Well what we do know is non of the top 6 will play each other as our friends at the FA have already admitted keeping them apart on the opening day of the season I'm pretty sure that counts as cheating.

The fixtures aren't released until June 14th so not sure where this is all coming from. Someone joked on this site about it a couple of weeks ago so maybe that's why people have it in their head but I don't think it is true.

Just seen this post same as you bw2412 I didn't think the fixtures were out yet as Sky dedicate a full day if not more when they come out on discussing all the important games, and if we do have City we will be a changed team from last season so who knows what might happen.

Does it really matter? Yes it's likely an opening day defeat but we'd have had to play this fixture at some point.
Best to get it over with early rather than facing them mid season when relegation/ European spots are at stake and there's much higher pressure on the team.

Id also take the Brands statement about having to sell b4 buying as a
Ploy. To stop us becoming soft touch. The world known The Epl is cash rich and it now knows we've been heavily backed and like to throw it about.
I think this stance is a great move to announce we are no longer an easy pay day.
I have no doubt that we will not risk losing our key targets because we want to sell some old and rubbish players to boost the kitty 1st.
A new era of professionalism has dawned. I like FM and fully support his new vision and team.

The Echo certainly doesn't have any independent thought when it comes to EFC. Surely most know that by now?
