John Textor in to buy Everton. net worth £3.4 billion according to Forbes. & more interestingly being a cousin of the family he is officially an extended member of the very wealthy DuPont Family who have an estimated wealth of £18 billion!
This is quite something, this guy has been saying nice things about our club since day 1 and seems to get us, really hope the takeover now goes through ?.

Small matter of his 45% stake in Crystal Palace to sort out first.

He won’t be taking us over anytime soon if ever.

2.) 09 Aug 2024 22:17:14
I think if it’s true that he’s bid for Everton then he is confident now of selling his stake/ share of Place to someone, he’s already turned some bids down so something must be in the pipeline soon for him to now make a bid for us I think!

3.) 10 Aug 2024 07:20:59
Looks very likely as he has had 3 offers for his shares but will float them on the stock exchange this could happen.

4.) 10 Aug 2024 08:45:11
Fingers crossed for a speedy resolution, GB.
These guys must have see the almost finished stadium and realised that it’s a no brainier.

5.) 10 Aug 2024 13:47:05
Trying to contact my cousins Elvis, last time I was in contact they worked at the Ford factory in Halewood. Hopefully they have amassed enough of a fortune to help me put in a bid, unfortunately they are Liverpool supporters.

31 Jul 2024 23:07:40
Ramon Sosa the latest player to be linked. this would be some signing as he is the next big thing. has a touch of young Ronaldo about him. for me a much more exciting option than Gnonto from Leeds. but time will tell. Chelsea also interested apparently.

Elvis48

1.) 01 Aug 2024 06:52:31
Another left winger? Difficult to get a work permit? Only us and Forest competing for his signature at 24…

I just don’t see it happening Elvis. Plus, we really need a striker so we can actually score goals and maybe win some games.

2.) 01 Aug 2024 17:29:44
So we will have three left wingers. But to be fair two of them don’t dribble past players so….

3.) 01 Aug 2024 22:20:17
He can play in a few positions across the forward line. LW, RW and CF according to one article I read yesterday.

27 Jul 2024 15:19:05
Deal agreed now for Jake O'brian according to Fabrizio Romano. if personal terms can be agreed with OL then a medical will take place next couple of days.

Elvis48

1.) 27 Jul 2024 15:49:40
Getting a decent little squad together ?.

2.) 27 Jul 2024 15:58:00
Just saw this, which makes me wonder if braithwaite is off, we don't need 4 centre backs, but if we know one think dyche knows how to find centre back gems.

3.) 27 Jul 2024 16:20:01
I think he may be Bluepasty. Why else would we be signing him. Unless (hope beyond all hope) Keane or Holgate are off….

4.) 27 Jul 2024 16:54:58
Both hopefully Swinners let them go for free, save on wages.

5.) 27 Jul 2024 17:00:03
Having three good quality CBs would be great so let’s hope Keane and/ or Holgate are off. Either way, having a cost effective replacement ready for Branthwaite is good business.

6.) 27 Jul 2024 19:20:25
Don’t see why bringing this lad in means Branthwaite is going. What it will do is provide solid competition, while allowing us to let Keane and Holgate go.

{Ed025's Note - well it looks like it to me NFM, i dont think he is coming here to warm the bench mate, i think Jarrad has burnt his bridges here somewhat and as much as i like the guy if he really wants to go then lets take the money and move on i say..

7.) 27 Jul 2024 19:41:22
It doesn’t definitely mean that, but it’d be a reasonable assumption. Are we spending 20 million on a bench warmer?

8.) 27 Jul 2024 20:24:58
Maybe it could be a change in tactics and 3 at the back.

Do think Jarrad will go tho, just glad that the club are getting a young decent replacement in early.

{Ed025's Note - my sentiments exactly Mocker..

9.) 27 Jul 2024 22:00:46
Is there a chance Tarks’ injury is worse than the club are letting on?

10.) 27 Jul 2024 22:19:49
Could easily be a replacement for Tarkowski who isn’t getting any younger.

{Ed025's Note - but probably our best player last season NFM..

11.) 27 Jul 2024 22:34:47
There is talk of Tarks broken foot.

{Ed025's Note - oh right, never heard that mate..

12.) 27 Jul 2024 23:23:14
Hmmm there you go, it just feels like all is not right with Tarks.

13.) 28 Jul 2024 00:40:01
It could just be smart recruitment and planning ahead. I know that is hard to believe, especially given how inept and amateur we have been in recent years.

I think JB only goes if we get offered silly money.

He will have another decent season and then will leave for a better side than Utd.

O'Brien will be bedded in then and on we go.

14.) 28 Jul 2024 09:59:21
Tarks was at the fight last night and looked fine. Definitely no broken foot.

15.) 28 Jul 2024 10:18:19
My hope is we are just building for the future with a third solid CB and JB is untested without Tarks beside him and Tarks is definitely the leader at the back
I also feel the wages is likely more the agent pushing

Time will tell.

16.) 28 Jul 2024 11:14:32
Totally agree Welsh about JB without Tarks, who is and has been even in his Burnley days vastly underrated, JB has a lot to thank his progress for imo.

17.) 28 Jul 2024 12:45:26
I don't think Utd can actually afford JB unless they sell a few players oh how the mighty have fallen lol. Tarks has been an awesome signing reminds me of Jags gives his all every game.

18.) 29 Jul 2024 22:41:25
Could O’Brien be a Godfrey replacement?

{Ed025's Note - he could be BR but imo he will be replacing Jarrad mate, it might not be in this window but i think thats the long term plan..

23 Jul 2024 20:36:33
Lindstrom loan deal just agreed with Napoli, player now on his way over for medical apparently! (fabrizio)

Elvis48

1.) 23 Jul 2024 22:58:11
I think it’s a loan with an obligation to buy for £25m next season, which I think means we still have a loan space left, probably for Phillips.

2.) 24 Jul 2024 00:33:23
I hope it’s only an option and not an obligation because he was truly awful last season and prior to that he hasn’t exactly set the world alight. Let’s hope thelwell has found a gem but his track record doesn’t leave much hope!

3.) 24 Jul 2024 07:54:03
Think its a win win situation with current financial situation if he has good season we can activate his 25 mil buyout clause that's if he wants join us permanently if he doesn't perform well then again we have the option to send him back but i havnt seen him play but i have seen few posts on here saying he was good at frankfurt prior moving to napoli so if we can get him in the same rhythm when he was at frankfurt than happy days.

4.) 24 Jul 2024 10:17:33
The Italians league has never been a great measure for players in the prem so hoping he is a player more suited to the here. Have not seen a lot of him, but he was a rookie of the year in the bundesliga so must have had something.

5.) 24 Jul 2024 14:34:48
3mill euro loan fee
22mill euro OPTION to buy.

6.) 24 Jul 2024 15:54:02
Good deal.

7.) 25 Jul 2024 15:28:11
Will he actually get a game under Dyche. His favorite pets McNiel and Harrison Come first.

8.) 26 Jul 2024 13:06:42
He can play 10 and both wings Tez - I’d hope he would get some game time and allow for rotation between the positions.

16 Jul 2024 11:10:49
Gareth Southgate has resigned as England manager! Well, fair play to him, despite all of the criticism he recieved, he still did a really great job for me. especially when you think about where England were when he first took over and where they are now. The way in which he changed the culture within the dressing room and the way in which he constantly promoted the young players into the squad deserves much praise and applause ? He tried his best, but only just fell short at the last hurdle. Good luck to him, and good luck to his successor. only hope the FA have the balls to make a bold move for Pep Guadiano as I think he is the only one who could turn this young talented team of players into tournament winners. Unlikely though I think, Eddie Howe probably will be the choice.

Elvis48

{Ed025's Note - i have read that Sean Dyche is in the frame Elvis..

1.) 16 Jul 2024 11:25:12
Klopp.

2.) 16 Jul 2024 11:44:33
Potter I reckon.

3.) 16 Jul 2024 12:04:31
Really Ed…Dyche in the frame? So we might end up with Southgate then ?.

{Ed025's Note - lets bloody hope not Elvis.. :)

4.) 16 Jul 2024 12:09:42
That would be typical Everton to appoint Southgate!

5.) 16 Jul 2024 12:29:14
Sean not going anywhere.

{Ed002's Note - Well, at least not to England.}

6.) 16 Jul 2024 12:54:34
More chance Elvis turning up and getting the job than dyche.

7.) 16 Jul 2024 12:55:19
Can't see the FA entertaining Dyche if the plan is to play more attracvtive, progressive football with young players. Potter makes sense. Lee Carsley would also make sense as that's the model they've been peddling for the last 12 years.

{Ed002's Note - I would expect The FA to ask Newcastle for permission to talki with Howe in the first instance.}

8.) 16 Jul 2024 13:22:51
No chance it’ll be Sean. I would love Carsley to get it.

9.) 16 Jul 2024 14:01:13
I can see Eddie Howe in the role. Popular, good with the media, sets teams up to play attacking football. Maybe he could get Trippier to take a decent free kick or corner.

10.) 16 Jul 2024 16:33:50
I'd swap SD 4 GS all day long. LEE C should get it as that's the structure but this is England and we'll make a mess of it and go for a hotshot. Expect all the big dogs to turn it down. Give LC the nations league as trials. But common sense is in short supply.

11.) 16 Jul 2024 17:24:09
Really FBS? Really…?

12.) 16 Jul 2024 18:25:18
& what exactly you basing your swap opinion on FBS? Southgate did nothing at Middlesbrough, spent last 8 years with the best talent in the country and not had to manage daily nor under circumstances Dyche as had to endure.

13.) 16 Jul 2024 18:55:14
Howe if he wants it. Otherwise Potter.

14.) 16 Jul 2024 19:05:25
It be carsley I reckon.

15.) 16 Jul 2024 20:14:17
Graham potter imo. Purely as he is available and not tied into a long contract like Howe.

Wouldn't be opposed to Carsley, doubt he gets a look in tho.

16.) 16 Jul 2024 20:19:29
Dunno mocker southgate come from under 21 and look spain there manager only managed spain youth.

17.) 16 Jul 2024 22:33:05
Ed you made a comment gone unnoticed, Sean at least not to England. Are you expecting Dyche to be moved on?

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know BT but i think he probably deserves a chance to see if he can elevate this team in the near future, if things dont go well early doors though i can see him being replaced to be honest, these new owners will want to see results and with the investment put in who can blame them?, if things dont go well by Christmas I can see a Santa syndrome and him possibly getting the sack..

18.) 17 Jul 2024 09:31:23
As long as the new owners are able to have a replacement lined up, I’d agree Ed25. We can’t be doing with the indecisive decisions of the past which left us scraping the barrel in the last chance saloon. Give Dyche until Christmas to show what he can do but don’t then axe him without a credible plan to replace him.

{Ed002's Note - The new owners have been taking advice over Dyche, so we will see.}

Would love to see Carsley get the jog if Dyche is sacked. Like what I've been reading about him, possession focused and tactical in his approach. the fact he's still young and thirsty to progress and also knows the club having played for us should put him top of the pile in my humble opinion. Just hope England don't get to him first before it's too late!

Elvis48

1.) 06 Sep 2024 11:16:13
Let's hope England get thrashed and they don't want him.

2.) 09 Sep 2024 07:13:36
Would you be happy with Gareth southgate as manager, if you wouldnt, why would you want Lee Carsley as manager, this is what it used to be like, just picking names out a hat and hoping it works out, we want someone with pedigree not some one who u think may do a good job that's why we are in the rubbish in the first place.

24 Aug 2024 17:01:45
DYCHE OUT! No identity, no team, crap management. time for a new owner and new manager please! We all suffered long enough now!

Elvis48

1.) 24 Aug 2024 18:53:54

Sorry, couldn’t resist ?.

Welcome back David Moyes!

Elvis48

'Kalvin Phillips has agreed to join Ipswich Town. ' Good news if true, think we did well to stay clear of him!

Elvis48

1.) 15 Aug 2024 12:12:55
Yep. Not overly upset on that to be honest.

2.) 15 Aug 2024 13:46:19
Happy days if this rumour is true. Looked decent at Leeds but has had a spectacular fall from grace since. We need players that will hit the ground running not players who have been going through the motions for over a year.

3.) 15 Aug 2024 15:07:10
Totally agree blue potato
Was not someone I wanted in our team if am honest other better options out there for me
.

4.) 15 Aug 2024 20:12:46
Only Phillips seen this season in Goodison should be the one to remove the seat after the last match at the Old Lady….

02 Aug 2024 16:29:27
Don't know why, but I just have that feeling that Dan Friedkin will come back in to buy us, anyone else feel the same?

Elvis48

1.) 02 Aug 2024 21:13:57
Think the question is when is this court case hearing that will decide the 777 financials? If this case concludes in way that Everton don't have any liabilities then expect a scramble from new owners. Until then why pay over the odds for something? We need someone who's going to get us for the best possible deal. A person who's good with money and not a nut job. This won't be enjoyable from a fans point of view but that's what's got to happen. Nobody is going to rock up and pay the 1.2b to just stamp out all the fires, it ain't going to happen. I'd expect a mid season buy out hopefully in time for January window.

2.) 02 Aug 2024 22:23:35
When Friedkin got their exclusivity agreement there were other interested parties. Moshiri obviously picks the best deal for him which was 777. When that failed I imaging Friedkin was the next best solution for him. Everton still have interested buyers but it is up to Moshiri to give the next best the exclusivity agreement.
Friedkin paid off the MSP loan amongst other small loans which actually puts us in a slightly better position.
It is in the hands of Moshiri and he needs to stop playing chess and find the best buyer for us and him.
The Friedkin group will secure the stadium funding if needed but Moshiri needs to stop mismanaging this Club.

Yes he gets it wrong so badly everytime, but just imagine what a Pep Giuidiola could do with this bunch and generation of young players and talent, will be interesting to see who the FA appoint after calamity Gareth leaves his post shortly!
