Everton making enquiries re a loan deal for Sofyan Amrabat, wow that's some player, would be ideal for us but probably too expensive, high wages.
{Ed025's Note - i have to say im not a big fan at all Uran, had a good world cup of course but has done squat at United mate, very slow and no better than Gueye for me..
1.) 27 Aug 2024 18:17:01
ed25 yes he could have more pace but he’s very forceful, very strong on the ball and covers extremely well, he has the ability to set up the front three also with his passing ability, for me would be a massive improvement, would play in front of back three and give us more protection, but it probably will not happen anyway ED.
{Ed025's Note - its all about opinions Uran i suppose, he might be decent with better players around him of course but in our team at the moment he is very unlikely to get that imo mate..
2.) 27 Aug 2024 22:41:18
No thanks too slow. Would get found out in the Prem. Have enough joggers already.
04 Jan 2022 18:09:29
Two great signings, top young talent, with no egos, third one will be the same.
1.) 04 Jan 2022 18:19:56
Yep really good with more to come apparently.
2.) 04 Jan 2022 18:20:58
Will he? Who is it?
3.) 04 Jan 2022 18:47:45
Burnley’s Dwight McNeil the next one!
{Ed0666's Note - I think he’s a proper proper player. Really like him.
4.) 04 Jan 2022 18:51:16
He would be excellent for us.
5.) 04 Jan 2022 19:34:31
Whilst would like to see McNeil play for us can’t see this one happening.
Apparently Burnley want £40m for him!
Also why would a team in a relegation battle sell one of their prized assets to a rival in the league?
Add to that as we’re currently in that relegation fight with Burnley surely it would make no sense for them to strengthen us at this time.
6.) 04 Jan 2022 19:49:32
He’s also another left winger.
7.) 04 Jan 2022 20:10:50
If a chairman thinks his club are going down I reckon he might take £40 million for a player in January.
{Ed0666's Note - McNeil is not gonna cost nowhere near £40 million British pounds when & if he’s sold. I’d be flabbergasted if he did.
8.) 04 Jan 2022 20:30:18
I saw they might be interested in Holgate perhaps a deal to be done? ??♂️.
9.) 04 Jan 2022 20:29:03
Ed66 we r Everton! 50 million! ?.
{Ed0666's Note - now that really made me chuckle thanks mate ?
10.) 04 Jan 2022 21:51:48
Swap em iwobi and Holgate for mcneil.
11.) 04 Jan 2022 23:23:58
Well it was feasible until you threw Iwobi in.
12.) 05 Jan 2022 08:35:40
Let's have a note of caution peeps. Disappointment comes partly because on this site (probably other teams have the same) , a couple of 'big' Club announcements are met with (in my view) ott enthusiasm/ expectations. Cheer it on by all means but temper that with a bit of wait and see. Iwobi comes to mind.
13.) 05 Jan 2022 09:50:05
Who would he replace in the team?
14.) 05 Jan 2022 11:54:29
Bring McNeil in for who?
15.) 05 Jan 2022 15:30:10
Bruno Guimaraes linked today, serious player. would improve our midfield 100% if we could pull it off.
16.) 05 Jan 2022 17:14:05
As much as I'd love some quality through the door I draw the line at pulling anybody off for them to sign.
17.) 06 Jan 2022 00:09:23
Yep straight swap for Holgate plus a Rafa bonus Iwobi.
18.) 06 Jan 2022 14:07:35
McNeil £40m or £50m with Holgate.
26 Jul 2021 07:47:21
Our three new signings, just happens to be our three best performer yesterday, !
What does this tell the Manager! and the knockers on this site!
{Ed0666's Note - that Rafa is a genius to get a tune out of 3 broken instruments
1.) 26 Jul 2021 09:04:14
Normally the way with new signings Uran. Not getting too excited just yet.
2.) 26 Jul 2021 10:18:02
It bodes well, uran, but it's one game! It's all about fitness in the first few games of preseason.
3.) 26 Jul 2021 11:24:08
Nothing much changed, they where faster to the ball than us, kept possession better than us, played better football than us and had more possession until the kids came on. Yes early days and hopefully Rafa can get them fit for the start of the season.
4.) 26 Jul 2021 11:51:14
Bluemike1 they are also 18 games into their season so they would obviously be mile's ahead of us in terms of fitness and match sharpness I thought second half we played very well and imo I thought Gomes had a great half.
5.) 26 Jul 2021 12:45:00
Not expecting our fans to make reasonable comments about pre season performances are you Branky?
6.) 26 Jul 2021 13:03:53
Thing is we've had pre seasons before where we've won all our games and then started the season badly! As long as Rafa is getting what he wants out of it re fitness/ development of style/ running rule over players then I couldn't give a monkeys on results and even performances. You wouldn't watch a boxer sparring a few weeks before a big fight and be worried that he didn't box the way you expect him to on the big night!
7.) 26 Jul 2021 13:05:27
Ha ha I should know better shouldn't I JBtoffee.
8.) 26 Jul 2021 18:40:13
Branky and JB, read what I said "until the kids came on". Why do you expect some of our players to change, they were slow and useless last season and they where the same yesterday, unless something miraculous happens they will be slow and useless when the season starts. The kids and the team where much better in the second half.
11 Nov 2019 17:46:52
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to renew their interest in Anthony Gordon
I hope we have on a good contract
Our Best talent since Rooney for me.
{Ed002's Note - There interest has not gone away.}
1.) 11 Nov 2019 19:18:29
Recently signed a four year contract according to reports.
2.) 12 Nov 2019 08:38:51
signed a four year deal in the summer, will get restless if not given the opportunity soon, feels he's ready for big league involvment.
22 Mar 2019 07:55:02
Linked this morning with Salomon Rondon, that's my type of front man
Really liked him at West Brom
Brilliant player. Sign him up Everton!
1.) 22 Mar 2019 09:44:14
Is he gunna get us 20 goals, I like rondon but is he that much better than DCL?
2.) 22 Mar 2019 13:49:37
Different type of striker to DCL, stronger, holds the ball up very well, just what we need.
3.) 22 Mar 2019 14:59:19
Hey Johny mate we definitely need a striker in the summer window, top priority I would say, DCL not the answer. good at times but goes missing.
4.) 22 Mar 2019 16:39:45
He wants to stay in Newcastle according to reports.
5.) 22 Mar 2019 17:14:25
Am not saying we don't need a striker but I dnt think rondon is better that DCL he is doing well for us right now, England u21 player of the year, scored for England again last night. He needs a run and competition not just replacing.
6.) 22 Mar 2019 17:33:16
Agree Johnny mate better striker req ASAP.
7.) 24 Mar 2019 08:21:32
I didn't say replace DCL if we move our other two strikers on and replace them with Rondon that would be great business, we need 3 Strikers.
8.) 24 Mar 2019 11:50:14
I would love Rondon a great Everton type centre forward, would not cost the earth be a great asset.
9.) 24 Mar 2019 15:44:46
DCL is coming on great and will hopefully step it up further next season. I would like someone else in to take pressure off him. Ed’s any chance of Callum Wilson being an option in the summer?
{Ed002's Note - Everton has shown no interest in him.}
10.) 24 Mar 2019 17:39:00
Ok thanks Ed.
11.) 25 Mar 2019 07:12:07
If Rondon could achieve 10 to 12 goals in a season along with another 10 to 12 goals from DCL and maybe 5 or 6 from Simms then that’s nearly 30 goals from the one position. That’s the way to go next season forget the one main striker that will gat you 25 to 30 goals a season they are just not available
This way we get blood our youngsters.
12.) 31 Mar 2019 16:49:36
Is Rondon good enough for a top six side? Personally I don’t think he is any better than mid table. We need to be looking at better players than him, I know they are not easy to find or attract to EFC at the moment but I agree with other comments that he’s no better than DCL.
13.) 31 Mar 2019 21:25:00
I'd we want a target man who can score goals surely Mitrovic would be a better option than Rondon.

Hi Ed any news and info on the return of Stanley Mills, I was hoping he could make a breakthrough into the first time squad this season, weaning him in slowly from the bench, tremendous prospect!
{Ed025's Note - i have not had any updates on Stanley for a while now Uran, but as you say mate he is a very promising young man..
1.) 02 Aug 2024 16:23:53
Yeah whatever happened to him? I know he was flying at Oxford utd and then totally vanished.
2.) 02 Aug 2024 16:56:40
According to his Wikipedia page - he had a serious knee injury Jan 2024.
{Ed025's Note - thanks for that Sobs..
3.) 02 Aug 2024 16:58:16
Got a knee injury while at Oxford. Still out.
4.) 02 Aug 2024 21:15:12
Oh that's not good. Hope he's not finished but 8 months and still out is incredibly serious.
27 Jun 2024 22:11:30
At last, it now beginning to look like we have leadership for our great club, something that has been lacking over the past years.
15 Apr 2024 22:38:44
Can anyone understand why he keeps playing Young? And leaving him on for the full game, he should voluntarily step down now.
{Ed025's Note - amen to that Uran..
1.) 15 Apr 2024 23:26:00
Maybe Jack's had a word and said boss if your going to play useless tactics leave me out.
2.) 15 Apr 2024 23:28:21
Young shouldn’t even be at the club. When are we going to stop playing once we’re players, and actually get some young talent into the team.
3.) 16 Apr 2024 06:18:25
Young gets a game because Harrison has been genuinely woeful. If you look at stats young makes more successful crosses and gets into the box far more. Harrison's heat maps show he's not in the box most games and he might make 2 crosses. I'm not saying young is great but when Harrison is the alternative I can see why he gets played.
Young covers 4 positions as well so overall he's a good utility player with in tiny squad.
I agree he shouldn't be starting and should just be used as cover but it's not his fault all the rest are even worse than he is.
4.) 16 Apr 2024 08:57:51
Young is crap. End of.
17 Nov 2023 14:31:10
Sad news for football
However this judgement will make everyone at Everton stronger, united and more determined to succeed and climb up the table to a safe position.
1.) 17 Nov 2023 15:42:04
Agree mate, we will show them, we will survive, but think other clubs should come out and tell them 10 pts is to severer.
2.) 17 Nov 2023 20:43:46
I'm sure City and Chelskie will back us.
24 Oct 2023 17:34:08
Very sad today, to hear the news of the passing of our Chairman, R. I. P. Bill.
1.) 24 Oct 2023 17:51:23
Sad the guy never got the chance to see the new ground. RIP Bill.
2.) 24 Oct 2023 18:01:41
RIP and sorry for one or 2 cruel jokes. A few things feel like they make sense now and that's a damnation of our times of instant gossip and opinions. I for one will think a little before bashing the keys like a warrior. Thanks for the good times X.
3.) 24 Oct 2023 19:15:32
Agree FBS as supporters our emotions can get the better of us. As Harlex says it’s sad that Bill will never get the chance to sit in the new ground. God love you Bill RIP mate.
26 Sep 2024 14:31:43
I can’t see it taking three months.
{Ed002's Note - Based on what?}
21 Sep 2024 08:39:41
They can grab anyone of the first team players.
21 Sep 2024 08:35:35
Under Moyes we would definitely be harder to beat, plus, play to a system that suits are strengths, vast improvement on Dyche.
27 Aug 2024 18:17:01
ed25 yes he could have more pace but he’s very forceful, very strong on the ball and covers extremely well, he has the ability to set up the front three also with his passing ability, for me would be a massive improvement, would play in front of back three and give us more protection, but it probably will not happen anyway ED.
{Ed025's Note - its all about opinions Uran i suppose, he might be decent with better players around him of course but in our team at the moment he is very unlikely to get that imo mate..
21 Aug 2024 12:45:03
If we had that sort of money we should pay Dyche off first, anyway just paper talk, Dyche has already put the dampers on any hope of further incomings,
21 Sep 2024 08:30:10
There is no chance of Dyche getting the sack if we get beat today because it seems he is only answerable to Kevin Thelwell and they are in it this mess together, that’s the problem at Everton we are rudderless.
20 Sep 2024 11:50:51
When you listen to him in his press conference, he still speaks over the time before he came in, same problems, his only concern should not be the past but his team performances under his watch, he definitely doesn’t like our club, he’s getting paid £5 million pounds a year by our club to get results, I can’t see that he’s got what it takes to turn things around, unfortunately he will stay in his job because we haven’t got the money to pay him off, we are bottom of the league because we have the worst manager in the league, it should be a league table for the manager s not the clubs, name and shame, they get paid enough to be a failure anyway.
18 Sep 2024 18:03:49
No problem name comes after my dog one of the best in Europe competitions.
18 Sep 2024 12:07:41
Well he had a young striker on the bench that couldn’t of done any worse and never used him just like the Simms scenario, he approved the purchase of Betto under his watch.
18 Sep 2024 10:40:50
What do u expect under Dyche, no leadership from Midfield no plans that look obvious, let’s judge the premier league by the managers no the players not the clubs or the past history, we are bottom of the table because we have the worst manager in this league, Simple diagnosis!
