Sadly, the injury inflicted by Son ensured that AG was never the same player. He was quality when he first rocked up but has struggled with the pace of the game since that night. Shame really.

Yes BP. That injury ruined everything. At one point it seemed like he'd be commanding and control our Midfield. Then he came back and was never back up to standard. Such a shame because when he first arrived i had high hopes.

I wouldn't be against Gray going lads. If this Chermiti is coming in along with a proven striker, fair enough. But if we are truly skint/ can’t spend the money, then I would rather use the Chermiti outlay, along with the gray money and get a Dia, Beto, Openda etc for a bit more money. Using Dobbin instead.
They are more polished than Chermiti and have played and scored at greater levels. He is only 19 and will need time to adapt to a new country/ city and to the toughest league in the world. He shouldn’t have the pressure of coming to perform for a team that has just fought off back to back relegations. You need to be playing good football already to make this type of signing. He adds to a team full of confidence.
I would rather us put faith in Dobbin and go and get a more proven striker like I said above. The lad has a decent brain on him and moves well. He needs to work on his finishing and having confidence at the top level but that’s no different to this Portuguese lad.

We’ve got Iwobi, McNeil, Garner, Danjuma and Young for the wide positions. If DCL was reliable, it wouldn’t worry me signing this lad. But because Dom is so unreliable, signing this kid has to be with a decent striker signing with him as well.
If we don’t have the money to do both, don’t get this kid and sign someone who is ready to play as a no9 for this club.

Don’t think this one holds much water though, although he is another left winger predominantly so would fit with our recruitment of left wingers ?.

I don't think NewsNow is the problem, ed025. It's the sites that are putting up crap, such as 90 minutes, football insider etc etc that are running stories after seeing a tenuous link in the press. NewsNow just puts all EFC related stories in one place to save us searching the net ourselves. I prefer the old school way of announcing a transfer once it's done rather than hyping up possible moves that, most of the time, don't materialise.
{Ed025's Note - its all those click-bait sites BP, they give you a headline then make you scroll through all the adverts to read the story...and most of them stories are just crap anyway, then supporters get upset that we have missed out on someone who was never a target in the first place mate..

O’Brien look good yesterday in the Roma match, grew into the game
Tarks was directing well
That Tim, like the look of him in the middle, strong in the tackle looking to snuff out danger hard working and looks to move the game forward, if he keeps going and develops he could be a great signing
Ndiaye looked lovely and wish he’d got that goal but fair play to the keeper getting a glove on it, was right behind the goal in the Gwladys and thought that was in
Jesper looks a good signing as well
First 30 mins was a bit dire though.

Thankfully my wife has seen the light and is now converted to a full Evertonian, so is fully invested in the highs and lows now.
Means I got to travel up from down south for a few games last season

Slightly different scenario but Joe Parkinson was robbed of a class career.

Virginia looked average but did pull off a couple of good saves
Young was average, good in the squad for depth but not a starter for me
Coleman was trying to take the game to them but out muscled
Keane was pretty useless
Holgate was average showed a few glimpses just not consistent
But for me 80% of that gets changed when Tarks JB Myko and Pickers return
Tim and Illy looked fairly decent but as a unit they looked disjointed
And Doucs is just not a number 10
And out of the 3 strikers, right now I would give Chermiti the nod
D grade on this performance for me.

Agree with Pickford and Tarks would be huge misses I think the whole defence had a great season bar a couple of wobbles
Really feel Ndiaye and Jesper can make a huge difference, adds more versatility to the attack for me and in turn should have McNeill and Harrison benefitting from the competition
Need to see Tracksuit Dyche in the dugout as well ??.
