His salary is around £2m a season. So would be affordable for Everton. The man has immense potential, but never stays fit long enough to get a run going. But are these links just lazy journalism due to MU interest in Baines and supposed interest in Fellaini? Are they suggesting some sort of player plus cash deal?

Another great player Fergie ruined. He was one of the best attacking midfielders in the world at Porto, then Fergie suffocated him. Did the same with Rooney & Smith.

IMO SAF did ruin Anderson. At Porto he was a very special CAM, but SAF tried turning him into a deeper midfielder instead of playing him CAM where he was best. He is 100 times the player Gibson is and Everton got the best out of him. For £7m he would be a steal. Still only 24.
