I see this rumour circulating again this could be our Marquee signing realistically a loan deal with an obligation to buy duller 2025. IMO player would return to club I believe.
1.) 06 Jul 2024 09:57:23
Who is the player?
2.) 06 Jul 2024 12:21:31
Sorry Ron Richardson my apologies and as short term Replacement if JB Goes matts hummells on a free transfer I rate him high.
3.) 06 Jul 2024 12:50:09
No worries lol. who is Richardson I don't think I know him ? hummells is quality though but getting on.
4.) 06 Jul 2024 15:00:03
Who does Ron Richardson play for?
5.) 06 Jul 2024 15:29:46
I think he means Richarlison.
6.) 06 Jul 2024 19:14:00
Think they probably know that:)
7.) 07 Jul 2024 00:48:08
Googled him he plays in France but is a midfielder not a CB amir Richardson and we have been linked with him ?.
8.) 07 Jul 2024 03:15:05
Predictive text as I don’t believe there would be any major issues between us and Richarlson. From stories going around they would even terminate his contract to get him off wage bill.
9.) 07 Jul 2024 10:10:58
Levy will not pay 60m for a player then terminate his contract.
10.) 07 Jul 2024 12:23:53
That would be PSR suicide, letting a player go for nothing when he's still valued at 30mill easily.
11.) 07 Jul 2024 21:05:47
It was a story on one of them dodgy websites which should be taken with a pinch of salt. Does anyone really believe that Levy would let 60m go down the drain? Doesn't make sense. It was the view of some scout that used to work for us a while back, Bryan King or something like that, and his predictions that I've seen have been so wide of the mark for months. Times must be hard and the 20 quid he gets per article must be needed, he can't stop talking about us!

What’s people’s thoughts about new season and are realistic expectations for final league position
I think we could be genuine contenders for top 6 and possibly European football
And I hope we will take both domestic cup competitions serious playing strongest team we can.
{Ed025's Note - i think we should walk before we try to run Sean, i want us to get to safety first and foremost then take it from there mate, it looks like we may be bedding in a few players and it may take time for them to gel so its a bit of an unknown quantity to start with, of course i would like you to be right but i dont want to put the mockers on it..
1.) 07 Jul 2024 20:12:21
Sean I have to love your optimism, but that’s a bit mad, top 6! Let’s see, progress is key, top half would be good, but key thing is scoring more goals.
2.) 07 Jul 2024 20:43:07
There’s more than 6 better squads than ours on paper. I’d be delighted with top half and a cup run next season, tighten up the finances, and strengthen again next summer and who knows from there.
3.) 07 Jul 2024 20:57:54
Top 6 is a tall order and, as ed025 says, it could take a while for new players to bed in. Success this season shouldn't just be judged on what happens on the pitch, the work done behind the scenes to get rid of players on big contracts that won't play is also key. We need to get to the magic 40 points mark, although that's not always needed these days, and then reassess our goals once we get there. Top 6 would be nice but I think it's a bit unrealistic given how the last couple of seasons have panned out for us. We can live in hope though.
4.) 07 Jul 2024 21:11:34
I think that we should expect mid-table, anything above that would be nice but the most important thing is to be safe from relegation all season long and play football that we can be happy to watch. The new players look good on paper but are unproven in our squad, they will need time to bed in and it will take another couple of windows to get rid of the underachieving high earners.
{Ed025's Note - i think so too Mike..
5.) 07 Jul 2024 21:18:32
Mid table would be excellent mate.
6.) 07 Jul 2024 22:25:43
Give me mid table and no more point deductions anyday of the week considering we have been flirting with relegation for the last 4 years top 6 got not chance but mid table i would take all day knowing that were safe with 9 games to go touch wood.
{Ed025's Note - i would bite your arm off for that andy..
7.) 07 Jul 2024 23:02:16
Now now ed 025 anyone else's arm of course haha.
{Ed025's Note - of course andy...im not Suarez you know mate.. :)
8.) 07 Jul 2024 23:20:15
Top 6 that’s ambitious to say the least I’d say we just need to avoid relegation anything else is a brucie bonus.
9.) 08 Jul 2024 03:18:05
If we can be safe by January I'd be happy. finish between 8-12 would represent a massive step forward.
If we go into BMD as a stable club looking up instead of down then we become a more attractive club to better players.
Top 6 hopefully within 5 years would be a great achievement as long as we balance the books and stay within budgets.
So good to be positive after the last few seasons.
NSNO UTFT.
10.) 08 Jul 2024 09:35:47
Let’s say top ten then. Let’s be a little bit positive eh.
11.) 08 Jul 2024 10:34:56
With the football we currently play we can expect nothing higher than 12th. If SD changes it up a little, which I very much doubt, then with a bit more attacking if we recruit well for it, then I’d like to say top half wouldn’t be out of the question.
Right now we have zero pace going forward so realistically, as the saying goes…
You can only make broth with the bones you have got.
12.) 08 Jul 2024 12:30:19
Fair assessment Ace.
I think now that there seems to be a bit more flexibility with incomings and outgoings we will see a different dynamic to the side and Dyche can put his stamp on it.
I remember his earlier Burnley sides having a fair bit about them tbh. Certainly more than what we have had to watch recently.
We have already added a midfield ball carrier in young Tim. Ndiaye can carrry it well as well and looks to be a decent dribbler. If links with this Philogene are accurate, I think we will be pleasantly surprised at how we approach games next season.
13.) 08 Jul 2024 14:42:33
Is a prediction the same as a hope?
I hope for a challenge to the top 10 with some mildly entertaining Saturdays and Square pegs in square holes. I won't depress myself with my prediction but it's no where as optimistic as any of the above/ below. I expect a bump of realism soon enough. So many things to fall into place it's just impossible to do anything but dream before the nightmare comes.
14.) 08 Jul 2024 14:44:59
I reckon 10th-15th would be a realistic position with top 10 considered as a good season based on our current squad.
15.) 08 Jul 2024 14:55:24
I love it , top 6 I'd take 7th, if we strengthen in the right areas, no points deductions I recon we could have an outside chance, also if we keep dcl or a replacement can score at least double figures, not a lot to ask for but I don't see why not.
16.) 08 Jul 2024 17:50:14
Thelwell appears to be trying to bring in players with pace. Think next season you will see the team still give up possession relying on a solid defence. But hope to be better on the counter attack, as we currently have one of the slowest forward lines in the league.
17.) 08 Jul 2024 22:24:16
We haven’t brought in that much and we may still see players depart.
I hope we finish in the top half of the table. I expect another relegation scrap. If we could be safe by end of March I would seem that progress on recent years.
I expect a points deduction. Hopefully, there will be others with points deductions also. In a perfect world, other teams will have much greater points deductions than us. I don’t think they will though.
07 Jul 2024 03:08:34
Can anyone clarify the status of this Mali striker/ AMC who is a friend of Doucoure as various outlets been saying since Wednesday all terms have been agreed he is a free agent so no negotiations required with red bull Salzburg. I just don’t see what the hold up is with pre season starting Monday you would have thought he would have completed his medical and signed contract slowly got adjusted to his new environment. I just find if odd.
1.) 07 Jul 2024 10:36:34
I read it's all rubbish.
2.) 07 Jul 2024 11:10:30
Don't believe the click bait, if we signed every player we are linked with then we will be bankrupt by Christmas with all the wages we would have to pay.
3.) 07 Jul 2024 12:10:33
As Ed has already pointed out when someone asked it’s not straightforward as there may be issues in getting a work permit.
As others have said wouldn’t believe majority of the rumours going around as majority are just clickbait.
06 Jul 2024 19:08:10
Would have resigned Donny van da beek going to Girona is liga.
1.) 06 Jul 2024 19:14:55
Noooo.
06 Jul 2024 18:59:26
I would like see Everton use are link with Ancelloto try secure a loan deal for arda guler he has been impressive so far with Madrid front three can’t see him getting much game time and his development can continue that would be a great addition to our squad and thinink carlo would rather help us than teams they compete with in CL.
1.) 06 Jul 2024 20:24:57
The same Everton he threatened legal action to recover missing financial settlements? And took an 11th hour out of court payout to go away? He ain't giving us anything and nor should he.
2.) 07 Jul 2024 12:27:32
The people who didn't pay him aren't at the club anymore and football doesn't really work like that. Watford wanted to take us to court and then sold us Richy.
06 Jul 2024 09:18:29
Any out going players club should make them hand an official transfer request in to the club (so they can’t in the future suggest they were forced out). If not committed to Everton then try move them elsewhere ie DCL and Onana have publicly stated they want to leave club.
1.) 06 Jul 2024 10:07:14
That won't happen because they lose let's say 5% of the transfer fee and bonuses. its something like that with all the extras the agents put into the contracts. way above my head think the player must hate the club or manager to hand 1 in or a team mate has been banging his missus lol.
2.) 06 Jul 2024 11:40:04
Try not to judge a player on transfer window headlines. It'll make to seem far more rationale and command a higher level of intelligence and character.
3.) 06 Jul 2024 13:00:46
We hear a lot of ‘he said’ when no direct quotes exist. Any sensible player would consider his options every summer. If Dom or anyone else moves on, we move on and find a replacement that’s better.
4.) 06 Jul 2024 13:22:37
Press is full of rubbish. Player trading is transactional and the emotions should be removed. I might not like it when a player leaves especially if it leaves the team at a disadvantage, but it should never be personal. You’ll never be satisfied.
5.) 06 Jul 2024 13:34:44
End of the day they do what is right for them and there families at the time.
07 Jul 2024 03:15:05
Predictive text as I don’t believe there would be any major issues between us and Richarlson. From stories going around they would even terminate his contract to get him off wage bill.
06 Jul 2024 19:10:08
I hope this a joke or something would keep Keane he is a better player.
06 Jul 2024 12:27:33
IMO Some older players can be excellent additions for experience and mentoring youngsters.
06 Jul 2024 12:24:57
Look in past Tim Cahill was it £2m what a player he was. Also seamus Coleman £60k was one of best RB in PL in his prime.
06 Jul 2024 12:21:31
Sorry Ron Richardson my apologies and as short term Replacement if JB Goes matts hummells on a free transfer I rate him high.
05 Jul 2024 11:01:52
At least he has been honest and said he wants to go to Newcastle as long as Everton get best deal possible for him that is the priority for club and exact situation with Onana as DCL both expressed their desire to go elsewhere.
