Ed 02 may I ask please do you see dcl and or branthwaite leaving before deadline day? Surely we need more money coming in with our expenditure?
{Ed002's Note - I expect another offer for Branthwaite.}
1.) 23 Aug 2024 17:47:24
DCL transfer deadline day trust me.
2.) 23 Aug 2024 17:38:50
Would that be from the other half of Liverpool?
{Ed002's Note - I expect Manchester United to make one more offer.}
3.) 23 Aug 2024 20:07:59
I thought that with the recent purchase of two more defenders they might be done with JB. Big surprised Newcastle haven’t come in.
4.) 23 Aug 2024 20:16:02
Could still be some clubs overseas making bids for both DCL and JB. I think they will both go, shame but we need the money.
{Ed025's Note - if they do go Swinners then it has to be early next week mate to give us a chance to bring a couple of new faces in, if it happens in the last 2 days of the window we will be up that creek without a paddle..
5.) 23 Aug 2024 19:28:02
I have a feeling on dcl maybe that’s why Beto played tranmere to get him match fit ron?
Thanks for replies ed.
6.) 23 Aug 2024 21:41:58
DCL can go as far as I am concerned, JB is another matter. His partnership with Tarkowski was critical to any success we had last season. O'Brien is an unknown and the rest if the center-backs you can forget. Hopefully we will see JB and O'Brien form a formidable partnership for at least a season. I can't see any new owner being happy with going into the new stadium after being relegated. So whatever we need to keep JB for another season let's do it. If he goes to Liverpool I am finished with this club after 78 years of being an active and loyal supporter.
7.) 23 Aug 2024 21:58:12
Looked like we were ahead of the game at one point, now the inevitable drag as lots of good players move on. Lots of business still to be done.
8.) 23 Aug 2024 21:57:28
I can see that happening.
9.) 23 Aug 2024 22:19:26
If DCL doesn't go or doesn't sign a new contract I would put him in the reserves. yes he could could play out of his skin for a season and for his new employer but I wouldn't give him that chance to get a big payday in a year's time. give the player's who have 3 or 4 year's on there contracts who are committed us. that's my opinion if you want to go then F OFF.
10.) 23 Aug 2024 23:34:58
If he stays, he plays. Whether we like it or not.
11.) 24 Aug 2024 11:00:36
Ed002 who is interested in calvert lewin in this last week and would you expect manchester uniteds offer to be good enough for Branthwaite for us to accept?
{Ed002's Note - Dominic Calvert-Lewin (S) The second player tapped up by Steven Gerrard. The summer will be a decision point for the player who will be another the club are willing to sell in order to raise funds. Newcastle, Brentford and West Ham offer options with Newcastle pressing to sign him to replace Callum Wilson, but Everton's asking price is seen as excessive. Manchester United interest has gone. A wildcard would be Crystal Palace. Everton want to keep him but will not want to have him run down his contract.
Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) Everton want a new contract but Spurs, Manchester United and Newcastle have an interest. Ancelotti has spoken to Solari about him and scouts were sent to watch him against Newcastle, but Solari is not convinced that English players settle well on the continent. Manchester United will likely need a complete rebuild at CB with departures in the summer and so he will be a leading option but after two offers the clubs are a long way apart in valuation. Spurs have a need for a CB but have preferred options. Newcastle has a compelling need to add one or two younger CBs but a move there is very unlikely, particularly after adding Lloyd Kelly and courting Guehi. A wildcard would be Manchester City but they don't see value for money.}
12.) 27 Aug 2024 11:51:27
Ed002 with toney looking like leaving will brentford bid for calvert lewin?
{Ed002's Note - I doubt it but don't rule out him leaving for elsewhere.}
13.) 28 Aug 2024 07:25:49
Ed002 can you say where to? West Hsm going to come for him? Some Chelsea links aswell.
{Ed002's Note - Perhaps Newcastle or Arsenal.}
14.) 28 Aug 2024 10:14:10
Arsenal, wow, that wouod be a shock one as they are challenging for title. Ed002 are Newcastle selling Wilson then? Maybe Trippier involved in a deal, and who would we look to replace him?
{Ed002's Note - Wilson is injured - there is a potential to sell him when fit in a few weeks time but finding an interested club in Turkey would be an issue.
Trippier may well be an option in a part exchange.}
15.) 28 Aug 2024 11:55:41
Interesting, ed002 how serious is arsenals interest? Where do you think he goes? Would be a brilliant move for him, be sad to see him go but probably right time and would hope and assume broja would be who we go for?
{Ed002's Note - I have no way to measure how "serious" interest is. Broja is likely to join Ipswich.}

That was all on Dyche and his lack of action for subs, garner should have been brought on for tim as he's more experienced to see the game off and ccoleman and mykolenko was too.
On a positive note how good does ndiaye look?
27 Aug 2024 15:56:15
Anyone else going to the match tonight? I'm hoping Dixon and Armstrong get a start both were excellent last week against tranmere and Dixon did well against spurs.
1.) 27 Aug 2024 16:31:52
Yes, I'm going with my lad. Just hoping for a change in game plan and some pace added to the team.
2.) 27 Aug 2024 16:48:24
I'm going but not holding out for much hope on him changing the team that much.
Doucs and Keane should not be starting in this team and Dixon should stay until pat is fit.
Upfront why play Dom when he is clearly leaving. We need to give beto time on the pitch at least until Chermiti is fit.
Don't want to say this but we should be looking for someone to replace Dyce. I was hoping to see him progress his brand of football but instead it's the same negative style.
Let's not be waiting till January to make the change and instead let's give a new manager real time to make a difference.
3.) 27 Aug 2024 17:34:07
Beto might not be the best technically but he tried his heart out every game and runs himself to the ground so I agree he deserves a chance for sure. Armstrong i'm most excited for apparently the best thing out of the academy since Rooney.
4.) 27 Aug 2024 19:26:24
Think betto has been at the mercy of yet another stuborn manager. He surely needs a run of games to get to grips with the league. He has never been afforded this. People write him off as crap but he's never had a fair crack. Firmly in dyche out camp now. I like the guy but the persistence with a certain centre back is the final straw for me. No exuses when we have a 6ft 6 cb on the bench.
5.) 27 Aug 2024 22:38:22
Beto proved yet again that he isn't anywhere near good enough for this level. His touch for his goal almost went to the keeper!
Tbh, witty, some can say that he's never had a chance or a decent run of games but he has never shown me anything in the little time he's had. He always comes across as too clumsy and awkward, he just isn't a premier league striker in any shape or form. Sad but true.
6.) 27 Aug 2024 22:49:49
Beto is garbage. He’s that bad if he played for City he still wouldn’t score.
7.) 27 Aug 2024 23:53:39
I agree witty, I feel sorry for the bloke his confidence must be shot to pieces yet he works his backside off and fights like a warrior. Dcl needs ti go it’s like he’s downed tools.

So therefore we cannot sign any more players on loan during this window?
{Ed002's Note - One from the PL and others from elsewhere.}

Moyes until end of season and try find the next big thing.
27 Sep 2024 16:12:03
City are Teflon and it’s already been said a decision will probably not be made until after this season now as the court takes three months starting January but then they have to make their minds up which could take another 3 months, I reckon a 5-10 point deduction beggining of next season and maybe a transfer ban.
27 Sep 2024 16:09:55
Say no to drugs kids, I think I’d have a nervous breakdown if we went from Dyche to Southgate.
27 Sep 2024 16:07:12
We can definitely beat them they’re a lot weaker than last season it’s a hundred prevent on Dyche with a good manager we should be beating them 2/ 3 nil but will Dyche start young and Keane again and will he have a go instead or sitting back at home? If we lose this he has to go. I’m going to be boring and say 1-1
Tranmere haven’t been much better either despite a positive start, some of the names we brought in over the summer I was surprised at and thought we could have a good crack at promotion although we’ve been terrible lately. Saunders and Jennings need dropping for the new lads now and again like Dyche Adkin’s need to have a proper go at teams especially at home, I think we will win tonight and will be plenty there as it’s Friday also going myself so I think it will be a cracker and 3-1 tranmere.
18 Sep 2024 16:27:29
He was great for what we needed when he first sign if you remember how bad our squad was but we have built a half decent team so we need to be playing football now not hoof ball, Eddie Howe would get us top 10 but is anyone out there at that level who would come to us?
Give moyes until the end of the season and keep our eyes out for a bigger manager like West Ham did, Dyche has to go though the squad has moved on and it’s time for a fresh perspective who can play football and will give the kids a go all of who did well last night to be fairs.
