hello ed, do you think with all the signings we have signed up to now being young and going into the under 21s, and barry and lukaku signed, will we still bring in maybe another 4 or 5 players to go into the 1st team squad.because we are no bigger than last season?

{Ed025's Note - another 2 maybe daz..

1.) 02 Aug 2014
I think we need another winger for a given. If we get Atsu on loan then maybe another striker on a permanent and possibly another centre half (left sided) and we'll be sound.

2.) 02 Aug 2014
I've heard from a mate who works at city(granted it's only as a steward) that Rodwell, Milner and Richards are in talks with bobby.
IF and I mean IF this is true and if atsu signing, then as long we keep mccarthy then I think we can all look forward to a competitive effort this season

3.) 02 Aug 2014
Henen, Atsu, back ST. and back GK.

4.) 02 Aug 2014
@ sconehead. I would love Milner here mate think he would fit right in but I think he may be out of our grasp, there'll be bigger fish than us sniffing around him. I would also have Richards but I don't think he'll oust jags, Distin, Stones or Coleman so not sure if he would come here to warm our bench he may as well stay and warm Citys for more money and Rodwell? Thanks but no thanks. For me anyway.

5.) 02 Aug 2014
Sitea has it nailed imo.

There will be 2 more signing (Striker and Winger) and Loans Loans Loans on deadline day! Just my thoughts like!

7.) 02 Aug 2014
Pb left side center back who do you reckon this?

We are no bigger mate but you have to take into account which youngsters will be coming into the first team that didn't last season which will probably be mcaleny, grant, browning and possibly duffy

9.) 02 Aug 2014
I can see Matty Kennedy having a part to play. One of our best young players, immensely talented.

10.) 02 Aug 2014
Swan you seem up to speed with the kids I'm honestly not. Other than Duffy (who I think is right footed anyway) do we have a natural left sided cb that could stand in if needed. @sitea I'm note sure who I want to be honest matey I've not really seen us linked to one as of yet.

11.) 02 Aug 2014
Sitea is probably right although I don't think a back up GK will come although I want one. A left sided CB in his mid 20s would be nice all our CBs are either under 23 or over 30

12.) 02 Aug 2014
Swan I agree on a few youngsters coming through mate. Duffy looked good a couple years back and I wouldn't mind seein what matthew Kennedy can do

Tyias browning i'm guessing could play there as could duffy but no one naturally plays there I don't believe, apart from galloway but he probably won't play, other than distin we have no left footed centre backs, alcaraz and jags can play there but not preffered, i'm not as up to speed as i'd like to be, so sorry mate but I can't think of any naturally left sided centre backs bar distin, sconehead, I haven't seen much of kennedy, but with atsu coming in I doubt he will play so its probably a loan for him, the 2 I most want to see are ledson (17 and according to martinez he was ready for the first team last season, jesus he must be good and from what I saw of the england under 17s he is very talented) and green (god knows how long I've heard about how good he is and all I've seen is flashes, and in those flashes included free kicks and somehow getting past 3 players despite being sandwiched, apparently he doesn't have a position yet), i'm slightly concerened about francisco junior and john lundstram, junior doesn't seem to be rated that highly, lundstram looks very talented but at his age he should be knocking on the door for the first team but will probably be going out on loan (mk dons) or sold, shame, maybe martinez just doesn't rate him

14.) 02 Aug 2014
Fair enough Swan, thanks for the info. I'm not up to speed on our rezzies if I 'm honest. I just about get enough time to go the senior games so nice ine for the heads up. Other than what Swan says sitea, it looks like we need to bring a left footed centre back in. Who that is I have no idea.

Hasn't Luke garbutt been getting high reviews this pre season??

He has indeed mate

17.) 02 Aug 2014
Do you recon he's a Potential first teamer swan?

I watched him about 6 times for cheltenham and I have to say I wasnt impressed, I expected jake bidwell to make it, how wrong I was, garbutt, according to colchester fans, was miles ahead of anyone in that league, I didn't see any game for them but based on pre season and highlights (not the best I know) he certainly has the ability, he has the left foot and technique of baines (crossing, free kicks etc), the physique of luke shaw (very big for a left back) and is faster than both, I don't know where he fits in atm, he will probably be very much like baines when he reaches his potential, but until then, I don't see him featuring, unless martinez is serious about baines going into midfield, garbutt will very likely be our long term left back, with bryan as competition, he may go on loan to the championship this season (based on what martinez has said) or he may stay and fight for his place, either way, I believe he definitely has the ability and potential to play in the premier league, and more importantly? He will maybe be a bigger, faster and stronger version of baines and can learn link up as he gets older, he is already a decent defender, we may well have something special in him mate

Gallo the new lad also can play left side CB . But regarding to his age too young may cause problem. Actually this position and back up Gk my guess not plan A. But not sure Distin decide the final career contract and also Joel perform bad decision and participating.
