can't spend well on every single position in one window and buy depth options on top of that
it's a squad option, not a starter.

Tbh gents, I read this last night and pondered over this.
I actually don't mind if we keep him. It will be a short deal and he won't be on stupid money. The reason I think it would be good to keep him is that he will be good to have in the dressing room. He keeps standards high and by all accounts is extremely professional.
That being said, I don't want him to play any more than the last few mins of a game that has already been put to be, lower league cup games or as a last resort if we get splattered by injuries and lose 1st/ 2nd choice players in the respective position he fills in for.

We have a very poor squad - if Keane goes we are left with only x2 centre backs (if Branthwaite goes) - so can see how young may have to stay.

You can't get rid of 12 out of contract players in one go, also we can't afford to then bring in 12 players to cover the 12 that left, then add more players to the very small squad we have, some players need to be kept around and next year they can leave and we replace them then, small steps, not Huge mistakes like last time.

Can’t go in to the season with Coleman and Patterson as our rightback.
Coleman won’t play many minutes and unfortunately Patterson doesn’t look like he’ll step up - been with us 3yrs and hasn’t nailed it down so doubt it’ll happen this season.
Moyes may decide to keep O’Brian as our rightback but that then leaves us short if one of our central defenders picks up an injury.
Definitely don’t want Kristiansen - next to Wout Faes he’s got to be one of the worst defenders in the league.
Rest of the team you’ve put up looks fairly decent.

Given Tarks form over this year and the possibility he’s been playing with an injury, I think O’Brien will play CB more than originally planned. We desperately need a RB to start, RW to start cover for LB, CF to start and GK backup. We can just about squeeze by with that.
We also need CM and CB cover but worried we won’t have cash to fill places so we will need very good loan deals to get everyone in we need.

Not football related but just wanted to get something off my chest about the tragedy and the state of the country
When it first happened we had all the usual right wing grifters spouting Muslim this Muslim that then once the details were announced we now have the lefties shouting he's a gammon and right wing reform radical etc
Why are we so divided? Then we had the idiotic so called comedian making jokes and then all scousers trying to cancel him I personally think he should be ignored, now he is cancelled we have the cockneys and southerners lauding it up and calling scousers victims etc
Is this behaviour normal in any other country? Why is the uk so angry and full of hate? I may not be Scouse but I lived my life 2 miles away from the city and to anyone outside of the north west I am a scouser and as such treated with the same distain
Don't know why I posted this but I needed to get it off my chest as it's affecting me mentally at a time when we should all be together, what has happened to our country?

I feel it’s a product of our digital and interconnected age, Tranmere. We are spending an ever increasing amount of our time living life in the social media sphere, and by design it does everything it can to retain our attention there. Divisive and antagonistic content tends to get the most clicks and interactions, therefore is pushed the heaviest. As people consume that content they become more and more divided and antagonised, creating this horrible self-reinforcing feedback loop. I fear this problem is going nowhere, as really where social media and news media in general is concerned, divisiveness and hate drives engagement and that drives profit….

If you think his overall performance was good enough then I'm afraid there is nothing I can say to you. He scored, happy days as when we score it helps us wins games. Fair play to him, a lot of luck from a piss poor shot but it went in. I notice you never mention him falling over, losing possession, loose passes, lame efforts etc. Strange as the stats for all of them must be through the roof and we all know you prefer stats over watching a player.

Not saying beto is the answer but I've always liked him. He's not had a full season and has now bagged 8! I would love him to stay but still think we need another striker! Taking into account the amount of players out of contract and the fact we don't have billions of pounds available in the summer I really don't see how we can afford to let him go.
I'd have probably kept dacoure for similar reasons but only if he agreed reduced terms which he doesn't seem to be prepared to do.
Think Harrison Armstrong should be playing off the bench for us next season.
Hopefully will only need 3 or 4 signings then.

Genuinely feel that some fans will not change their opinion on Beto regardless of how many goals he scores - that’s not childish it’s an opinion.
You don’t like him and that’s fair enough.
But when fans complain we don’t score goals and then are happy to move a player on who scores goals makes little sense to me.
Is he a complete player - no.
Does he play amazingly every game - no.
Does he look clumsy - yes.
Opposition players find it awkward playing against him - yes.
Does he work hard each game - yes.
Does he score - yes.
Do we need goals in the team - yes.
There’s enough there regardless of stats that makes me want us to keep him.
Genuinely feel with better service and playing in a front 2 he’d be even better for us.
However also aware some fans don’t want that to happen.
With a challenging window ahead I don’t think centre forward area is the most pressing area to be addressed.
If he goes to Leeds with the attacking players they have I wouldn’t be surprised if he got 15+ goals for them.
However all a matter of opinions and will be interesting to see what happens with him.

I didn’t rate him until I seen him live myself albeit against Doncaster and Tranmere, not the highest measuring stick I know but he ran both defences raggged and at the end of the Tranmere game he ended up coming deep grabbing the ball and basicrunnng through the defence twice by himself and scoring the equaliser and the winner, he’s a top player just looks unorthodox because he’s gangly.
