FFS! How long is it going to take for Bill and the Board to do something about this pathetic excuse of a manager? Taken apart by Stoke City, praying that Arsenal, the Dark Side and Man City win to keep us where we are. It is beyond embarrassing now, for the sake of the club Bill sack this fool now.

Wedgewood

{Ed025's Note - dead right wedge..

Noting can be added to what has already been said. Only that the last time I trudged out of Goodison feeling this depressed was a 0-0 against Coventry in 1994. Its worse than pathetic.

Wedgewood

{Ed025's Note - yep..

Mate I went to the Everton v Coventry game on New Year's Eve 1983 where only 8,000 fans turned up (we were really rubbish then) and thought we would never sink that low again. Tonight was on a par with that, absolute rubbish!

Just watched Arsenal play in a totally different direct style to win at City. If you watched it marmite man, take notice. If Wenger can compromise so can YOU!

Wedgewood

1.) Im sorry but has he not compromised in the last 3 games or was it my imagination seeing Jags and the rest hoofing the ball up to Lakaku? Your the worst kind of supporter in my book don't need your type.

2.) Ye cause we have a squad just like the gunners don't we if everyone on here can do a better job than bobby then why aren't any of you the manager of our team. Instead of going behind him an jumpin on his bk how about just getting behind him and just givin him a bit of support. Also ed if eto goes I've been told no one will replace him does this mean one of the younger strikers will be pushed up to the first team bench and if so who do you think it will be

3.) Well most of us who are on his back are doing so because even as amateurs we understand the basic concepts of the game, for example.

1 Practicing set pieces, quite useful for scoring goals.

2 playing players in their correct positions to get the best out of them.

3 Adjusting your tactics if the game plan doesn't work.

4 The fact that not leaking goals is as important as scoring them.

5 If you make a mistake put it right after the game not do it again week in week out till January and still insist you are doing the right thing.

If you want to support a man who will not admit we have a problem, and now is even using his time at Wigan as an example of success and that is his plan to get us out of this mess that is up to you. You are entitled to your opinion,

And to answer your question no we are not as good as Arsenal and that is the whole point. Today even Wenger realized as good as they are, they had to go direct and change things around to get a win. (the reason we play the game) And unless our revered manager does the same and compromises his "phenomenal" football philosophy we are in deep crap, no amount of blind support for el Bob is going to change that.

4.) Has he changed Mike? I saw the same as you, but he claims time and again there is no change. Is it him, or is it the players just ignoring him? Do you not find that a concern?

If holding an opinion you do not agree with makes me the worst type of supporter in your book, so be it. I couldn't care less.

In tonight's Echo el-Bob says he will not sacrifice his principals for a quick fix.

Here are some quotes from the article.

Asked if he was ever tempted to adopt a more direct approach he said: "Never. The doubt is to make sure that the players get back to enjoying their football." (Kind of makes you wonder about him agreeing to the players request to go more direct?)

"It's no good for us to change around in terms of style or how you're going to win games because it's no good to win one game and then lose the next three." (I would take that as oppose to losing four on the bounce your way you clown.)

"I had it before at Wigan. In the first three seasons we always finished with our aim of staying in the Premier League because we had really good runs and we were very good at what we were doing. (So good you just avoided relegation each year!)

"We won the FA Cup because you get into a position where the team knows how to perform." (And got relegated in the process is acceptable?)

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but if he really believes the garbage he comes out with, I just can not see how we are going to survive this season.

Wedgewood

{Ed025's Note - thats very worrying wedge..

1.) Whats got my goat up this season is we don't practice set pieces Bobby prefers to score in open play. I love football

{Ed025's Note - its amazing mate..

Good analogy Ed, let's just hope that the big box we think has the huge train set in doesn't contain one of granny's 1970's home knitted jumpers that is three sizes too small!

I saw that Hugo, it also claimed Bainesy was bemoaning the space we were giving Utd. Does make you wonder if the stories of a half time player revolt have legs?

I tend to agree AB, I've nothing against Eddie Howe, I hope he does well, however, I remember the last time we opted for a promising Manager who had done reasonably well at a smaller club. That was Mike Walker and as we know it didn't end well for us. If Mr Moshiri is as we are led to believe going to make major investment in Everton, then a percentage of that has to be in an established manager.

Spot on Garyo. Bill deserves our thanks and respect, not just for what has happened in recent months, but also for taking on the club in the mess it was in and giving us stability at a time when it would have been so easy for us to go the way of Leeds Utd and others.

Wedgewood

{Ed025's Note - he always said he would get the best possible for us wedge, and seems to have delivered in the shape of moshiri mate..

Agree with Hugo about Benitez I just don't rate him, Start with Mourinho, and work our way down, if we were unable to secure a top manager and it comes down to a Moyes return Hughes etc. I think I would prefer to give Unsy a go under a director of football. If nothing else we would see the kids come through.

Regardless of what opinion I may hold on our next manager, once appointed I would support him.
