Ed002 any truth we are looking to sign Kalvin Phillips?

Goodison509

{Ed002's Note - Fulham, Everton, Brentford and Ipswich have an interest at the right price.}

Ed002 do you think we will push for him? Or will he head elswhere? Where you see him going?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea where he will go but most clubs would not go anywhere near him.}

Seriously hope we don’t go for him - if we genuinely wanted him then we should have done it at the start of pre season so could have got him fit.

If we sign him now will take a while to get up to the level dyche would want.

Whilst he was excellent at Leeds he’s got nowhere near that since and he had a disastrous loan to West Ham - would be a waste of a valuable loan spot and imagine he would also be on decent wages.

Really hope the club doesn’t do this deal.

Ed002 any chance we go for ugochukwu on loan?

{Ed002's Note - Lesley Ugochukwu (DM/CM) Chelsea may be open to letting the player go on loan to get game time and improve his fitness. They would ideally like a move to a Premier League club but will want a guarantee of game time. There have been enquiries from Ipswich, Everton and Fulham.}

Interesting, ed002 how serious is arsenals interest? Where do you think he goes? Would be a brilliant move for him, be sad to see him go but probably right time and would hope and assume broja would be who we go for?

Goodison509

{Ed002's Note - I have no way to measure how "serious" interest is. Broja is likely to join Ipswich.}

Arsenal, wow, that wouod be a shock one as they are challenging for title. Ed002 are Newcastle selling Wilson then? Maybe Trippier involved in a deal, and who would we look to replace him?

Goodison509

{Ed002's Note - Wilson is injured - there is a potential to sell him when fit in a few weeks time but finding an interested club in Turkey would be an issue.

Trippier may well be an option in a part exchange.}

Ed002 who is interested in calvert lewin in this last week and would you expect manchester uniteds offer to be good enough for Branthwaite for us to accept?

Goodison509

{Ed002's Note - Dominic Calvert-Lewin (S) The second player tapped up by Steven Gerrard. The summer will be a decision point for the player who will be another the club are willing to sell in order to raise funds. Newcastle, Brentford and West Ham offer options with Newcastle pressing to sign him to replace Callum Wilson, but Everton's asking price is seen as excessive. Manchester United interest has gone. A wildcard would be Crystal Palace. Everton want to keep him but will not want to have him run down his contract.

Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) Everton want a new contract but Spurs, Manchester United and Newcastle have an interest. Ancelotti has spoken to Solari about him and scouts were sent to watch him against Newcastle, but Solari is not convinced that English players settle well on the continent. Manchester United will likely need a complete rebuild at CB with departures in the summer and so he will be a leading option but after two offers the clubs are a long way apart in valuation. Spurs have a need for a CB but have preferred options. Newcastle has a compelling need to add one or two younger CBs but a move there is very unlikely, particularly after adding Lloyd Kelly and courting Guehi. A wildcard would be Manchester City but they don't see value for money.}
