So rumors have it some players are turning on SD, they won't name names but the rebellion is starting, apparently it's been over heard.

Skylark

1.) 04 Apr 2024 22:03:01
Probably by Doris the tea lady Skylark ?. However, I can imagine it as players start fighting for their EPL futures.

2.) 05 Apr 2024 00:48:01
I'm turning on him also Skylark.

3.) 05 Apr 2024 10:09:54
I think most of us are at the moment let’s hope a win against Burnley can start to change things.

4.) 05 Apr 2024 10:12:41
Everyone loves a rumour.
Mark my words, it will be the players with stiff necks.

31 Mar 2024 18:22:20
Ed who is in charge at the club at the moment?, who would have the final say on SD as this run he is on surly cannot carry on.

Skylark

{Ed002's Note - Farhad Moshiri remains in charge until, hopefully he can get the takeover done with 777 Partners.

1.) 31 Mar 2024 21:52:18
Thanks ed.

2.) 01 Apr 2024 00:46:13
Out of interest ed002. I doubt it would happen as there is always someone who will buy a football club. But, in the event 777 fell through, and FM could not get a buyer, he would be stuck with us. What would his options be and, where would it leave us?

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri would need to obtain funding to keep the club running - there are loans secured against Goodison Park, there is money owed to MSP, Metro Bank and of course the money loaned by 777 Partners to pay wages etc..}

3.) 01 Apr 2024 12:41:02
To put it bluntly we are in an absolute mess. Moshiri seems to have disappeared when it matters . Are 777 the answer? Not for me when you look at the other clubs they own . They are not happy. Are they hanging on in the hope that they get the club at a reduced cost?
Probably! Since Usmanov has gone it has turned into a s$%t show.

4.) 01 Apr 2024 12:53:18
They've already bought half of it.

01 Dec 2023 16:55:20
Reports Beto is leaving.

Skylark

1.) 01 Dec 2023 18:10:00
Who is buying him?

2.) 01 Dec 2023 18:11:16
Wow mate where did you read that.

3.) 01 Dec 2023 18:40:12
On a news feed. Milan I think it said.

4.) 01 Dec 2023 18:40:38
AC Milan.

5.) 02 Dec 2023 12:58:40
Well he's not getting a chance. He looks sharp when he comes on but who's going to be happy with 2 or 3 minutes a game every week?

6.) 02 Dec 2023 13:34:08
Now saying Godfrey is also leaving.

7.) 02 Dec 2023 13:49:07
Let’s be honest, his goal record isn’t great wherever he’s been and he’s nowhere near as good as DCL so if we get the money back on him I say sell. We only need a cheap and decent backup Beto at his price needed to be a starter and he isn’t upto it so unless we sell DCL unfortunately we can’t afford to have a £30m striker on the bench!

8.) 02 Dec 2023 14:10:46
Who’s the cheap and decent back up?

9.) 02 Dec 2023 15:47:15
DCL goal scoring record isn't that good either.

10.) 02 Dec 2023 21:00:19
Previous posted concerns about Beto and from what I’ve seen he will never cut it in the premiership.
Very little pace, not very good in the air and poor ball control skills.
If we can shift him in January it will save us having to fork out the transfer fee the end of next year because the guy is worse than Tosan.

{Ed025's Note - a bit harsh that Fancy imo, he was poor today i agree but he has not had a run in the side yet and it seems a pit premature to write him off just yet mate..

11.) 02 Dec 2023 21:26:29
Ed, if a player has anything about him it is obvious in his balance and movement, I haven’t seen anything that would suggest Beto could be a force in the EPL.
Chermiti, although raw, shows signs of developing into a player and for me should have been introduced earlier today.
Also, why Sean continues to select Young against wingers with pace and ball skill is beyond me.

{Ed025's Note - i agree on Young Fancy and cant believe he is a regular starter myself, but im giving Beto the benefit of the doubt at the minute mate, we might just need him more than we think..

12.) 02 Dec 2023 21:35:14
Let's not forget Dom's injury record before we go someone cheap and cheerful. Beto has not been given a chance. The prem is a hard place to come, very very few hit the ground running.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Chris..

13.) 03 Dec 2023 00:30:06
He has been managed very poorly imo. When he first came, albeit against Doncaster, he changed that game for us and showed a great finish. He was unlucky not to score against Sheffield and caused them bother the whole time he was on the game. He had a great assist when he came on against Burnley for Young's goal.

To say he has no pace and is crap in the air is just b*ll*cks. Even if he hasn't had the chance to prove it concretely for Everton yet, go and watch him for Udinese where he actually got a decent run in the side for a season.

It is hard luck for him that DCL has been fit for a run of games for the first time in years, in which time DCL has performed poorly himself.

Comparing the lad to Tosun is even more b*ll*cks. He has had the end of matches to come on and try and build some confidence. Yes the lad snatched at some chances today but that is because he is so desperate to make an impact for us. Had he been given some backing since he has been here, things would likely be a lot different.

As JB said, who is this mythical cheap backup . Maupay?

14.) 03 Dec 2023 08:55:28
The backup can be anyone. Sheff utd signed Cameron archer for half the price who has scored 3 prem goals and has bags of potential. We will see how he turns out but I’m with fancy the last is pants and his scoring record at udinese proves it. Typical of our scouts to think £30m on 10 goals in a season in one of the slowest leagues in Europe makes him a good fit for the prem!

15.) 03 Dec 2023 16:46:16
Sorry but backup can’t be anyone. It has to be someone who is going to push to compete for the place. Not just be there as a fill in.

16.) 03 Dec 2023 19:49:26
Agree worburn. Can't just buy bench warmers or back ups. Need players who push for places, not to sit on bench til 89th minutes. Will never push forward as a club doing that.

{Ed025's Note - the thing is guys that better players cost more and want assurances about game time, its a very delicate balance and we may have to go fishing in the lower leagues to get hungry up and coming players on our budget..

17.) 03 Dec 2023 21:04:23
Do you envisage a lot of sales again to balance the books Ed25?

{Ed025's Note - not necessarily BR, i think there is a chance one of our better players may have to be sacrificed and that could mean either DCL or Onana i think, the main issue will be bringing players in and im thinking we will be looking in the loan market in January, and that could even be the case in the summer actually..

18.) 04 Dec 2023 17:26:34
I think the lad just needs a goal to build his confidence, you saw what his assist meant to him. The good thing is he’s getting in the positions to score, albeit he’s missing them currently, at least he’s getting in those positions and suits our style, the team plays better with him than a Maupay. A goal and some confidence hopefully he’ll become more clinical. I’d give him at least until the end of the season.

19.) 04 Dec 2023 20:22:33
Dyche seems to favour a settled first 11, and we can see some benefits of that. No doubt there’ll have to be more rotation in December. Surprised we’ve seen so little of Danjuma. Can we loan more players in January?

20.) 05 Dec 2023 04:19:13
It would be suicidal to let DCL go, ed25. I'd rather it was Onana out of the two, providing we don't get our pants pulled down over any deal.
Regarding Beto, I think we have found another dud. Might be a tad harsh but I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest he can cut it in the prem. Granted, he hasn't been given much of a go but his touch, heading and shooting haven't inspired confidence. I hope he turns it around but I think time is ticking for him already. Reminds be of the Strac with slightly less ability.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think anyone wants DCL or any of our top players to go bp, but the fact is books have to be balanced because we dont want any more penalties for finance breaches mate, now i dont know how the sums are adding up at the moment but with our recent history we have to be very careful, there is also the scenario where the players themselves may want to leave of course?, in the end they are just transient employees and transfers happen all the time, i agree though that if Dom, Jarrad, Jordan or Amadou were to leave it would be a massive blow..

21.) 05 Dec 2023 13:31:17
That's understandable ed25 if we really need to get rid of a player to balance the books. I just think Onana is the one we wouldn't miss too much out of those you mentioned. We've done OK without him the last month or so and he has so. e resale value. With DCL, even if he doesn't score he occupies defenders and makes space for others. We need him more than onana I reckon mate. Hopefully we're not forced to sell anyone unless it's through choice.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely bp, my biggest worry would be Jarrad mate, he is forging a great reputation for himself and i know a lot of the big boys are interested in him, he has just signed a new 4 year deal but is that to keep him or to maximize his sell on value?, i really hope we dont sell any of our better players of course but in the end money talks..

22.) 06 Dec 2023 15:09:07
I think lots of foreign players need at least a season in the Premier league to settle down, new surroundings new home etc. They just need to find their feet etc I think Beto will come good. I think we'll not see the best of him this season though.

23.) 07 Dec 2023 12:49:43
Agree, ed025, I'd like to keep him for another few seasons but I suppose it all depends on our finances. It's going to be an interesting window when it opens mate.
TT, I hope you're right mate and he will come good but he isn't inspiring me with confidence whenever he plays. Maybe a goal will start the ball rolling for him? At the moment, he just reminds me of Strac and Niasse, nice fellas who work hard but just aren't at the required level. I hope I'm wrong.

24.) 07 Dec 2023 21:52:37
Let’s hope that goal kick starts a fine run for him.

25.) 07 Dec 2023 22:28:31
Definitely, BR23. Really hope he kicks on from here.

22 Oct 2023 11:32:53
Inevitability the whole day had that inevitability about it, it's as if the club the players manager the fans the tea lady all just except we are going to get beat by Liverpool and as for the substitutions well I just give up.

Skylark

1.) 22 Oct 2023 18:44:32
I have no faith in SD Skylark. I know we can't keep changing managers, but maybe 777 have someone in mind for when they take over.

{Ed025's Note - im sure some people on here think we are Man City, we are not a massive club anymore and should be grateful that someone like Dyche is willing to put his neck on the line to manage us imo, if anyone can get us up the table a bit then Sean is the very man, just my opinion of course..

2.) 22 Oct 2023 19:22:49
Grateful! Christ we have hit rock bottom if we should feel grateful. I look at other clubs who have changed and had impact managers get things going. We don't have a bad squad to what we had previously. We just don't have anyone who can use it correctly. Not having a pop at you ed, just frustrated we all see what SD can't.

{Ed025's Note - If it was that easy mate we would all be doing it, its a tough gig and it could be about to get even harder..

3.) 23 Oct 2023 09:22:17
It’s how dyche sets up and his subs and picking young/ Keane that make him look useless. When young got the first yellow he should have been taken off and garner or Patterson at right back . He could have dropped McNeill deeper into midfield with Beto or danjumma as another attacker leaving Harrison on this would have given the side more balance . Instead he tried to defend for 45 minutes with a donkey at the back total negativity . This is why in my opinion he is not right for us . I want to see us have a go at teams not hoist the white flag.

4.) 24 Oct 2023 05:10:14
It’s a tough gig that they are paid a small fortune for doing. Sorry Ed but I will never be grateful to any manager/ player for coming to us when you see the obscene amounts of money they are paid.
Let’s face it, it’s the only job I know where you can be a complete failure and still earn a fortune. Ok there’s being a politician, but that’s because there bent as f**k.

{Ed025's Note - i agree with that Harlex and think all players, managers and agents are paid obscene amounts mate, but in the context of where we are as a club i think we have the right man..

5.) 24 Oct 2023 10:38:23
I mean he didn’t pick Keane, he was forced to just try and park the bus with Youngs sending off. If that didn’t happen he’d have never be brought on.

6.) 24 Oct 2023 13:56:23
I think we should be grateful that he might keep us up again! What's done is done, the past mistakes, we can't change but we can rebuild, it'll just take a long time. as Ed says, we aren't that big club anymore, we have history but that's exactly what it is, history, nothing won since 95. So I think we should try survive the season again and small steps to stability is all we can expect at the moment, because no manager in the world is going to turn us into European contenders for many a year! !

7.) 24 Oct 2023 17:41:51
He had other options gibbo. Wasn't Godfrey on the bench? Godfrey isn't all that but he's better than Keane. Keane should be plan Z.

Also, when we have the luxury of making 5 subs bringing young off early should be a no brainer, especially when he was clearly get skinned for speed all the time.

8.) 24 Oct 2023 17:49:51
Spot on Chris.

9.) 25 Oct 2023 08:03:05
Am happy with dyche for now but as chris says bringing on keane when godfrey is there is bizarre also think he needs to tweak formations and subs during the match its like he leaves everything to late we have better attacking options then we had last year in harrison beto chemmeti danjuma dcl seems be up for it.

Video on utube guernsey, probably just a load of codswallop.

3.) 05 Apr 2023 10:17:03

Can we have a poll on Southgate so we can send the results to the new owner please
Yes to Southgate
No to Southgate.

Skylark

{Ed033's Note -

Southgate poll

1.) 23 Sep 2024 19:29:19
As if people have genuinely voted yes to Southgate hahahaha.

2.) 23 Sep 2024 19:37:07
Some have Chris!

3.) 23 Sep 2024 19:45:30
???.

4.) 23 Sep 2024 20:39:01
Maybe the other lot have infiltrated.

5.) 23 Sep 2024 21:25:10
Southgate is clearly good at building a collective, has intellect about building. But as a day to day manager I'm not convinced.

6.) 23 Sep 2024 22:10:10
Well I didn't but if he is made Manager then I will support him until he proves that I should not. One positive about him is that he should have a good idea who is worth recruiting and who is not. As England Manager he did a lot of attending games and watching players. Of course he could be useless at that also!

21 Sep 2024 14:32:39
????? my god.

Skylark

17 Sep 2024 21:52:11
Is he still here.

16 Sep 2024 20:18:03
Is he still here?

Skylark

1.) 16 Sep 2024 23:13:19
Sorry to say he is Skylark.

2.) 17 Sep 2024 00:28:35
They won't sack him. If he wins in cup then he'll get a clean slate to carry on losing league games. If he loses against Southampton he'll be given a clean slate to keep losing league games. I'm sure moshiri loves seeing fans suffer.

31 Aug 2024 19:27:59
Don't ask but just been told by an insider it's just a matter of time before he is gone.

Skylark

1.) 31 Aug 2024 20:44:52
Any indication how much time?

2.) 31 Aug 2024 20:51:29
Only worry is the time might be the end of his contract Sky.

3.) 31 Aug 2024 20:52:37
Hmmm time can be a long time Skylark. I hope it's true.

4.) 31 Aug 2024 20:57:47
I winder if Kevin Thelwells recruiting is to match another managers style. He's certainly not brought in Dyche-a-likes. The young, quicker paced more forward driving players could well be more of say the Potter Mould?

5.) 31 Aug 2024 21:51:27
I did say that the other week LLD. Certainly don't seem Dyche type players.

6.) 31 Aug 2024 22:03:16
There is no one at the club to make that decision.

There is also no money in the coffers to pay off a manager.

There is also no one crazy enough to take over the basket case that is our club.

7.) 31 Aug 2024 23:04:56
The board can sack the manager and the board includes the owner and his proxy so there certainly is someone who can sack him.
Someone who has shown he can be trigger happy.

8.) 31 Aug 2024 23:29:54
There’s money left over from Onana sale use that.

9.) 01 Sep 2024 09:25:51
Only worry would be we get Southgate, wouldn't fancy that if I'm honest, although would like to get a young exciting manager. Let's find out who Brighton have next on their list and pinch him.

Why would you steer clear of him Ed? Is it just because he Owens another club or is it something else?

Skylark

{Ed002's Note - Having both Roma and Everton would be difficult if both qualified for the same European competition. It would also cut out Bell and Downing and the club would still have to deal with the £1.2B in debt less the £200M he would need to guarantee paying immediately to address the £159 million – due to MSP Sports Capital two months ago and to cover the running costs for a month. Right now Moshiri should be talking with MSP, Bell and Dowling about a solution.

Months of work trying to get Friedkin in place could lead to the creditors pushing the club in to Administration of claiming the club assests (such as Goodison and Bramley Moore Dock).}
