Heard a rumour that Henens agent has very close ties to olympiacos and engineered the whole deal as a way of getting him to everton due to the fact that both us and anderlecht would not budge on there valuation. I would imagine or hope a deal is in place for the end of his loan period

I seem to remember Utd did something similar with a kid from spurs going to Belgium for cheap then they bought him for about fifth of what spurs wanted. Can't remember his name though so don't know if he was any good.

I'd heard it was to do with third party ownership.his agent does have close ties with a director at Olympiacos and is believed to be the third party. Everton had agreed a fee of around 1.5 million for the lad based on appearances. Then the third investor turned up unbeknown to Everton. as we are not allowed to deal with two clubs on one transfer and Anderlecht didn't want to pay any money out, the impasse occurred . Eventually the third party agreed to pay what was originally offered and loaned to Everton with a view to buy at the end of this season. Cost to us 1.5 + add ons, appearances etc upto a value of 3 million. Could still be a bargain.
