rumour Branthwaite rushed back too quickly and is now out for a lengthy period, not just for saturday.

wblue2

1.) 14 Aug 2024 10:20:42
Getting sold then?

2.) 14 Aug 2024 10:33:41
Let’s hope it’s just a rumour. O’Neil should be a competent replacement in the meantime.

3.) 14 Aug 2024 10:38:21
That might just put man utd off from trying to get him this window.

4.) 14 Aug 2024 11:38:57
O Neil plays on the wing. Do you mean Obrian.

5.) 14 Aug 2024 14:04:51
That’s the one Smitt. Half asleep.

6.) 15 Aug 2024 15:52:13
No chance O’brian is starting ahead of SD love child Kean.
No CB, no RB for Saturday, it’s like Groundhog Day being an Evertonian.

rumblings of a swap between newcastle and everton for Tom Davies and Sean Longstaff.

wblue2

1.) 06 Aug 2021 11:02:10
Why bother?

2.) 06 Aug 2021 14:01:39
Why would you swap players that are of a very similar standard? The only people to benefit from that would be the agents and players as they both could ask for a wage increase. click bait 101.

Denzel Dumfries inbound

could progress quickly over the weekend.

Carlo now coming out and sending the message to any of his players, listen if you're not happy here then go.

wonder if anyone of the current crop are actively pushing for an exit?

wblue2

1.) 19 May 2021 15:20:38
Hopefully most of them.

2.) 19 May 2021 16:27:17
They might not be happy playing for the club. But I’m sure their bank balance puts a smile on their faces.
Let’s face it a lot of them wouldn’t earn what they get here if they moved.

rumours floating about everton are looking to complete a deal for lille centre back gabriel dos santos, left footed brazilian centre back 22 years old.

wblue2

{Ed002's Note - Gabriel Magalhaes was the subject of several discussions between Lille and Arsenal - but he signed a new contract a couple of weeks ago.}

1.) 18 Feb 2020 11:15:24
cheers ed.

{Ed002's Note - Southampton and Everton have both sent scouts to watch the player.}

lot of debate/ arguing over Roman Dixon at the minute on Twitter/ X

interested to hear other thoughts on here

Ed, would you throw him in at Spurs for his first taste of first team football?

wblue2

{Ed025's Note - i have not seen enough of him to form an opinion at this time WB, Spurs have a couple of decent wingers and i dont want to see him skinned and his confidence dented so its a big call for him, but you could say unless they try him we will never know i suppose mate...its a tough one..

1.) 20 Aug 2024 17:15:55
If the lad has anything about him and is ever going to do well at this level, certainly from a competitive standpoint, he should be banging down Dyche's door pleading with him to play and get his chance.

I haven't seen a lot of him either Ed but the fact that he looks hungry and full of desire and has pace about him, means he is automatically better than Young or Holgate etc.

{Ed025's Note - yeah i get that BN, even if he gave him a half it would be something mate, but knowing SD i very much doubt it..

2.) 20 Aug 2024 17:39:21
If he's good enough then he's old enough. Think the lad would jump at the chance. Or we can loan him out and then sell him for peanuts at the end of the season.
Remember when Ratcliffe first came into the side, he had a mistake in him but his pace got him out of trouble. Look how he ended up.
Also if your ever going to try him it's now early in the season, before Sean starts using relegation as a reason for not using young players.

3.) 20 Aug 2024 17:41:24
Spurs away is not one I would bank on for us getting much. If anything I would try him on the cup the following week.

4.) 20 Aug 2024 19:00:21
I agree with BB on playing Dixon at Spurs but as a matter of interest Toffee Ace who would you playas Coleman and Garner are injured, Young is suspended and Holgate has no pace or positional sense and is an accident waiting to happen.

5.) 20 Aug 2024 19:03:17
Why? What are you going to learn playing him against Doncaster? Get him in against Spurs and let the lad have a go.
I mean Keane looked good playing nobody pre season, and look out that turned out.

6.) 20 Aug 2024 19:46:46
My point is that we could get destroyed by spurs the way we’re playing. I’d sooner protect him from that. Seriously will he be the difference? Of course not. One youngster untried in the prem will not solve our problems all on his own.

So my thought (and it’s just a thought) is spurs proposes risks to his confidence but Doncaster not so much. So if we have to see him, let’s start there. If he has a good game then there’s an argument that he can have a premier league start. If not, then at least we haven’t done any harm to his progression.

7.) 20 Aug 2024 20:01:02
I don’t buy this risk to confidence with young players. They just want to play and be given a chance. I mean say he plays really well against Doncaster, then fans will be screaming for him to play against Spurs, and Dyche will say he’s to tired and play Holgate.

8.) 20 Aug 2024 20:01:15
Play Dixon at rb and then we don't need right winger. Dixon is rapid, can dribble and cross a ball. Just have him other right on his own lol.

9.) 20 Aug 2024 20:19:39
You don't win anything with youngsters.

{Ed025's Note - or tired old men, or players who are crap, or ones who play under a manager without a scooby..

10.) 20 Aug 2024 20:40:58
I'm joking it's the famous old saying.
I would put Dixon in, he is the best we have at the moment.

11.) 20 Aug 2024 22:30:47
I remember watching a young Aaron Wan Bissaka make his debut, I think it was against Spurs for an injury ravaged palace side and he got motm and went on to play all fixtures that month and got player of the month.

I also remember Trent getting his full debut in a tasty clash against United and he looked top drawer.

This happens all the time and the big clubs aren’t scared of doing it either.

If he is good enough and let’s face it, he can’t be worse than what we have been subjected to, then effing play the lad.

Farhad Moshiri's dodgy loan agreements with 777/ A-Cap bringing the Friedkin takeover to a complete death

friedkin n co not moving forwards as the loan to 777 has worries for them legally.

what has Moshiri signed this club in for when getting those loans from 777.who every man and his dog could see were absolute crooks from the outset.

wblue2

1.) 19 Jul 2024 11:42:36
Do we think Usmanov is involved in this? Is he behind 777? It certainly is a shower of rubbish and our club is in the middle of it all. Just wish someone could come and buy us and get rid of Moshiri once and for all.

2.) 19 Jul 2024 11:48:13
Is administration now a real worry?

3.) 19 Jul 2024 12:12:27
What’s everyone’s obsession with Usmanov?

Moshiri and 777 have caused all this mess.

not really EFC related

anyone heard anything on Villa stealing a march on everyone by going for Buendia quickly from Norwich? be a superb signing for them that.

in regards to the subs, bernard and kean were absolutely knackered. The bench is thin and they were probably the best options to what needed doing (apart from maybe gordon instead of davies) its rough at the moment with squad depth. HOWEVER tha plyers out there should have been able to hold on to a 2-0 lead with 4 minutes to go lads come on? they should even worse be able to hold a goal lead for 30 seconds! keep the ball from kick off (delph fails to do so) leads to davies giving away a needless foul to let them pump it in the box. these are basics that every football fans knows, and these two have don't exactly what you shouldn't do, carlo getting stick for this is an absolute joke.

wblue2

1.) 22 Jan 2020 10:23:02
Totally agree wblue2.

2.) 22 Jan 2020 10:38:01
People on here will always look for any opportunity to moan whoever's the manager is. Davies is garbage and so is Pickford. As stated squad depth is dire at the minute.

3.) 22 Jan 2020 10:56:44
Pickford is quite the anomaly, he has these games where he pulls off a string of great saves and gets you something from the game (West Ham) , then has a mare. I’d say wait until after the euro’s, hopefully has a great tournament which increases his value and puts him in the shop window, then take stock.

4.) 22 Jan 2020 13:12:55
Can't believe that these professional footballers are knackered after 70 minutes. Roy Vernon smoked three packs of cigarettes a day and lasted 90 minutes, no substitutes in this days. The problem yesterday is that we went from an attacking mode into a defensive mode and once again it hurt us. How many times have we lost points in the final few minutes?

5.) 22 Jan 2020 19:28:33
Players from the 90s couldn't play now. Nothing to do with talent. GAZZA would never make a pro contract in this era. Athletes required. Our sick list is starting to really hurt us. Bernard subbed after 45 and 60 mins. He's being played to get fit because we're bear bones. He might last 90 mins next 2 games.

is the debt not £600m

then -200 as 200 of it is Friedkins

remaining debt is 200 odd with R&M
200 odd to 777

The extreme debt's anyway.

wblue2

{Ed002's Note - You may have forgotten the £450M shareholder loans from Moshiri.}

yeah pretty much as Ed says

EFC owe £600m (minimum) in debt to a group collective of Media rights funding, 777 and now the Friedkin group

Farhad Moshiri himself loaned £450m total, but he is willing to write that off, probably as he knows he'd never sell the club for 1billion+

the 777 debt, is a sticking point for many due to the legal complications the group find it in now with a court date said to be heard, A-Cap/ 777 basically have that debt, but as Friedkin found out people don't want to touch that right now due to legality issues.

the Friedkin group essentially bought MSP's previous debt held over EFC, and helped EFC to complete funding payment of the stadium.

essentially EFC are in debt up to their eye balls, and that is what is putting most bidders completely off, as it's essentially valuing EFC as a £700m+ club, not only would they have to pay the £600m debts, it would be £80m on top of that to Moshiri and then they'd need to inject immediate funds themselves in to EFC as a proof

essentially it's a ridiculously high deal for investors for a club not competing at the level of others you could get for smaller costs needing MUCH less body work.

i'd be very surprised if Moshiri found a competent sale at these demands, and given the legality issues surrounding the debt owed to 777/ A-Cap, with that issue possibly not being resolved until next year. they'd need a consortium of billionaires essentially. there's also the question mark of the clubs stance in the PL throughout all of this, obviously.

Textor is very loud, and very much all mouth, which leads me to believe he is not a serious bidder, even before the Palace shares are resolved.

the biggest hope is Moshiri lowers demand further, allowing Friedkin group to come back, writing off their own debt in to equity and finding a way around the 777 issues.

it's a complete mess which offers very slim hope to a club living off player sales, with only one *big* player asset left to sell in Jarrad Branthwaite.

i'd rather Dyche see out the year than Southgate yeah

id worry with Southgate, football wouldn't be much better given the football wasn't good with Saka/ Jude/ Palmer/ Kane/ Gordon/ Rice/ Trent never mind with our lot

he done well at international level with England, some are just that though, international managers.

do i think Southgate is a better club manager than Dyche? in truth? absolutely not.

if you stop following it purely off this, then i'm not sure how you made it past all the rest in the recent years alone, if you think this is the worst of it to come then maybe EFC isn't for you pal haha.
