I don't know if they would sell, but given the prices being banded about for addition to our front line, I really do hope we actively consider an offer for Iven Toney, 34 goals last season, I know that it was in the championship, but at 25 years of age, seem a lot better than a 30m plus punt on a Swiss striker who will be 30 next birthday.

J. C. W.

{Ed002's Note - Ivan Toney (S) The player decided on a move to Brentford last summer instead of Swansea or Brighton. Celtic also made enquiries. After a very good season he has attracted scouts from a number of Premier League sides including Everton, Newcastle, Leicester, West Ham, Arsenal, and again Brighton. Brentford have no interest in selling but his agent has spoken with Newcastle, West Ham and with Chelsea who will need two strikers in the summer. Brentford could easily price him out of a move. Unless DCL leaves a move to Everton is unlikely.}

1.) 06 Jul 2021 16:02:03
Would rather have Ings.

2.) 06 Jul 2021 16:14:48
Ings is a quality player but to injury prone and god knows we have enough of them at are club as it is if it was me I would take a punt on terem moffi of lorient how looks a real talent.

3.) 06 Jul 2021 16:48:39
Ings has no sell on value, picks up lots of injuries and can’t play anywhere but up top.

4.) 07 Jul 2021 07:51:31
Sell Kean and get Toni

Sick of players not wanting to be at our club - James, Richarlison and Kean - happy for them all to leave

Toni and St Maximum in their place for the money

Let’s hopefully get a right back this week - needed one since Sidibe left from loan - Neither Coleman or Kenny can play there regularly this season surely.

5.) 07 Jul 2021 12:04:52
Sounds like he would be perfect for us Swan😂.

6.) 07 Jul 2021 12:51:30
How do you know the players except Keen don't want to be at the club I haven't seen a press releases from the players stating they are not happy and want to leave. I have seen media stories stating certain facts that have not been corroborated though.

7.) 07 Jul 2021 13:39:18
Well Richarlison doesn’t look interested at all at everton and James has barely played for us with long spells away from the city
Richarlison will be gone I’m sure - James needs to realise he is not a 250k a week player - I also think he will leave

I don’t rate either of them to the esteem they both think they are.

8.) 07 Jul 2021 14:01:51
£140K pw same as Gomes but both slightly better in my opinion.

9.) 07 Jul 2021 14:18:10
I do t think slightly better than Gomes is much of a compliment
I think Richarlison could be a top top player if he sorted his head - he had a lot of talent
Gomes is a shocker

I like James but I couldn’t see him playing 20-25 games in league due to fitness

I think we need players who are committed - I worry an offer may come in for Pickford.

{Ed0666's Note - I wouldn’t worry about Pickford leaving mate. You’ve got him till you want him.

10.) 07 Jul 2021 14:37:42
James stats are actually better than most think,

Squad: 24, Starting eleven: 21, Substituted in: 2, On the bench: 1, Suspended: 0, Injured: 9.

11.) 07 Jul 2021 20:21:19
No one will come in for Pickford because all the clubs above us have solid goalkeepers. The only club I can see coming in for him would be Spurs because Lloris is shocking and has been for years, but is that really a step up for Pickford? Maybe but not a big one.

05 Jul 2021 12:04:22
Lot of coverage about Richalison, " fight" to go to the Olympics. Everton have know obligation the allow this, it's not in the clubs interests, and he was told some time ago that this was a none starter.
He's a very good player, granted, but no player is bigger than the club, if they have done this under duress, a threat to leave if not allowed to go, then with the right offer he can go, we cannot be held hostage to inflated egoes.

J. C. W.

{Ed025's Note - and danny ings has just rejected a contract at saints J.C.W., would you take ings and sell richarlison mate?..

1.) 05 Jul 2021 12:11:02
It would certainly soften the blow.
Could opt for a 3-4-1-2 formation with Dom and Danny up top. Goals goals goals 👍🏻.

{Ed025's Note - i think them two up top would be a real handful JB..

2.) 05 Jul 2021 14:28:52
They’d only be a handful if we sort out the supply!

Need some creativity this season.

It now looks like nuno is nailed on for the job.
If I'm honest I never wanted him, insperational as wet fish, but what concerns me more, is the very strong suspition that this decision has been taken over the head of Brand, why would you employ someone for their expertise then substitute their opinion for your own insite, the outcome over resent times is all to apparent.

J. C. W.

{Ed002's Note - He has been the first choice of Everton and Brands is part of the decision process but it is not his decision alone - I have explained this throughout.}

1.) 11 Jun 2021 23:38:16
JCW you need to stop believing what they say on twitter bud (just how your post sounds) because Brands will have a say on the final appointment I'm sure he has to agree to it for me it's a good appointment and 18 months ago he was being labelled an excellent manager and a lot of Everton fans wanted him before Carlo was announced so I'm at a loss what has changed in those 18 months.

{Ed0666's Note - good man Moordock. Give the man a fair crack of the whip and judge him in a year.

2.) 11 Jun 2021 23:49:08
But was he Brands’ preferred choice?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea but collectively those involved had him as their first choice as you have been told over and over.}

3.) 12 Jun 2021 01:37:58
Yes nuno got the job, will be announced before Sunday i'm told . So with that in mind . what's ppls opinions on his style?

{Ed0666's Note - He has a bit of a meh style but he will give you defensive solidity and make you hard to believe. One thing you should be excited about is the young Portuguese talent that will flow through the club. You will unearth some gems that will be sold for a lot more than you buy them for. Couple this with the new stadium exciting times ahead. Wether he plays 3 centre backs or two remains to be seen?

4.) 12 Jun 2021 03:22:41
Seen a lot of negative comments about nuno because of last season but if we would of took him after his first to seasons everyone would be made up about getting him. He had 3 seasons in the prem which he’s reached Europe twice and finished 13 with a lot of injuries to the core of the squad. If we finish higher than 10th next season it’s a Improvement it will be a slower burner With him and he could steady the coils ready for the next push and I think that’s what we need at this moment in time. We’ve tried to slingshot past europa league positions straight into the cl with Carlo but that didn’t work so let’s he might be here 2-3 years steady the club and then we change for the next one to take us to the next level. You only learn from your mistakes so let’s see if the club do.

5.) 12 Jun 2021 08:19:11
Everton have been hard to believe for the last 20 years.

6.) 12 Jun 2021 10:59:15
Heres a good 4 minute video regarding Nuno and the tactics he's used at different clubs v different teams

7.) 12 Jun 2021 17:41:04
It's worrying when even a YouTube video can't make him sound like an adventurous appointment.

8.) 12 Jun 2021 23:47:52
Regarding last season . He lost Doherty to spurs . Jota to red Sh*te . And jimenez to serious injury . that was 3 major influential players . He never replaced them and with such a small squad he actually didn't do to bad .

Have just read the latest piece of nonsense by Richard Keys, the man seems obsessed in his one man vendetta against Rafa.
There has been much criticism of the brain dead nutters who have been dragging our club into disrepute over his appointment, but what is not helpful is people like Keys egging them on and giving them some kind of legitimacy.

J. C. W.

1.) 29 Jun 2021 14:55:23
i posted something few months ago about him and gray can't remember what channel they do but he was very critical of c. a and that post just hasn't suprised me again.

{Ed025's Note - they are on BEIN sports andy..

2.) 29 Jun 2021 16:37:23
A couple of has beens.

3.) 29 Jun 2021 16:00:58
ahh no worries thanks ed was boggling me brain that haha but he has been very critical of everton no idea why like but its game of opinions i guess.

4.) 29 Jun 2021 16:12:17
Is that because their both hasBEINs Ed?

{Ed025's Note - nice one woburn ..

27 Jun 2021 19:56:30
I have just read an artical in something calling its self goodison news.
Yet again, it repeats the the absolute rubbish the 80% of supporters are opposed to Rafers appointment, some are, and they are entitled to their view, but the notion that they are the the majority of supporter is sheer fiction.

J. C. W.

1.) 27 Jun 2021 20:48:58
Yeah I read that as well mate, what a load of tosh.

2.) 27 Jun 2021 20:49:05
Your basing they aren't against him on assumption as well. Your point of view is they aren't they say they are. It's just their opinion.

3.) 28 Jun 2021 05:55:33
What is it your basing your 'load of tosh' on?

Want to show us some facts.

4.) 28 Jun 2021 09:08:34
It will be 80 percent of the fans they spoke to, which could very well be deceiving. Did they say how many fans were canvassed? From the fans that I've spoken to, it's nowhere near the 80 mark but that means just as much as the original stat, I suppose!

26 Jun 2021 14:34:15
There are a number of supporter who do not want Rafa, and the are fully entitled to their opinion.
However, for the media to go about suggesting that this group are representertive of the wider supporter base is sheer invention, if he gets off to a good start (and let's all hope he dose) then that same media wii be saying what a great desicion it was and that they where always supportive of the appointment.
All you have to do is remember the sun's moto, never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

J. C. W.

24 Jun 2021 16:40:22
Our manager might be conterversal, but in relation to the Newcastle takeover, do you think the FA will see the group passing the fit and proper persons test, even if his actual name does not appear on the paper work?

J. C. W.

{Ed002's Note - An independent tribunal will decide shortly based on a statement from the PL that they did not block a move to sell last year.}

20 Jun 2021 20:58:19
I get it, that their are some supporter who passionately do not want Rafa, but the notion that there is some massive back lash amongst the majority of supporter, is a media invention, I have no way to prove this, but on the ground, from people you speak to, it is simply bull.

J. C. W.

1.) 20 Jun 2021 21:24:05
Most fans would accept Rafa being manager but my god, if he has us playing footy like Ancelotti or goes on a losing streak he'll be toast.

2.) 21 Jun 2021 07:07:52
I haven't spoken to a blue that has wanted him as manager and feel quite embarrassed that we are linked with him. Even though I hate social media, it is full of anger that he is being considered as well.

Myself if the fans were taking to the idea and we hired him, I'm all for it but when there are so many against it, it is the wrong appointment. It's a tough league to be in and if you've got the majority of fans hating him then you have to move on and get someone else.

Managers are not sacked because the fans are singing his name, they are sacked because the fans are screaming for his head on the terraces.

Carlo may not have done us many favours, but, Allan is the real deal, his industry allows the others to play.

And before Alex Fergerson came along Manchester United had not won the league in 25 years, things change, afder all, there is a club quite close by that until resently not won there own championship in 30 years, but still insisted they we a big club, so we will build for the future, rather than try and live on past glory, but then the delusional cannot be helped.

Getting shut of Brand is a good start, as was the head of sports medicine, and now we hear head of recruitment, might seem a bit drastic, but over priced players, on big contracts, that grossly under perform has been our profile for far to long, plus, when an Everton player picks up an injury, not out for 2/ 3 weeks, more like 2/ 3 months, you could put this down to bad luck, but that sought of bad luck has been going on for 2/ 3 years, at least, I don't object to people being well paid, but when you are you must expect to deliver.

If it was Brand who sanctioned 34mill for Awobi, then it's guilty as charged, yes I know he is said to be pulling up tree's in training, but if his temprement means he cannot deliver on match days then it's time for him to go.
On the open market, we would be lucky to recupe 10mill.

He needs everton consent, and, as far as I recall he has already been told he will not be going, unless some one knows different, or they are trying to suck up to him, to preventing from seeking to leave, but from what I know of Rafa pandering to egos is not his style.

Whilst everyone is intitaled to their opinion, a Very small minority of people who appose Rafers appointment are actively dragging our club into disrepute, and if any of these people are identified, they should be permently excluded from the ground.
However, those media outlets that have been propergating the lie about a wide spread backlash against the apiontment must also take some responsibility for the actions of these idiots.
