Don't know if it's true but a friend of mine has just told me that some fans are thinking of bringing moyes out banners to the next game. , I hope it's just a wind up, it's the last thing we need.

Skylark

{Ed025's Note - it really is you know Skylark, the decision has been made and thats the end of it, the last thing we need is this crap unsettling the manager and players mate..

1.) 12 Jan 2025 00:14:08
Then they shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the ground.

2.) 12 Jan 2025 07:57:00
Hope they see sense, Everton need everyone behind them at his time, get behind the Team and manager.

3.) 12 Jan 2025 08:36:17
It’s done now so let’s get over it and so some support.

4.) 12 Jan 2025 09:29:28
That’s terribly sad news Skylark. We really need a loud and united Goodison on Weds night.

5.) 12 Jan 2025 10:10:08
Clearly some people think we can just get any manager to get us out of this mess. I feel safer with Moyes in charge than some untried manager new to the Premier and relegation battle. I think it's a different skill to battle at the bottom than it is at the top. So I'm feeling more confident now than I was last week. These idiots and their banners should be grateful he's taken the job!

6.) 12 Jan 2025 10:22:19
Embarrassing.

7.) 12 Jan 2025 11:21:42
As much as I don't want Moyes or happy he is here. We don't need that and your right big reg, very embarrassing, a lot not happy though but is what it is and hopefully a few wins and couple of new signings may go some way to sweeten the sourness.

23 Nov 2024 16:55:17
Sack him for Christ sake.

Skylark

1.) 23 Nov 2024 17:27:49
Who will sack him?

2.) 23 Nov 2024 17:58:26
I will do it!

3.) 23 Nov 2024 18:12:35
I think if we all boycott the game like me they won't have much choice.

4.) 23 Nov 2024 18:25:29
Agree skylark i won't be going and i can't watch us till he gets sacked breaks my heart seeing this club in decline i have said for last 4 years including this season we will get relegated with this clown in charge.

5.) 23 Nov 2024 19:18:58
If you are season ticket holders then the only ones you will hurt are yourselves as they already have your money. Voicing your opinions in the game might well get the message over. Oh and a banner saying "No Moyes" as well ?.

{Ed025's Note - i will sign that banner Nick..

6.) 23 Nov 2024 20:49:57
Get thee behind me ?.

22 Oct 2024 17:58:18
Been reading some bad things about Friedkin some saying we are in for a bad time and it's not all going to as rosey as some think. Can any of the eds shed some light.

Skylark

{Ed002's Note - It is going to be different. They will put a leadership in place and largely step back.}

1.) 22 Oct 2024 22:43:50
If it is good Leadership/ Trusted delegation then that's a good thing.

2.) 23 Oct 2024 08:59:23
If, is a very very big word.

3.) 23 Oct 2024 10:58:28
Why would anybody make a considerable outlay from their own money and set out with the intention of not wanting their investment to be successful?

Let us judge him once he is in and had some time to put his plans in place, rather than already parroting negative hearsay.

He will be hard pushed to be worse than Moshiri.

{Ed025's Note - im with you BN..

4.) 23 Oct 2024 11:36:49
Agree BlueNose time will tell.

5.) 23 Oct 2024 12:24:15
Agreed BlueNose. I swear some people on here love to believe the worst in everything that we do.

6.) 23 Oct 2024 12:29:23
I raised the same point some weeks ago. The Roma fans are certainly up in arms. Probably a lot of fog coming out of Italy. Surely we aren't jumping from the pot to the pan, are we gulp? Can anything be worse than the Moshiri era? I look forward to the new era.

{Ed025's Note - i think 777 may have been worse Nick, we dodged a bullet there mate and we just have to hope TFG are the right fit, whoever we get has to be an upgrade on Mohiri i would think..

7.) 23 Oct 2024 12:30:53
Fingers crossed lads.

I am personally optimistic. My confidence stems from not only his successful business decisions but also his personal accolades. Seems like an intelligent bloke to me. I imagine he will be aware of his limitations and not be afraid to consult and delegate with/ to industry professionals, as opposed to the illogical approach Moshiri had.

8.) 23 Oct 2024 13:00:16
I wasn't having a go, I was just saying what I've read, I just hope we all aren't being led false hopes,

9.) 23 Oct 2024 13:13:58
Unfortunately, we won't know until they rock up and take over the club, skylark. We've just got to hope that they are considerably better than what we've endured the last 8 years or so. Everything in life comes with a certain risk but I think we should all hold our tongues until they give us something to moan about! The day FM leaves is going to be a good day for the club, the start of a new era. Hopefully it is a successful era and better times are in touching distance.

10.) 23 Oct 2024 14:03:00
You’d hope they’d run us more like a business than moshiri has.

They’ve done relatively ok with Roma - since takeover 3 6th placed finishes and won the Europa Conference league which was their first silverware in quite a while.

However they had finished in the top 3 a few seasons before the takeover.

I think some of the complaints from Roma fans is the sacking of club legend De Rossi - however he had a winless start to the season and the club were 16th when he was sacked - surely an owner who makes decisions based on football results rather than sentiment is what we’ve wanted for a long time.

Not sure why anyone is worrying about the takeover though as there’s nothing we as fans can do other than get behind the team and support them.

Fingers crossed we’re finally moving in the right direction.

11.) 23 Oct 2024 14:33:04
Yes Ginger the league positions are impressive. I would be delighted if we can emulate same. Upwards and onwards. COYB.

12.) 23 Oct 2024 15:04:06
Good times ahead I’m sure.

13.) 23 Oct 2024 15:46:08
The guy isn’t through the door yet, just support the team and hope his first move is to bin Dyche and get us playing football again. That would be a start.

14.) 23 Oct 2024 18:24:17
Hallelujah to that ?.

15.) 23 Oct 2024 21:14:20
As long as we start paying players what they are worth and we aren’t hamstrung by PSR due to the way we are financed, it will be a vast improvement.

Get in some people who know how to actually run a club and it would be ideal.

Finally deliver some football that has us challenging in matches and competitions and it would be exactly what we want.

This is Everton though. We will likely lose our best assets and end up in administration and striped for parts….

16.) 23 Oct 2024 23:03:29
The only hope is that we avoid ridiculously inept management of this club and a sensible transfer policy with an eye on re-establishing our status as a solid EPL side. I don't think we can compare the gripes that Roma fans have. They are after all a relatively successful club that is used to contesting at the higher end of their championship and domestic and Euro cups. We are a disaster on fire and sinking into obscurity. If they can clear the debt, give us a moderate transfer kitty and steady the ship for the next 5 years, that's a massive success. They'll then be into phase 2 of the restructure and they either sell us on for a healthy profit or they then have a relatively good foundation to push us on to where us fan demand to be.
Not being tipped by a super computer to be relegated and or to be fighting for survival to the wire would be a massive improvement. Oh and no more shady mismanagement resulting in legal cases and point deductions would also be refreshing. If they get us in the top 10 year after year then we would be attractive to further investment or someone with more ambitions would be sniffing about to either launch a buyout or invest. This stadium is going to be FMs greatest achievement and in the coming 10 years will be beyond comprehension how it's going to change our future. We may even forgive the era and thank him for what he did? Ok too soon but the money will start to roll and do to the better times. Sadly as a man in his late 40s I can't see how we ever win the title (ever again) but it'd be nice to watch us in the CL before I'm in my late 60s and maybe finally win that league cup? Its not that much to ask is it?

17.) 24 Oct 2024 07:47:51
the thing with the Roma discontent, is that it's only very recent

& that's because they sacked club legend De Rossi very early this season, rightly or wrongly

before that they were regarded as one of the most liked ownerships in Italy, but since as you can see it's gone wrong

for us though i think it's still quite positive, shows a ruthlessness we maybe haven't had even towards club icons.

{Ed001's Note - that's not true, they hired Mourinho to quell discontent among the fans and the sacking of him caused it to rise up again. De Rossi just added to it mate.}

18.) 24 Oct 2024 15:10:09
What do you think of them Ed01? Liverpool have had some good times under American ownership….

{Ed001's Note - I don't know much about them to be honest. Only that Roma fans were annoyed with them, but they are scum who think stabbing people from behind is a good way to greet visiting away fans, so them not liking Friedkin makes me more inclined to like him!}

19.) 25 Oct 2024 17:29:25
It will be a stepping stone for both parties. Everton will improve under them and will become a more prospective buying option. The Friedkins will move on and it might just get us into the thinking for the new super league which is inevitable.

20.) 25 Oct 2024 23:16:55
Some funny stuff. There’s nothing to report but they still have to and they’re trying negative angles. It’s not like we’re being passed from one paedo uncle to another, this uncle hopefully has some morals.

04 Apr 2024 21:15:04
So rumors have it some players are turning on SD, they won't name names but the rebellion is starting, apparently it's been over heard.

Skylark

1.) 04 Apr 2024 22:03:01
Probably by Doris the tea lady Skylark ?. However, I can imagine it as players start fighting for their EPL futures.

2.) 05 Apr 2024 00:48:01
I'm turning on him also Skylark.

3.) 05 Apr 2024 10:09:54
I think most of us are at the moment let’s hope a win against Burnley can start to change things.

4.) 05 Apr 2024 10:12:41
Everyone loves a rumour.
Mark my words, it will be the players with stiff necks.

31 Mar 2024 18:22:20
Ed who is in charge at the club at the moment?, who would have the final say on SD as this run he is on surly cannot carry on.

Skylark

{Ed002's Note - Farhad Moshiri remains in charge until, hopefully he can get the takeover done with 777 Partners.

1.) 31 Mar 2024 21:52:18
Thanks ed.

2.) 01 Apr 2024 00:46:13
Out of interest ed002. I doubt it would happen as there is always someone who will buy a football club. But, in the event 777 fell through, and FM could not get a buyer, he would be stuck with us. What would his options be and, where would it leave us?

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri would need to obtain funding to keep the club running - there are loans secured against Goodison Park, there is money owed to MSP, Metro Bank and of course the money loaned by 777 Partners to pay wages etc..}

3.) 01 Apr 2024 12:41:02
To put it bluntly we are in an absolute mess. Moshiri seems to have disappeared when it matters . Are 777 the answer? Not for me when you look at the other clubs they own . They are not happy. Are they hanging on in the hope that they get the club at a reduced cost?
Probably! Since Usmanov has gone it has turned into a s$%t show.

4.) 01 Apr 2024 12:53:18
They've already bought half of it.

Whatever you say don't say anything bad about DM.

Skylark

{Ed025's Note - hes done well Skylark, but the honeymoon period is nearly over now and we will see what he has to offer when he gets new players in, i have to be honest im still on the fence mate..

1.) 19 Apr 2025 17:09:15
I agree, but I just get the feeling that he thinks he walks on water at our club.

2.) 19 Apr 2025 17:12:11
I didn't want Moyes back but applaud the fact he has got us safe with lots of games still to play. But how excited is Skylark at us getting beat. Couldn't wait to have a pop. Unbelievable.

3.) 19 Apr 2025 17:14:27
Does divorce not come after honeymoon? It did for me.

{Ed025's Note - not always Nick..

4.) 19 Apr 2025 17:15:17
He has done well our undoing was Tarks going off with a hamstring.

5.) 19 Apr 2025 17:27:55
Blimey Nick where have you been mate.

6.) 19 Apr 2025 17:57:51
Mum died Feb and had some medical issues mate. Comes with age. CT head scan next week. Could explain why I'm an Evertonian ?.

{Ed025's Note - sorry to hear that Nick..

7.) 19 Apr 2025 18:07:26
Yeah sorry to hear that, Hope all goes well mate have missed your posts.

8.) 19 Apr 2025 20:07:18
Give him a summer transfer window before we start throwing shade at him, he’s worked miracles with the crap we’ve got if dyche was still here we’d be below Southampton.

9.) 20 Apr 2025 00:35:50
I suppose it's fair to hold your own views as I did from day 1 with SD. Seems a little harsh to me though and I'm not sure what more he can do to please but like I said, if you hate him consistently from day 1, well 1 day when he gets sacked you'd be proven right. I enjoyed SDs demise but he isn't a patch on DM. I obviously wished SD to prove me wrong but seems like DM has to win the league and even then you'll be in his case.

10.) 20 Apr 2025 11:20:14
Easy to say now, but think if Moyes had moved O’Nrien into the centre and left Keane on the bench, then we might have still got a result. It’s little things like this that will give the anti Moyes brigade fuel for the fire.

11.) 20 Apr 2025 12:53:17
Firstly, welcome back nick. Sorry to hear about your loss and I hope your scan is clear mate ??
BMD, totally agree with you mate, think that substitute was one of the few mistakes DM has made since coming back to us. Hopefully be one of his last as we ship out players such as JH and MK and recruit better players in the next window.
Skylark trolling again ? only being able to have a pop when we lose must have been killing you since he came back! I think we can all agree that we have looked a lot better under this regime than we have in years, and with much the same squad. I think your head is going to burst if we recruit well. and have a decent team in our new ground. Just roll with it and enjoy the fact that we aren't looking over our shoulder at this stage of the season for once.

13 Apr 2025 14:41:44
Got to say well done blues played well and fully deserved the win, took the goal well, don't think anyone had a stinker and forest are no pushovers.

Skylark

1.) 13 Apr 2025 16:54:47
Possession wise we just slightly nudged them. Good team performance.

{Ed025's Note - i thought we were by far the better side all game Dentie..

2.) 13 Apr 2025 17:50:34
We were the better side Ed in both half’s mate, Forest are like many other so called top sides they keep trying to con the ref, they got what they deserved, really pleased to see it was Morillo who gave the ball away which led to our goal, he was the biggest cheat on the pitch.

{Ed025's Note - im actually a big fan of Murillo GB..

3.) 14 Apr 2025 06:46:01
Good player ED. McNeil nicked it GB. McNeils pass I believe was to our player to his left but missed and got through to Doucoures run.

03 Apr 2025 13:51:20
Fair play to DM for what he has done since he came back but I don't like his football and he isn't my cup of tea I would have liked a fresh start.

Skylark

1.) 03 Apr 2025 14:15:20
Who would have been your choice then mate.

2.) 03 Apr 2025 14:32:42
what would you have his football down as?

attacking numbers are up
chances created are up
goals are up
points are up
form is up.

3.) 03 Apr 2025 14:32:48
Whether you like him or not, this brand of football has been better than the last 3 managers combined.

4.) 03 Apr 2025 14:47:14
Have to admit I didn’t want Davey, but boy was I wrong perfect manager for us.

5.) 03 Apr 2025 14:57:17
Bloody hell 1 loss and we have moaner already, forget the other games unbeaten and he's not your cup of tea , 1 loss and probably more to come, look at what he's done in a very short time to what others have failed at.

6.) 03 Apr 2025 14:59:39
Not his team. A team ravaged by injury to the better players. A team so bereft of quality and confidence. A team everyone, even you! on these pages ridiculed the last 3 seasons progressively louder each season for not being "premier league level"
A team everyone rallied wouldn't improve and I quote "not even Pep would get a tune out of this shambles"
The guys come in and arguably shouldn't have lost the 2 games he has. Last night one defensive error led to their goal and only meaningful shot on target. And his 1st game against Villa who should have conceded a stone wall penalty.
Sure a lot of draws but considering the injury list, he's done us proud. He's literally polishing turds left and right and here you are moaning?

7.) 03 Apr 2025 16:03:14
Totally agree FBS hope if the results don't go are way in the next few games. hope I'm not reading Moyes out on here. we would be below Ipswich now if he hadn't come in.

8.) 03 Apr 2025 16:34:23
FBS has been talking a lot of sense recently. I dread to think where we’d be without Moyes. No one’s saying we’re Brazil ‘70, but thankfully we’re also not Dyche ‘24.

9.) 03 Apr 2025 17:26:00
The op has an opinion on DM and that's fair enough, I cannot personally bring myself to knock or even have a mild pop right now, as I think he has done more in this short period, than we could hope for in back those dark last days of SD's time.

10.) 03 Apr 2025 18:13:06
Bluepasty it's got nothing to do with loosing to Liverpool, it's just like going back in time all very mundane, yes it's better than the past managers but look who we have had, sorry but it doesn't make moyes god's gift like some think, I will be glad when his two years are up.

11.) 03 Apr 2025 19:15:13
The OP has the same opinion of every manager we bring in, he never likes them! With some of the others, he had a point but I think this latest post is a bit daft when you consider where we were 10 or 11 games ago. The majority of us feared for our future under SD but DM has come in and made a massive difference with the same bunch of players. Safety was paramount this season and he has achieved it both quickly and efficiently.

12.) 03 Apr 2025 20:10:36
Yes he has done a good job since he came back and that's what I said. But I will be glad to see him gone and we have a fresh start.

13.) 03 Apr 2025 20:33:51
I don't know who Skylark would've approved of. Maybe Anchelotti fancies another spell in charge? Maybe Pep fancies a new challenge or how about Xavi taking a punt on us.

Moyes isn't ever going to set the world alight but he is the best fit for us for the foreseeable. He is pragmatic and will start to rebuild our credibility before someone else comes in and reeps the rewards in a few years.

Personally I think we'd be right down there now if it wasn't for Moyes. For that I will be eternally grateful.

UTFT NSNO IMWT.

14.) 04 Apr 2025 08:50:12
I feel DM’s doing the best he can do with what he has been given. There’s no way Jack Harrison would have been playing Wednesday if he had better options. He’s been given mediocre squad and he’s getting the best out of them. Next season will be much better with the players he’ll bring in in the summer.
I’d put good money on him being here after his two year contract. We’ve tried the ‘fresh start’ thing and it simply hasn’t worked so I for one would rather have us picking up points under someone we know loves the club rather than a FL, RB or a SD looking completely lost.

19 Mar 2025 15:43:29
What next, putting a claim in against VAR? You can see where all this is going opening a can of worms.

Skylark

1.) 19 Mar 2025 21:31:12
Can we put a claim in against the referees?

09 Mar 2025 10:11:35
What is it with our fans wanting players back at the club that left years ago?

Skylark

1.) 09 Mar 2025 11:33:53
Think some are soooooooo fed up with half the present lot we have mate, I have to say I can’t wait for the summer window to come and to move a good few on, yesterday showed how frail we are and we can thank Davey for the excellent job he’s doing with what he has to work with at the moment.

2.) 09 Mar 2025 12:29:23
I suppose so, but still annoying.

3.) 09 Mar 2025 12:50:27
We keep going backwards and we won't progress. We shouldn't be looking to re sign Richarlison, we should be looking to find the next Richarlison.

4.) 09 Mar 2025 13:11:23
Deffo BB mate the time has at last arrived where we can can actually do something about the Team, exciting times ahead this summer.

5.) 09 Mar 2025 13:16:11
Agree Richarlison should be left well alone, need to move on.

I'd keep following

Pickford
O brien
Tark
Branthwaite
Mykalenko
Gana
Garner
Tim iba
Mcneil
Chermetti
Patterson
Coleman
Beto
Alcaraz
Ndiaye
Harrison (on loan at derby)

Get rid of.
Dacoure
Keane
Lindstrom
Harrison (jack! )
Dcl
Holgate
Broja

Bring in
2 wide players (my choice for one of them would be sulemena from Southampton)
Left back
Striker
Central midfielder (lad from brentford)

6.) 09 Mar 2025 15:12:29
I'd go get nico raskin from rangers the kid stands our every game he plays same roll as gana.

7.) 10 Mar 2025 01:51:31
Angel Gomes free from Lille. Cracking player. Try for Cherki for 18 mill from Lyon. Tom Fellows from WBA. And a smattering of others. Will be a busy summer and deals will need to be done early I'd think. Also if we can win the race for him I'd try for Liam Delap too.

I get the moyes appointment but two years for me if true is to long I would like 6 months but what I don't like is talk of Rooney and or Ferguson, with us being half way through a season and we need to stay in the premier I totally understand why the club would appoint moyes, he is out of work he is cheap and he is the best of a bad bunch that would come in sort term, there you have it potato.

I don't think he is the man to take us forward to any kind of success, but the biggest question is who is, great managers are not two a penny, so I guess we are stuck with him for a couple of years.
I know some on here love the bones of him but not me, I feel like we are just stuck in the past again.

Skylark

{Ed025's Note - im prepared to give the guy a chance Skylark, i was never a fan but we need stability and to build something solid for the future, he may not be the one ultimately but for now could do a job imo, i dont like the fact that he plays too many grafters instead of ballers and seems to have favourites but while he is getting results mate i can put up with that..
