Rumours circulating that Slaven Bilic will be next manager?!

1.) 15 Jan 2022 22:18:50
God help us.

2.) 15 Jan 2022 22:21:05
So far out of left field that one.

3.) 15 Jan 2022 22:22:29
I'd take him - got experience and won't take nonsense from players. Did ok at West Ham and West Brom.

4.) 15 Jan 2022 22:24:32
Don't be daft lad.

5.) 15 Jan 2022 22:38:51
Please NO.

6.) 15 Jan 2022 22:41:03
Here comes the crazies.

7.) 15 Jan 2022 23:04:09
Been drinking cookie?

8.) 15 Jan 2022 23:25:02
Just heard ed002 rumoured for new Everton job.

9.) 16 Jan 2022 00:22:01
Bilic is just a mercenary, always said he was injured when he played for us (and wasn't)

10.) 16 Jan 2022 09:03:21
I don't know the answer, just like the board don't know the answer. But one thing I do know is, the chairman / owners are the generals and the manager is the battlefield commander, and the captain leads them into battle on the pitch. At the moment none are functioning, for me it's the generals that need to steady the ship firstly, as it is we are just throwing battlefield commanders to their death and the soldiers are running around leaderless! It starts at the top and filters down, morale is an all time low, its a flashback to those 90s teams when we saved ourselves last match! We need to steady plan, at the moment we are just throwing dice and hoping we're lucky. I'd put big Dunc in charge for now and try get Brighton Graham Potter (if he'd want to come)

11.) 16 Jan 2022 18:37:41
What is the definition of doing ok? ??‍♂️.

{Ed025's Note - not getting relegated..

Rumour making the rounds today is if the board decide to sack Benitez, they will move for Mourinho. Not sure what's stupider, the rumour or our board if it's true.

1.) 05 Dec 2021 11:07:29
Why just why. Hope it's a wind up.

2.) 05 Dec 2021 11:39:34
Well if they do then they have definitely learned nothing.

3.) 05 Dec 2021 12:03:27
Worst rumour for a while that.

4.) 05 Dec 2021 13:16:27
Talk of the Denmark manager being targeted. But in all honesty its no wonder we are screwed regarding ffp. It's all these managers we paying off after a few months in job. If rafa is given the boot then rubbish big Dunc in again and see how players react to him. Kadt time they ran and fought like warriors for him.

Conflicting reports today say Everton have made an initial £17M bid for Correa, but other sources say it's Arsenal with the same amount. Either way it's not enough, apparently. Just goes to show you have to take all this gossip with a pinch of salt.

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal made a very low offer.}

1.) 06 Aug 2021 15:32:18
Hopefully some players in before end of window Ed.

From £35 million butt of the jokes to overnight Everton legend. Alexander Iwobi take a bow. Made up for him. Few more of those in the next 10 games and I'll carve his statue myself!

1.) 17 Mar 2022 23:46:09
Bought my lad an Iwobi poster for Xmas as a joke.
He stuck it up on his wall before he went to bed.

2.) 18 Mar 2022 16:31:09
Steady on - Iwobi… Legend…

We’re not out of this mess yet! If he nets the winner on the last game of the season to keep us up then he’ll join the ranks of Stuart and Horne but in the meantime let’s see what happens.

30 Jan 2022 12:51:30
So assuming Van De Beek has agreed to come on loan, are we in a position financially to get anyone else in this window, time permitting of course? Would for example Loftus Cheek be out of our price range, or Dele Alli? Or do we definitely need to sell first? I Still think we need a CB going forward or Lampard is going to have the same problems as the previous managers. Need a striker who can actually score too, but here's hoping Dobbin can fill that role.

1.) 30 Jan 2022 13:09:03
We could look at buying, but by splitting the payments over years.

2.) 30 Jan 2022 14:10:04
Doesn't really help though does it.

3.) 30 Jan 2022 15:52:02
Doesn’t matter if it keeps us in this league. Because the other option would be a disaster.

It seems clear that in the search for a new manager, we are skint so we certainly won't be poaching any other teams manager like Moshiri did with Silva or Koeman, but scrabbling around in the shallow pool of currently unemployed managers. If Moshiri has chosen Pereira, you have to wonder what his checklist of credibility looks like. Of the managers available, assuming the likes of Fonseca wouldn't touch us with a bargepole, or Pulis, Fat Sam etc are too old school, old fashioned and unpopular, then it really must be that the best choice at this moment in time would be Lampard. He wouldn't be my choice of we had more options, but right now at least he has Prem and English football experience, has passion and enthusiasm to almost Dunc-like levels, recognises talent in youth and has a respect, pedigree and reputation as a player that the squad can't help but acknowledge. It's only a few more selling points than Rooney, but Charisma goes a long way in a 'manager bump' for a team facing a relegation scrap and Lamps has plenty of that. I'm not saying he's the long term answer, but of the options out there, we could do a lot worse, and probably will knowing our board. If we were to take a punt on an up and coming manager to create a club identity, well I'd go for Steve Cooper. He might look like a sleepy pickled egg, but he's had a great impact at the clubs he's worked at so far and Forest especially play some pretty good football.

1.) 26 Jan 2022 15:20:07
1.Do you think Lee carsley has enough experience to do the job. ?
2. If yes, would the FA Pemit him to take it. ?
3.ed25, would you be in favour, given the alternatives we are currently being prosented with.

{Ed025's Note - 1..i would say yes
2..i cant think why not
3..i would be very much in favour

16 Jan 2022 09:34:43
Just heard a rumour that Moshiri's neighbour has recommended their milkman for the job. He'd be ideal, as he's used to dealing with bottlers.

17 Oct 2021 16:35:29
Keep hearing that in training most of the Everton players rate Iwobi as one of the best amongst them in the squad technically and ability wise. Why then when he actually gets on the pitch does he play like the back end of a panto horse?

1.) 18 Oct 2021 17:25:17
From the union of panto horses.
Any more çomparisons like that we will sue.

With our luck Moshiri will sell up to a wealthy, charming and sophisticated reclusive billionaire who lives on a secluded island in a hollowed out volcano. We'll do really well for half a season until it all comes crashing down thanks to a bitter Chelsea fan by the name of James Bond. Bill will still be on the Everton board, but also in SPECTRE. This is no more far fetched than anything that we've been through in the last 5 years.

Unless he's 30+, demanding a zillion a week and already on a stretcher, he's of no interest to Everton.

Jose isn't doing well at Roma and is moaning about his lack of squad depth there. I'm sure he'd love to come to Everton to dip his hands into the toolkit of mainly spanners.

And after convincing him to stay, they've now gone and signed another RB.

Mykolenko is looking much better too, as he is quick, tenacious and a tidy player as well. He may look slight of build but he's got a good engine and isn't afraid to get stuck in. He's looking like a decent acquisition.

He usually plays well for Nigeria too, as well as described by other team mates as the best in training. Don't know what Frank has said to him, but long may it continue. Hope he can match this level in forthcoming away games.

With that Kind of assessment, Big Sam is also statistically the greatest England Manager in history.

Make no mistake, Pereira will be offered more money than he has ever been offered before to take the Everton job. Of course he wants it and is willing to prostrate himself on Sky to help ensure it happens.

Incidentally if you rearrange the letters of Lucien Favre you get "Cure Fan Evil" - just sayin'.
