We've been linked now to Barios of Colombia. As he saw fit to head but Henderson for no reason he should fit right in and do for me.

1.) 16 Jul 2018 17:41:25
Thought he was off to Spurs?

2.) 16 Jul 2018 18:32:37
make him Captain!

05 Apr 2016 21:33:16
Baines says there no sense of togetherness in the dressing room for 2 years. Watch out for an announcement he is injured for the weekend. He will get exiled like Eto and Distin for speaking out against RM.

1.) 05 Apr 2016 22:07:45
Difference is he made it public. Bit obvious for Martinez to make him 'injured' after him going so public with it.

Plus Baines has been at the club a long time and dare I say a more senior figure than they other two players you mention. Maybe more players will back Baines and it may or hopefully will be the beginning of the end for Martinez.

2.) 05 Apr 2016 22:08:24
Yes I believe you as I believe that Martinez is a vindictive arrogant dictator and not the nice guy most think he is.
What has happened to Osman, Piennar, what happened to Distan.
He will come on the radio and tell you a player is one of the best then drop him, it has happened with all these players including Baines, oh yes Eto as well.
Baines is a true blue that is for certain.

3.) 06 Apr 2016 00:32:37
Baines said there's no chemistry. There's a bit difference between chemistry and togetherness.

4.) 06 Apr 2016 09:33:15
It would be fitting if at the next home game the fans give Baines an extra big cheer for coming out and saying what he did. The board must take notice. That is if he is selected or "injured".

5.) 06 Apr 2016 11:08:22
I hate to say it but Leighton has some guts and has put himself on the line.
i have been saying for months on here we MUST take pro active action like me not renewing my season ticket if evryone did it board would have to have acted.
I have been criticised being told I not true fan having supported them since in short trousersin 59! .
Even true fans and loyal can only stand so much.
A dog may be loyal but if you kick it enough it will bite back.

06 Jul 2014 22:36:44
Dutch press saying we have agreed a fee for Dusan Tadic and have beaten Southampton to sign him

1.) 07 Jul 2014 06:26:06
I highly doubt it

2.) 07 Jul 2014 08:03:56
I also highly doubt it. He won't come cheap and they have far more financial muscle than us.

3.) 07 Jul 2014 08:29:13
This was actually in the Sunday people yesterday, how accurate it is I don't know because it WAS the the Sunday people. I'd like it to be true though, fee of around 8-9 million being reported which I'd like to think we could afford!.

4.) AB1878, they actually have debts that dwarf ours

5.) 07 Jul 2014 10:31:52
But that doesn't stop them from spending more than we do! Everywhere is reporting that the deal for him to go there is practically done, anyway. Shame, he's an excellent player

6.) Hope so just checked him out as I knew nowt about him and looks a class act.

7.) Not sure if this means anything but they are reporting the same thing on the southampton site as well.

22 Jan 2014 22:28:13
Falcao suffered horrific knee injury tonight and may even miss the World Cup, could be that Monaco may now cancel any deal for Traore if they feel they need him now.

Marca.com in Spain say we are on trail of Jeffren Suarez, midfielder/winger for Sporting Lisbon. Ex Barca youngster. Heard anything Eds? {Ed025's Note - no rick..

My 5 year old grandson got 9/ 10 in his spelling. He spelt Grey as Gray then argued with his teacher that if he was wrong then it's Demarai's fault not his. Lol.

1.) 07 Dec 2021 12:52:58
?? Grayt post ricktee!

2.) 07 Dec 2021 18:30:20
The person marking your Grandsons spelling is neither right nor wrong. Gray/ Grey to denote shade are both acceptable, 10/ 10 for your Grandson.

{Ed025's Note - yeah its a grey area DFS.. :)

3.) 07 Dec 2021 19:50:05
Certainly not black and white.

03 Dec 2021 13:58:25
A word of advice to some of our younger contributors. I've followed this club for almost 60 years now through thick and thin. We've been in far worse states than we are now a few times (remember Wimbledon) . The only thing you can do is sit and sweat it out as it usually sorts itself out in the end. That said, it's not easy, comfortable or fun at the moment but we have to support the team and manager because the are ours and its what we do.

1.) 03 Dec 2021 14:18:54
With you there mate, we have been privileged to see the Glory days at Everton, be great to share them again, with all our fans young and old, oh and I have followed the Blues since the 60s, where has that time gone lol.

2.) 03 Dec 2021 16:27:51
I love your optimism, but at 23 years of age and only thing I can remember celebrating was beating Liverpool at anfield last year first I’ve ever seen may I add you can tell why the youth have given up. Useless rubbish every year get money and get worse haha I for one have turned my back on Everton waste of time.

{Ed025's Note - never give up on your club JJC, supporters must be there through thick and thin mate...even though it does not get much thinner than this..

3.) 03 Dec 2021 16:33:54
That apathy is part of the reason we’re crap now. Zero accountability for the board because they get away with years of mismanagement, and we’re meant to take it lying down.

4.) 03 Dec 2021 20:41:07
JJC am 32 yeah probly best thing I have seen is finishing 4th but everton is in my dna times are hard no doubt but we will turn this round in time we have ups and downs that what comes with being part of being an evertonion.

5.) 03 Dec 2021 20:58:29
JJC 23 lad and you're giving up. You will go far.

6.) 03 Dec 2021 21:01:11
I feel for the generations that haven't seen us lift a cup or win a league. Growing up watching the great team of the 80's was an amazing time to be a blue and at the time you never expect it to end. I have to hope we will get to them levels again in my life time, it isn't easy being a blue!

{Ed025's Note - your dead right there BP..

7.) 04 Dec 2021 12:43:39
JJC It will turn eventually and when it does those good times will be appreciated and treasured by you even more. I still remember the first time I was allowed to stay up to watch MOTD, I was 5yrs old and remember the commentator screaching Reids cross Grayyyy. We were the best then but just 18months before that you could argue we were in bigger do-do than now. I remember Mike Walker and the abysmal team, truly awful, a year where we had 1 great half which kept us up. It changed overnight when Royle come in and 8months later we had silverware with nearly the same players. Keep the faith we got this!

11 Aug 2021 11:55:26
I hope Rafa was told exactly what our transfer budget is. I remember when Walter Smith took over he bought Bakayoko, Nyarko and Dacourt and was then told the money had run out, he said he had been promised more and had he been told the truth he wouldn't have spent it all on those 3 as he knew we needed 6 or 7.If tge money is there Rafa will spend it wisely, if not he will do what he can with whst there is.

1.) 11 Aug 2021 19:33:35
I'm not sure about shopping in B and M, up until now we've been shopping in Waitrose - paying three times the price as everyone else for same rubbish or sometimes worse!

2.) 12 Aug 2021 02:55:46
Yes EFCONE we've been top dollar even though they were way past their Best Before Dates.

3.) 12 Aug 2021 10:35:34
While we have clearly overpaid for average players at least Mr Moshiri has made that money available. If he wasn't here every window would have been like this and FFP wouldn't even be a worry.

29 Jun 2021 10:36:38
If the deal for Rafa falls through at this stage for whatever reason it will be hard for us to attract anyone of the so called elite managers we have been linked with, people of that level don't want to been seen or even perceived to be 2nd choice for any job, let alone one not even in Europe.

1.) 29 Jun 2021 12:16:19
If it did fall through i reckon Martinez would end up back here.

20 Jun 2021 22:53:31
I've been a fan for 60 years and have sen managers ranging from brilliant to awful, in all that time no owner has asked me who he should hire or even cared if I approved. This time will be no different we will get who we get and every match next season I will be cheering and/ or moaning like I always have done because I love this club and no decision that is out of my hands will ever change that.

{Ed025's Note - spot on rick..

1.) 21 Jun 2021 07:47:33
Well said Rick 👍.

2.) 21 Jun 2021 08:53:17
60yrs myself to Rick Absolutely spot on Mate.

3.) 21 Jun 2021 09:10:30
2nd longest Club in the Top flight, we tend to forget/ dismiss what an achievement that is in itself. Yep 60 years myself.

{Ed025's Note - quite a few of us are in that group BCT, we need them to get a move on mate with the new stadium...or the smoke from the crematorium might spoil the paintwork.. :)

4.) 21 Jun 2021 09:21:07
They may not ask but we will certainly tell them if results are poor or the football is crap.

{Ed025's Note - and we are well within our rights to do so sa mate..

5.) 21 Jun 2021 12:54:43
Son is an accountant Ed25, when it's
my turn he is not going to stand on ceremony or expense, burner bin in back garden will do.

{Ed025's Note - im having a massive party BCT, im going in style mate and all the ale will be free, them pesky kids are getting as little as possible.. :)

The way he sets his teams up make Pulis look adventurous.
He may get a few good results but he ground would be half empty through boredom by xmas.

Hoarau looked a handful but I don't think we should be looking to sign another 31 year old

{Ed025's Note - he is a free agent rick, so would not be much of a gamble i expect mate..

Spot on geoffjono, Rafa or anyone else can only do so much with players who can't pass a ball 10 yards and panic at every set piece. Until we can ship out a few players we won't make much progress no matter who the manager is. Unfortunately some are on such good wages they won't move until they have less than a year left on their contracts and even then would expect us to pay up to the end for their supposed loyalty.

Except in the gutter press, in many cases it’s guilty even if proven innocent.

I thought he did a reasonable job, and to be fair to him scoring has never been his strong suit, probably only got a couple since he's been here.
