timing, the occasion and importantly meant our Goodison Derby record did not end up as
Everton wins 41
Liverpool wins 42
I would have hated them having that over us forever.
We stopped them winning the league at Goodison last season, and hopefully dented their title challenge this season.

It's another point closer to Prem survival hopefully and starting our new adventure in the top flight next season.

Bunkbeds

10 Feb 2025 21:08:21
Some very good potential free agents at the end of the season worth looking at.
Lamptey
Mitchell
Walker-Peters
A. Gomes
Jorginio
Schar

Also good young players
Jobe Bellingham
Fellows
Sam Tickle (gk)
Dewsbury-hall
Chuckuembu

If Alcaraz impresses then get in on a permanent, maybe Lindstrom.

Need that 15-20 goal striker every team is looking for.

Bunkbeds

1.) 10 Feb 2025 21:32:09
Would love Gomes Bunks. Quality player.

2.) 10 Feb 2025 22:23:28
They’d all warrant a place in our current squad.

3.) 11 Feb 2025 12:14:51
I did wonder if Mitchell was within our grasp. I'd imagine quite a few are eyeing him up. I'd be delighted if we got him.
Everyone else on that list look appealing, Moyes loves a bargain also.

4.) 11 Feb 2025 12:29:34
Any frees will be well monitored, there’ll be plenty across Europe too and we’ll be an attractive option to many. Quote an exciting summer in theory.

A big part of having a superior stadium in financial terms means we should be in a stronger position to meet higher wages for our TOP players.
Considering DCL and Doucoure as probably leaving that free's up £220-240,000 a week.

Once up and running BMD is gunna be a winner, would like the owners to get an NFL game up there, concerts etc. England men will play at Wembley but good to get the Women playing at our place as well. Good for the club, Brand and income.
