SSN reporting PSG bid 21.5m for Gueye player keen to go personally I don't blame him!

wakka57

1.) 27 Jan 2019 21:13:22
If the offer was right I would sell if the player wants to go. Seems to low an offer though. Maybe with his age and give us a chance to bring a new midfielder in. A new face may give everyone a lift. I like Gueye and he maybe a player you can get a few years out of like Fernandinho at 34. He’s not a leader though and maybe his replacement might and the balance in midfield could improve. Someone like Doucoure would be advantageous at defending set pieces.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 23:05:35
He’s 29 so £21m is a rubbish offer on market value he is in his prime now.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 23:30:59
Would you bring in a new midfielder now if Gueye went?
Goals is an area to be addressed so I’d move on a striker as we do have Jimmy Mc, Davies and Beni who could step up.

4.) 28 Jan 2019 08:06:17
I can see the logic Southern the problem I can see what striker? Nobody stands out and as we all know January’s not the best time. We don’t want to go out and buy a £20m striker and be same as Tosun. We need top striker and need to pay £60/ 70m. That type of player won’t be available until the summer then we need to convince them we are going somewhere! Easier said than done at the moment.

5.) 28 Jan 2019 11:46:55
Couldn't agree more STB, something I've said before. Posters on here have been crying out for the '20 goals a season man' for a long time. As if such a thing is common everywhere.

Personally I still think our biggest issue is not enough goals/ support from elsewhere.

Bernard, Walcott and to a lesser extent Gomes/ Lookman need to be creating more problems for defenses. With the exception of Richarlison we play like our only plan is to get the ball in the box to a striker. This means defenders can focus on stifling whoever that is, and until the support players get more involved and pose some questions that won't change, no matter who is up front.

Whether that is down to the players or Silva is the question!

6.) 28 Jan 2019 19:28:38
Connor Wickham is back and fit lol.

interesting rumour doing the rounds, According to Calcio Mercato, Everton snubbed a swap proposal from Inter Milan on deadline day, which involved Morgan Schneiderlin and Marcelo Brozovic.

wakka57

1.) 01 Feb 2018 08:49:51
I'd have taken that all day long.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 15:49:21
Pity.

3.) 01 Feb 2018 20:14:41
Unless he's the Croatian Schneiderlin.

Find it hard to take some posters snide comments on here although I understand it's a banter site.
Firstly it appears Big Sam is our new permanent manager, that if it true is done!
Hopefully he's the right man to turn our season, however it won't happen overnight.
Let's hope in January Walsh does what he's paid to do and brings some quality fresh talent into the squad!

We had little options available and they've turned to a specialist in reversing our current position.
He has spoken respectfully of the club and it's history and supporters I for one will be right behind him as he is our hope, I understand many peoples resentment and he like many has made a mistake but we all deserve a second chance, it was very costly for him!

We need a win tonight to lift everyone at this great club!
COYB!

Good shout mate, we have to live and let live, just get so fed up with some of these snide posts on here mate same as you, i will get behind whoever wants to help our Great Club, end of.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 18:54:32
In my opinion he no more made a mistake than many of us would. If someone approached me while under contract it does not necessarily mean I would not listen to them as indeed he did. Also I would point out I could perhaps be interested in the future but that I and you would have to discuss with my present employers again which is exactly what Sam did and said. It is only the hysteria perpetuated by the media in this Country that fans the fire.

20 Jul 2017 17:56:10
We were linked with Rachid Ghezzal in January I believe he is now a free agent, anyone know if we still have an interest in him?

wakka57

{Ed002's Note - He has made it clear he has no interest in moving to Everton.}

1.) 20 Jul 2017 19:21:22
Reports today Rachid Ghezzal is in talks with Watford.

2.) 20 Jul 2017 19:49:09
He must really dislike Everton if he's interested in Watford rather than us. Good old rumours eh 🤣.

3.) 21 Jul 2017 10:09:25
Contradicts what he said last year then, I remember reading a report that he wanted to join a team playing in Europe, I am sure Watford aren't in Europe!

15 May 2017 15:45:42
Has anyone else seen the leaked pic of the supposed kit with Sportpesa logo?
I do hope its a red herring and not the actual shirt, it looks a training kit!

wakka57

{Ed007's Note - efckit

1.) 15 May 2017 16:20:30
seen that it's definitely the training kit.

2.) 15 May 2017 16:21:22
Looks more like a training type shirt that.

3.) 15 May 2017 16:34:09
yes strange because the teaser on the website looks to be a lighter blue.

4.) 15 May 2017 17:43:31
To me it looks like the training top for next year guess we will find out tommorrow for sure.

Was that Andy Hinchcliffe having a personal vendetta against Everton and handball decisions? he was so wrong, hands in wrong position etc he's played the game and you know you cannot control every movement!
Best result is NFFC officially calling the var operative a cheat!

wakka57

1.) 21 Apr 2024 20:13:09
I agree they would of been harsh if they had been given but it wouldn't of shocked me either if they had been.

2.) 21 Apr 2024 20:20:48
Think all 3 were pens, be fuming if it was other way round, don't like the handball one but in today's game it's a pen, other 2 no question for me.

We've had our fair share of poor reffing and VAR decisions, but again the integrity of the game is once again brought into question, made up for the win as a Everton fan but as a football fan the games full of corruption.

{Ed025's Note - spot on Mocker mate..

3.) 21 Apr 2024 20:53:28
Definite pens, but what goes around comes around and with the amount of appalling decisions against this season will take this win and happily move on,

4.) 21 Apr 2024 21:53:41
Don't blame Forest for calling VAR out, but happy with the win. I'm taking it as payback for all the wrong decisions that have gone against us.

5.) 21 Apr 2024 21:23:19
Of course GB, but to have 3 big calls in a game like that and not to even be looked at in this age of VAR and scrutiny and for Forest to pre game question the VAR official before the game with his alliance to Luton just shows just shows how much corruption is within the game that for me runs football, we all moan and have had our fair share but 3 in a game is scandalous and serious questions of football officials asked again.

The win more than likely gets us safe, anything from the Derby would be a bonus.

Was made up for Mcneil, you could tell with celebrations and team mates his personal problems have weighed heavy.

6.) 21 Apr 2024 21:50:59
Don’t think the first 2 were pens - third one probably but would need to see it from a different angle to confirm.

However not sure why anyone is bothered as none were given and we came away with all 3 points.

Nice to finally end up benefitting from potential VAR errors as we know we’ve had our fair share go against us.

Think the tweet by Forest official account is ridiculous though - what do they genuinely expect to achieve? All I can see is refs being even stricter against them.

{Ed025's Note - take it from me Dan, all 3 were stonewall pens mate..

7.) 21 Apr 2024 22:37:57
I think 2 were pens and one maybe (wouldn't have been overturned if ref gave it) . That said it this instance Forest are confusing corrupting for ineptitude by both PGMOL and reffing team. In the old days it would be brushed off as it evens itself out over a season.

8.) 21 Apr 2024 22:49:58
Young is a disaster waiting to happen. The hand ball one would have been harsh but the other two he went through the back of the player or tackled from behind in the box. The guy is suppose to be a professional and even my five year old understands you’ll likely give away a pen for that. Stupid tackles, just utterly stupid.

They could easily have had two pens out of that. Dodgy VAR going in our favour for once. It takes the shine of the win completely. What a farce.

9.) 22 Apr 2024 01:50:42
The last was definitely a penalty and VAR should have overturned the referee's decision as clear and obvious error ie ref thought he got the ball but he didn't
the first could have been but is one that VAR should keep out of it as a judgement call, ref knew there was contact but decided there wasn't enough for a penalty.
the handball definitely not a penalty, ball to hand.

10.) 22 Apr 2024 03:28:06
First two were not clear and obvious errors however the third one was a stone wall penalty. Young is a liability and needs to be left at home on game day.

11.) 22 Apr 2024 05:48:37
Agree with WT, handball at beginning of season would have been given but tightened since so correct decision. The second, the lad had already planted his foot before he decided to go down as an after thought, so no! . Certainly both nowhere near stonewall. The one that was a certain was Young through the back of the lad, a blind persons dog would have sat down on the spot and refused to move. For VAR to seemingly agree with the ref is baffling. A truly independent regulator in Prem football is sorely needed.

12.) 22 Apr 2024 07:59:45
It’s like watching MOTD2….

13.) 22 Apr 2024 08:26:23
It's not really the point which 1 or 2 were and were not pens. All the same player and all if against us, we'd be screaming out for a rigged against Everton narrative. It's not something we need to risk with Godfrey on the bench. I know he's not been same since his leg bit I thought he was playing ok this season when he's been in team. I wonder what he's done to get benched?

14.) 22 Apr 2024 18:26:55
I disagree Gingerdan. I remember klopp came out after the spurs game where VAR made a blunder. Klopp mentioned in his press conference that it was a mistake and perhaps the game should be replayed. It was him playing mind games and for the next month or so, liverpool seemed to get a lot of favourable decisions go their way. It was almost like refs were told not to give anything against then. Maybe Forest coming out with that tweet will have the same affect for them for their remaining fixtures. Just a theory.

30 Aug 2023 20:21:11
Watching the game but not sure who's the league 2 club.

wakka57

1.) 30 Aug 2023 20:40:11
It’s a disgrace.

2.) 30 Aug 2023 20:45:32
It's so bad.

3.) 30 Aug 2023 20:48:34
Where's VAR when you need it!

4.) 30 Aug 2023 20:50:12
I switched it off after the first minute. After the shambles of the first minute I just couldn't face it.

5.) 30 Aug 2023 20:51:43
My thoughts exactly, makes you wonder what they do in training, passing obviously is not practiced.

27 Apr 2023 21:45:16
The board employed the managers sanctioned the signings and must take the blame for putting this great club in the position it's heading for, the value will drop so no one seeking to purchase the club will want to meet Moshiri's value, difficult times ahead!
I'm not sure the players we have are equipped to battle in the championship when we go down to fight their way back!
Yes I can't see how we can avoid the drop today's performance will destroy confidence further!
Pessimist or realist.

wakka57

1.) 27 Apr 2023 21:54:00
Only a handful will stay, most are welcome to leave.

2.) 27 Apr 2023 21:56:55
Well summed up wakka. Got to agree with you as gloomy as that statement was.
Thought the effort was there tonight but the problems run so deep in so many different aspects. Ultimately the team is very poor and just isn't premier league standard.

3.) 27 Apr 2023 21:59:37
Once we’re down players will be sold to save wages and their careers, then we’ll have either a transfer ban or points deducted. Face it, the club is doomed unless we can do a Burnley.

4.) 27 Apr 2023 22:07:08
The effort was there for half an hour, but how we’ve spent £600m and be under investigation for breaching sustainability limits to have zero attacking threat is beyond me.

5.) 27 Apr 2023 22:08:59
JBtoffee, thevtroble is who would want most of them with the changes they are on letcalone their lack of ability.

31 Jan 2023 20:02:40
As much as I as a lifetime Evertonian feel the disappointment of the situation we are in, looking at the reports of who we are after who turns us down and who's clubs won't sell then why is anyone surprised?
The club is in turmoil new manager in who it looks like will not get any support, fan's turn on the board demonstrations and unrest! We are in the bottom 2 of the league! Our scattergun approach to new signings shows we still have not learned from past mistakes!
Why does anyone want to come to a club in that position? Especially foreigners!
We have had no opportunity to support the new manager as no game is scheduled before today!
We are in this position collectively! And all need to accept that it will be a tough second half of the season!
Stop the blame game only one way forward solidarity support those that are here and carry the responsibility of the clubs tenure!
COYB forever Blue!

wakka57

1.) 31 Jan 2023 20:25:05
No, the board is to blame, simple.

2.) 31 Jan 2023 20:27:06
Well said wakka57 ??.

3.) 31 Jan 2023 20:48:30
Swann whether they are or not that won’t help at this time, it’s frustrating but they put us in this position and can’t help get us out! Sean Dyche and the players are the only ones supported by the greatest fans!

25 Jan 2023 14:35:27
The press like nothing better than a club in turmoil let alone a big club!
Misinformation, stories with no credibility, pathetic rumours all to keep the headlines going!
Moshiri was right in his comments that solidarity in the club it's players managers board and importantly the fans recognise that it's not about individuals that come and go it's a magnificent football club called Everton that matters! It will be here long after this debacle is over!
What will be will be! I nor any of you can change what happens we need to stick with our club help the players and hope for a timely resolution!

wakka57

{Ed025's Note - absolutely wakka mate..

The board are at fault for sanctioning sub standard players, who on earth would have let Benetez sign Rondon!
We have tried so called DOF what Brands actually did I don't know other than the debarcle with Moise Kean and Steve Walsh nothing more than a scout!

Blame the board they appoint the managers and then back them up by buying sub standard players without any proper research, the knock on effect is the next manager doesn't want them and it ends up the club constantly bleeding money!
It is no point until the rest of the dross are moved on, namely the underperformers from before FL's tenure!

Ed025 I totally understand, and like so many I am frustrated with the inept running of this great football club!
Known as the Bank of England in the seventies and a member of the big 6 we are now miles off the top table.
We so need stability and Lampard needs time and money to rebuild, but as a manager he must be frustrated after losing Richy to now have to lose Gordon as well.
He like us is frustrated at the time these transfers are taking, we desperately need to holt the rot and get 3 points this weekend!

wakka57

{Ed025's Note - I agree wakka mate. Transfers for a club like ours at the moment is very difficult. Selling teams need to bring in players before they let their current players go. So it’s a bit of a catch 22 situation..

Why on earth do we want to sell one of our best players? We cannot shop in the same window as Chelsea but you want to sell them the crown jewels? Are Everton now just a development club with limited aspirations!
A lot of people are criticising McNeill well we have Gordon who is already better and will continue to improve under Lampard!

wakka57

Ed025 I have to agree with you on this one, he is not tall enough for CB and lacks that extra leap smaller CB's have, he was lucky he was a solid defender and adapted to the full back role better, he got England call ups but was only really ever back up, since his injury he has lacked confidence whether he can get that back well time tells but it will run out soon!
I do fear that Tarkowski is the next Keane or Godfrey, Everton signing players from relegated clubs!

wakka57

{Ed025's Note - I just think evertonians make too many excuses for our underperforming players wakka. We cite injury, covid, confidence and any other thing we can think of to account for poor form. How about the real reasons? …overpaid, lazy, can’t be arsed and mollycoddled? Other clubs don’t accept it so why should we mate..

{Ed025's Note - im afraid Ellis would not have helped us wakka, Dyche has our centre forward ploughing a lone furrow with no support or team mate to lay off to mate, even Haaland could,nt help us with this dinosaur in charge..

We are muddling on to the end of the transfer window still not securing the much needed striker or wingers!

How many more times will Iwobi give the ball away needlessly before Dyche sees what the rest of us do
How many shots fist half? That’s why we will go down combined with the amount we concede.
