ed 25, Did william jose get a move, if not, is he still an option for us?

WOOD1425

{Ed025's Note - newcastle and chelsea were battling for him last i heard woody mate..

1.) 08 Aug 2018 17:49:33
I don't think Newcastle would have enough money for William Jose be a bit late for us to try getting him know I would amagine.

28 Jun 2018 14:16:49
ed25, Do you know if the club are still interested in william jose, would, imo, be a great addition.

WOOD1425

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know woody, i like him as well but there are no strong links at the moment mate..

ED 25,If Lookman has been givern asurancess of game time, just what is his beef?
He may well feel that he did not get a fair shake last season, and he may have a point, but, with a new manager, and a new approch, and with someone who has a reputation for being a good man manager, what is his problem?
If as some people have said it's home sickness, why the f. would you make a point of insising on a loan in Germany.
So ed, can you make any seance of this.

WOOD1425

{Ed025's Note - he is just trying to ascertain where he fits in woody, its a critical time for his future and i dont blame him for wanting to know where he stands with everton and if he has a future here, i dont think the home sickness factor is an issue now mate and im sure all will be clarified in the coming weeks..

1.) 28 Jun 2018 07:29:57
Hopefully he will stay, so ed the medium won't have to make any seance. Because he'll have to make an extra one for Sam Allerdyce.

Please, please, please, not another unt reject, do we never learn, they do not let players go who are top class performers, either injury prone, personal problems, or ones who have simple failed to fullfill their potential.
Simple really, if their not good enough for them, then their not good enough for us, we are not a retierment home for manchester unt failiours.

WOOD1425

1.) 31 Jul 2018 09:15:03
Tim Howard?

2.) 31 Jul 2018 09:30:44
Phil Neville did pretty well for us.

I take your point on Rojo though. As someone else in here said, he’s basically Funes Mori, but three times the price.

3.) 31 Jul 2018 12:53:00
Errr Kanchelkis.

21 Jul 2018 18:47:58
Barcelona have just offered 55m to chelsea for willian, not saying for one moment he would come here, but 55 mill top line performer, and we offer 50mill for, and i'm not being disrespectfull, someone nobody has hardly heared of, what is going on?

WOOD1425

1.) 21 Jul 2018 19:35:27
the "one we havnt heared ov" if 10 years younger tho.

2.) 21 Jul 2018 21:00:06
If the 50 mil is also based on add ins Wood, it may only be in the 30’s which is about right in this market at the moment. Unless they introduce a cap of some sort like in Rugby Union on player wages etc (which isn’t going to happen) then it’s only going to stay the same or get worse.

3.) 21 Jul 2018 21:31:34
£55m is the opening bid. He could end up going for over £80m. He’s also 29 years old with only a couple of years left in his prime.

Richarlison is 21 years old. Not a household name as such yet but with the potential he has, with the stats he got last season at the tender age of 20-21, I’m sure he will be in no time at all.

As mentioned before the figure is £35m plus add ons which think is very reasonable considering.

17 Jul 2018 14:58:37
If true, I am both surprized and disapointed that everton have put a price of 20m on Lookman, he is, imho, head and shoulders above the left sided player we are said to have looked at, and at just 20, this kid might be the next world star.
I know that everyone has their price, but if he is set on going, we should not be considering anything under 50m.

WOOD1425

1.) 17 Jul 2018 16:47:06
Not disputing what you are saying, but where have you heard the 20m to? To be honest, how many 'next best things' have everton had un the last 20 years who haven't reached the standards. Maybe he is a nightmare. Maybe he is disruptive. Maybe he has said for whatever reason he doesn't want to pkay for us. Maybe for whatever reason he thibks he shoukd already be playing for Real Madrid ir Barca.
Unfortunately we as fans have to listen to the powers that be, and if they are prepared to sell, it has to be for a reason.
Everyone he is saying he is going to be this and that, but maybe, just maybe the professionals that see him. daily think otherwise for a legitimate reason.
Personally, i hope he is going to be amazing as we already have him, but maybe he won't.

2.) 17 Jul 2018 17:11:32
Like a lot of us keep saying, is what is now being spurted true, i would think not but Marco is best placed to decide ins and outs, let's enjoy the ride eh mate.

11 Jul 2018 01:18:39
Not that anyone takes notice of us, but heres a thought. Luke Shaw, is in the last 12 mounths of his deal, clearly his face does not fit at united, and we are in need of a top class left back, surley there's a deal to be done there!

WOOD1425

1.) 11 Jul 2018 07:12:14
With lots of people talking about needing more mid to late twenties and our lack of Baines cover, Shaw could be a superb signing. He’s a confidence player and that’s been shattered at Utd.

Could see him doing a job for us for a few years as long as he stays injury free.

{Ed025's Note - the guy has ability reason but he needs to sort himself out mate, he is not looking after his body and is overweight which has seen him fall out with mourinho and other managers before him..

2.) 11 Jul 2018 07:39:30
Not sure about our ability to instil confidence in a player either to be honest. As most Clubs we have our favourites and admire loyalty (mine are Big Dunc of that era and Coleman, Baines of this era) but we (some of us) can certainly destroy a player as well and normally at home games (our away support whenever I have attended is superb) . Garbutt though seems to have lost confidence behind the scenes because when I have seen him play on the pitch he looked an ideal future Baines replacement. Just my opinion.

3.) 11 Jul 2018 08:57:51
If he can’t get motivated to keep his body trim whilst at a title challenging team then he’s likely to be less motivated at a top half challenging team. Good player, just lacks self discipline it seems.

4.) 11 Jul 2018 09:22:25
ktf950, absolutely mate! I agree 100% with all you say. Our home support is just different to the away for some reason. Goodison can be a heavy burdon for young players. Look at how Stones started making mistakes. now look at him in an England shirt!

5.) 11 Jul 2018 13:37:08
Maybe he needs to have a chat with Pickford’s chef:

goo.gl/bwb7cv

They could even do a Goodison 'Come Dine With Me' (please note, other food shows are available)

6.) 11 Jul 2018 18:33:03
Maybe that is the reason we have such wretched home form and a brilliant away record. Hmmm. hold on a minute lol.

7.) 12 Jul 2018 08:01:38
Wasn't talking about home and away form Smit666 was talking about Club supporters and their ability to destroy our own players, particularly at home. Have no idea if you attend home and away but surely if you do, you must have noticed the difference, it really is quite stark.

8.) 12 Jul 2018 09:43:57
Totally ktf950. The home crowd expects entertainment and let's players know if they are not delivering. The away crowd supports the team. as in the definition. support! No comparison at all. I remember watching Portsmouth losing 7 nil at home to Arsenal and their immense fans continued to sing "Play up Pompei". non stop and until the end. can't imagine anything like that at Goodison but can imagine our away support doing it. But I am guessing that Smit666 is disagreeing because I commented. I once said something was black and he disagreed and told me it was white! (thats just a little joke Smit)

9.) 12 Jul 2018 12:03:01
Not at all Degsy, KTF my comment was just to point out that we do ok at home but not away from home. The same young players play so the pressure might be a good thing and help them perform.

Degsy i don't remember your post about something being black but even so, i would imagine it was probably white anyway.

Lookman is under contract for 3/ 4 years, if he had turned out to be a lemon, he would still have expected the club to honour his contract, and continue to pay him.
So why does he seem to expect to walk away, givern his loan went well. Compeat for a first team place, or rot in the reserves for the next 4 years, that should be the choice he's givern.

WOOD1425

1.) 09 Jul 2018 08:11:53
And kiss goodbye to the prospect of signing anyone young and half decent with a reputation of treating players under contract so petulantly.

It’s counter productive to act that way (although I fully understand the frustration) . If it’s not working out, find a way that suit both party’s and move on.

If he’s right for the club the new management team will find a way to keep him for sure.

2.) 09 Jul 2018 09:07:15
I'm just delighted the young lad wants to play. A lot more than could be said for certain players last season at the club.

3.) 09 Jul 2018 10:57:25
Don't naively put words into his mouth.
He's at pre season. I think if he's smart he'll know the project and know that he will have a fair chance.
Sure a proper finished LW is needed. Bolasie must be shot if not sold.
And besides, Lookman can play across the front so he will be a very worthy game changer.

With all the nonsense written these days by bloggers, I'd honestly ignore making silly comments in future. You know nothing, nada sweet FA. So don't fall for it. When it's announced, we will know. No iron mike said this, I think that blah blah blah. You don't have a clue.

4.) 09 Jul 2018 12:08:53
WOOD1425 I think you need to take what the media are saying about Lookman with a pinch of salt. As mentioned he has returned to pre-season and I expect he will be happy if the management consider him worthy of a place in the team. If not like most he will consider his options. Whether he is under contract is pretty irrelevant as it would make more sense to sell him if he is not required as we would get a substantial return on our investment.

ed333, I MIGHT BE DYSLEXI, but at least i'm not a smart ass.
Not that I need explain myself to you, but I also have a degree in economics and an iq over 140,still i'm sure with your great spelling you must be much smarter than me.

WOOD1425

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t profess to be smart and I’m sure you are infinitely more learned than me my friend, to be honest fella it’s not really hard I’m a working class guy with basic education and a low IQ. I couldn’t never be in your cerebral realm but don’t use your dyslexia as an excuse mate you can use spellcheck. My wife’s dyslexic she uses spellcheck when she writes.

Not a red card, a yellow card, or even a foul, it's a contact sport, he played the ball, FIRST, contact thereafder is insidental.
Perhaps the FA might ponder on why not one english official was asked to go to the world cup, it's not complecated, we my have a great competition, but we have had to stack that with talent from the rest of the world, perhaps we should consider bringing some of there refs. Today proved ours are not up to the job.

WOOD1425

{Ed0333's Note - your spelling is a bit off today fella.

Is mcCarthy back in full training? If so we should give him till at least the January window to make his case, when fit, top player.
