Reports now online that Rooney has refused to be involved in any further interview process. Don't know if it's true, but if it is, it's to his credit if he has. Our club is a complete shambles?.

1.) 27 Jan 2022 23:46:40
Or that he has some integrity and that he’s committed to the fans and his colleagues at Derby.

2.) 28 Jan 2022 05:55:40
Wayne Rooney has zero integrity I think the whole world knows that.

3.) 28 Jan 2022 07:40:27
The same rooney that dropped is boyhood club like a hot potato stays at Derby because its the right thing to do? Yes that must be what happened.

More likely he just doesn't want to swap one mess for another, it just be exhausting to be fair.

4.) 28 Jan 2022 08:53:28
Wayne Rooney has no place at our Club.

5.) 28 Jan 2022 09:16:49
Everyone walks away to Man U whether we like it or not. He could have walked away from Derby at any point, and no one would have blamed him.

6.) 28 Jan 2022 09:52:33
Rooney was sold he didn't walk away he was forced to leave as we needed the money and he was the only realistic player that could provide the money we needed. Has Rooney even been interviewed for the Everton post? Papers say he's being considered but not seen anything saying he actually been interviewed. one of the ed's may be able to confirm if he has or not.

7.) 28 Jan 2022 11:16:36
If Rooney came in he would be pulling what’s left of his hair out
Unfortunately we are not an attractive prospect to any manager as it stands
Rafa should have gone before Digne or Brands in my opinion
But our issues are not from this season alone, it’s been there to see, and we are crippled by FFP now.

8.) 28 Jan 2022 12:27:17
Cannot believe people still whinge about Rooney going to United. One they were probably the best club side on the planet at the time and secondly we desperately needed the money. Grow up.

9.) 28 Jan 2022 12:51:44
Windsor we are Evertonians the most of us old ones are bitter and twisted?.

10.) 28 Jan 2022 12:57:49
Totally agree Windsor, we had little cash and that 30mil gave us stability, plus ghe likes of Cahill, Arteta, Lescott, jags, Yak, Baines Howard, Neville came in on the back of that cash and stability over the next couple seasons.

11.) 28 Jan 2022 14:44:02
He likes his windows. Good choice in this toxic era, probably the best decision he's ever made. Hope he keeps Derby up and progresses as a manager. We will undoubtedly be in this circus of fan power again in 12 months or less. And News now and Twitter will push him into contention once again.

12.) 28 Jan 2022 15:39:50
We approached Rooney and he turned us down, there you go Mr Moshri how embarrassing is that, Rooney . Still giving priority to 'advisors' advice after that snub. When are you going to wake up.

12 Jul 2021 12:08:22
Ed 2 Any truth in that we are looking at Koulibally again. I know he is class, but you put that against his age, price and wages, together with the way Naples seem to conduct their business (stringing you along as long as possible in the hope they get a better offer) . Is it really worth the effort considering we are supposed to be reducing wage bill?

{Ed002's Note - Kalidou Koulibaly (CB) Bayern Munich have put in an offer for KK that is much less (about half) than Napoli's valuation of €50M but financial issues may see Napoli reduce their asking price and to ask for offers from elsewhere which is what Napoli have done with his agent. Everton still have an interest even though CA has noved on but the interest of Real Madrid will likely of shifted as they have other targets. The interest of Liverpool, PSG, Manchester City and Manchester United has likely gone due to his age and whilst there is no doubt about how good he is, but €50M for a 30 year old would not seem like good business. Perhaps at half that price he would be a good solution.}

Thanks ed.

Looking ahead at the fixture list, after the Norwich game, I can't see us winning a game until after Christmas.

We are not creating enough clear chances.
Statistics said we had 24 chances on Saturday, but I was there and most of them were just half chances at best.
We need to attack down the flanks and move the defenders about with better / quicker movement. I know its easier saying than achieving but we haven't got a 20+ goals a season striker, so the more real chances we can create the more we are likely to put away.

1.) 12 Nov 2019 08:38:08
i think we are creating enough chances, our players just aren't finishing them look back at the brighton and burnley games we had chances to kill it off, same on saturday, against manchester city mina should have had a hattrick and against spurs we should have had penalties its difficult.

2.) 12 Nov 2019 09:07:14
As WBlue is saying capitalising on our 'real' chances is the key plus var decisions going in our favour and we could gain more points than perhaps our current PL place suggests .
However we do have company, as there are others in this predicament .
As I have already said December does look a challenge though LHR.

3.) 12 Nov 2019 09:10:14
I don’t think we are quick enough, we mess about with the ball across the back four then into midfield then back to the back four. We need to be like Leicester more direct.

4.) 12 Nov 2019 11:06:46
oh yeah don't get me wrong dollo, sometimes its the worst attacking side in the world going fullback to fullback side to side.

5.) 12 Nov 2019 11:47:09
I can see 15 points by 1st Jan.

6.) 12 Nov 2019 12:55:16
Thats right Nick 'impossible' 😑 just doesn't exist in 'Toffee Vocabulary' does it mate 😜.

7.) 12 Nov 2019 19:39:53
The impossible we can do Blue. Its the miracles that take a little longer 😑.

8.) 12 Nov 2019 21:32:29
Our form is picking up so let's hope we are peaking at the right time.

9.) 13 Nov 2019 10:44:23
@Nick, Lol love it mate 😀 😉.

10.) 13 Nov 2019 16:28:23
Like I have said many times. people miss the point. whilst we are struggling in front of goal, we seem to have say 65% possession, a few shots on goal and then concede after giving away a stupid free kick or a misplaced pass in defence. Then you can see the confidence just drain away. It is no surprise to me that we have not come from behind under Silva to win a game. We need to be more solid in defence before thinking about scoring more. We concede on average a couple of goals a game. So we already need 2 or 3 goals just to get a draw. never mind a win. We had the same last season but by the end we tightened up. I am not sure why we are so panicky and soft at the back but outfield onwards we look ok.

11.) 13 Nov 2019 16:43:13
I have mentioned ''clean sheets'' or solid defence too Degsy, they are the foundations needed to progress, and both Pep and Jurgen learnt that the PL attacking standards called for good defenders and they ''both'' obeyed this demand .

12.) 13 Nov 2019 20:21:00
We create plenty of chances. If we were even moderately clinical this season, we'd be sitting in 5th with a cushion. The league is bang-average and on our day we can play with anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if we won, lost, or drew any individual match.

13.) 14 Nov 2019 15:51:49
We do make a lot of individual errors, which is difficult to blame silva for. I would also say watching Liverpool and city that as an 11 they seem to work harder than us. I have no stats to back this up but just what it seems to my eye. They consistently press harder, and I don't just mean tactics wise. I mean the players when they press go harder than we do, a lot of ours seem to be going through the motions off the ball.

14.) 14 Nov 2019 16:29:50
I agree with you Toffe Dave they do press harder much harder then we do and they all do it the same way and when they don’t think about it they are in with purpose straight away they are obviously trained to do this because they all do it the same way, I mentioned in an early post that Liverpool press so hard and fast they are sometimes an infringement on the opposing player.

15.) 14 Nov 2019 21:34:32
Sorry coyb79, but not confident about winning any match at the moment because our approach play is so slow, we are not making defences work hard enough/ turning defenders often enough to create REAL chances.

If we had a top class finisher to put away the half chances we are getting it could be a different story.
But its a catch 22 situation no top striker is going to come to us until we start winning and looking like European probables.

Forget previous post fat fingers sent it too early.

13 Feb 2022 05:12:04
Great performance, as long as we play like that every home game with that support mid table finish no problem.
Though I do have a gripe from yesterday MotD bias.
Man City win 4-0 - 10 min match, 6min analsys/ interviews. EFC 3-0 - 8min match, 4min a&i. ManU 1-1 10min match 10min a+I.
I know they are only allowed to show a certain amount of time on each game, but 10 mins anali.

07 Feb 2022 16:39:07
Tongue slightly in cheek, but how about Marc Overmars as DOF, just don't let him join what's app groups!

{Ed0666's Note - or near any women

01 Feb 2022 04:40:17
Whether Alli gets back to his best form or not. A few on here need to thank Bill for getting that deal across the line. Nothing to pay until a least next season. Thanks Bill.

1.) 01 Feb 2022 05:44:19
Thanks to our overlord.

29 Jan 2022 14:43:22
Has Moshri taken over the management of these pages. As whatever page I try to post on of late ends up on a different page and this includes replies to other posts becoming a new strain?

{Ed0666's Note - Moshiri masquerades as Eds 025 while he’s not making a pigs ear of running Everton

1.) 29 Jan 2022 15:00:11
Could have sworn it was Ed 18's.

2.) 29 Jan 2022 15:27:19
I thought it was you Ed66, making mischief as usual?.

Yes we're all guessing Ed 25, because our useless club can't do anything right, and decide to annouce/ leak offer to the press instead of signed, sealed delivered his ours.
If we are lucky Frank will probably be our last minute signing on Monday night.

{Ed025's Note - well this regime starts with a clean slate for me Lhr, i will get behind frank and any other recruits for as long as they give their all mate..

No problem with this, but why are we told this and not a yes or no from Frank. Is this how we now handling our business. Get it done then announce it, don't trickle don't have candidates ring the press and try and sell themselves. NSNO?.

No problem with him being offered job. But why is that the and not him accepting or refusing job. Is this how we are conducting all our business now?
Via twitter etc.

God I'm too old for all this! Give me the old days when we didn't know owt about any deal until it was over the line.

Unfortunately the club has got themselves into this FFP nightmare, and with player power, we cannot just get rid of players (Tosun/ Ramierez) anyway, so we are stuck with them until their contract ends or unless somebody else wants a "bottler"

I reckon we need to look at Leeds, they have got a bad few gamesto go yet. But we will need to find 7+ points from somewhere.

18 times!

{Ed0666's Note - is it true you do t pay a penny unless he plays 20 games? So if he’s crap do you just keep him hovering on 19 games for the rest of his contract??

We knew that any team that wants it enough would be good enough to beat our midfield atm we are on the bare bones. Hope VDB can tackle because he is going to need to b4 Doucore gets fit.
I think we are going to have to rely on our home matches and the support that can bring if we are going to get away from relegation dog fight.
Survival is Frank's target, do that and hopefully reset for next season. Hopefully DCL and a few others will be fit by then.
Think Frank might have to look into a front 2 or other options as Ricky is not a lone striker and wasted in that position in Premiership.

I agree geoffjohno, we have made a couple of great signings, but the back line has been porous this season, and we have not brought in anybody to cover that area or a "Gueye" type player to protect that area with injuries to Doucore and Allan and the later probably off back to Italy at the end of the season. With the run of games we have at the end of the season we need to start winning quickly and that is going to add to the pressure if we don't.
Every supporter has get behind them for 95minutes of every game, and not slag off players for mistakes during the game. COYB.
